Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)

What a great film...! Its good to Star Trek back at the top of its game. The new cast are brilliant with Pine and Urban the stand out stars of the piece... The story is a little action heavy for my liking but that is the modern way I guess. That aside the film makers have worked hard to please both the casual viewer as well as the die hard fan, and I think they have succeeded on most levels... It would be great to explore this Star Trek universe with a TV series but I am guessing that would be a little pricey, so will have to see what the next movie brings us... I cant wait for that...!

What a breath of fresh air... A brilliant film in every respect. I was lucky enough to this movie at a special preview and I cant tell you how great a film this is... At first you think its about racing cars, but its not it really does give you an insight into the human condition...

The rivalry between Hunt and Lauder is just played brilliantly... The race sequences are superb, really taking you back to the 70s... The heyday of this awesome sport. It shows the end of an era where the gentlemen drivers begin to give way to professional sportsmen and the end (in my opinion) of the excitement of the sport. It shows what a pale reflection today's F1 is of this once great sport, and what great characters we have lost...

A real must see movie

Dredd (2012)

Oh dear... How can such an awful movie come from such great sauce material...? It looks like the entire budget went on Karl Urban... A great choice for the role of Dredd, and sadly that last great choice the film makers made... It would seem we all drive VW transporters in the future..! the Lawmaker bikes were horrible.. The script could have been written by a 15 year old school child with English as a second language, and as for the story... Well there simply wasn't one....!

Although the Sly Stallone one wasn't perfect it at least had a story and it looked good... I was so looking forward to this movie and was so disappointed...!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, could not be a better TV show, it really did change the way TV shows were written. Before BtVS TV was just bland simple entertainment, nothing more. BtVS raised the bar, the story arc is almost biblical, a great saga that follows our heroes from creation to death and then final victory. The characters are so richly written, the stories are Dickensian in there detail and complexity... Even the bad episodes make other TV shows look dull, but the good episodes and the great episode will burn themselves on to your heart, they will entertain and teach you something about your self. The Best TV show of all Time Period!
