Shed (2019)
Love finding gems like this
Low budget - absolutely. But gaze past that and you have a unique, well told story. The music is perfection. Many simple yet apt social commentaries. These film makers should be commended.
Promising Young Woman (2020)
Perfection
Everything about this movie rang true. Mulligan was totally enthralling to watch. And, despite how it ends (no spoiler here) I loved the feeling it left me with. Satisfied in a what is a most unfair and unsatisfying world. A wide-eyed unflinching look at why #metoo is more than just a hashtag or meme.
Night Night (2021)
A real discussion piece, even if you're not stoned
This was odd, colourful and relatively entertaining. What more could you ask for in the genre. Most "horrors" these days aren't real horrors, they're just great watches.
Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)
Light and Good Hearted
I personally loved it. I don't know why anyone would expect lightning to strike twice. The first Bill an Ted will always be something else. But I really appreciated the humour which was actually very witty and yet not offensive as well as the music/musicology. Great job.
