The Core (2003)
There's lot to be seen below the ground you walk on.
Being an educated man in the ways of mathematics and physics I have to say that this movie is by far reaching for and blasts through the boundries of possibility. Yet, as far as science goes - it's mostly made up by educated guesses and observations that support them. Hints about this fact is delivered at several stages in the movie... And keeping that in mind I think it all fits together as one (far fetched as it may be) possibility.
Bottom line... with an open mind and expectancies of a thrilling ride you're in for a real treat. So if you're a science fiction fan - get out of the couch, make some popcorn and settle in for a ride to the center of the earth and back.
Hellborn (2003)
Not all it could be, but great entertainment.
This isn't the best movie ever made - or anywhere near that. As horror films go - they're not for everyone and this one is for fans of the genre.
First off the setting in this movie is excellent and the actors did a good job on it. However there doesn't seem to have been much of a budget involved in the special effects section. If you're a fan and don't expect any revolutionary stuff - this movie sets the atmosphere for an entertaining evening on the couch.
Trojan Warrior (2002)
Boring and pointless
After watching about half of this movie I noticed something peculiar ... I found myself constantly switching through tv-channels to see what else is on - not exactly a good movie trait.
This movie is listed as being in a number of genres, and I must say it mostly failed misserably in every one of them. 80% through the movie I switched over to watch an old rerun instead. Bottom line - the whole movie felt as if the ones making it didn't exactly know what to make and ended up in a concoction with no discernable taste.
