This is kind of a soap opera, but it really gets the music right. The changes in the music scene where Taylor Swift and her ilk are taking over, but what about real country? The ingenue is a perfect b*** but she has mitigating circumstances and is a fan of some old country, for instance the guitar player for the established star's band. Then there is the niece who is a waitress at The Bluebird Cafe who gets up to sing a little something. Wow ! T Bone Burnett did the music and it is pretty good, especially the little ditty from The Bluebird Cafe. T Bone did the music for O, Brother, Where Art Thou? You might have heard of it. This show is a lot like the movie Country Strong. If you liked that, you'll like this. It might be a little bit like Dallas or Dynasty, too.

Okay, in all fairness, I was about to award the full 10 points, but that wouldn't be fair to the other great shows out there, so I settled for 8,5. In the comedy genre, it's certainly worth a 9 though. I don't remember exactly why I started watching this show, but I am so glad I did! Jane Levy is extremely funny and Cheryl Hines... can't go wrong there. I wondered how on earth Suburgatory would continue to entertain me after the first - rather stereotypical- episode, because I was sure the characters would be too flat for further interesting stories. Let me assure you, they are not. I don't know how the writers manage it, but it's still quirky (not in a 'new girl' kinda way) en original. I like this show a lot. I just hope they don't drag it out, because I do believe the concept is limited. Overdoing it would ruin the show, honestly. One tip: if you did not like episode 1, seriously try episode 2 because it is very funny. Penguins and all.

This show is they Greys Anatomy of the police force! Like in GA, newbies in their profession, the characters struggle to gain experience while dealing with personal drama, be it falling for co-workers, dealing with annoying family situations, or their internal struggles. Unlike other cop shows, and LIKE Greys' Anatomy, the storyline focuses on the characters' lives and being a cop is just one part of a big puzzle. I think the writers are doing a great job developing the characters, and making the storyline believable, and how each episode isn't about just one story line. The characters' development is pretty well balanced throughout the season. The cast I also think is excellent. Great chemistry on and off screen among the actors! While I wish it was a regular season show, I also think that being a summer series is a big plus, because the show doesn't get lost in the long list of senior prime-time shows that it would have to compete with, even though I do think it can hold its own even if it was a regular season show. If season 3 is as good as the first two, I do believe this show has the potential to be a long-running series.

When I saw this show advertised on TV I immediately set a series record, knowing that it would be worth watching. When my 6-year-old Sat down and put the pilot on we watched it together. She loved it and so did I because It was so full of heart! You have Ben and his best friend/roommate, Tucker. Then, there is Ben's big bother Danny and their childhood neighbour Riley. She used to have the unfortunate nickname "fat-pants" but has since lost all the weight and is now in law school. Also, she is quietly in love with Ben, and Danny calls her out on It. But, the sad thing is Danny secretly has a thing for her so that poses a future problem. When Ben's ex leaves their 3 month old baby girl, Emma, on his doorstep with a folder that says she is giving the baby up for adoption and needs him to sign off, he has to make a difficult hard life decision. Will he or won't he keep the baby? Um, of course he will keep the baby! This show Is sweet and I can't wait to see what happens.

Deception, withholding details, kidnapping (twice), and all those games high school students play against each other, over two generations. And then there is MURDER. TLG has some Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys aspects as viewers wait for the big Luke-I-am-your-father reveal as twins separated on day two of life reconnect with each other. And of course you cannot have a show about 17 year old twins with both twins going after the same guy. I have not been this interested in the twist and turns of a show since 24. I like the story lines most about the adults. Ted Mercer had to take his family away from Los Angeles back to Scotsdale, AZ but the reason has not yet been reveled. And everything else revolves around Ted's secret know only by his best friend Alec and the high school girl they tormented, Rebecca. Enjoy the ride. And remember, Texas forever (show is filmed in Austin)

This show makes me smile, but I am sick of the Zoey/George stuff. It was okay for the first season, but it is now redundant and makes Zoey less likable. I wish that some of the relationships on this show would just stick for awhile and let other plot angles drive the show. Everyone jumping from one love to another get tiring. This is why I don't watch day time soap operas, because you can't care about any of the couples because you know that in a month their affections will be elsewhere. Why can't this show be driven by the relationships and what goes on after the initial hookup, instead of everyone constantly getting together and breaking up, relying on the romantic "what if" tension to drive the show.

Love, love, love this show. It has everything that a good show needs. Sexy characters, romance, danger, and supernatural twists and turns that are gut-wrenching, beautiful, sad, and mind blowing all at once. I've read every book by . Smith including the Vampire Diaries and loved them all as well. I like it when a book and show/movie have a completely different outlook and direction. It is fun to see how different people change the arc of a central idea and what kind of ending there turns out to be. I also cannot stand it when people are Team Delana (Meaning Damon or Elena) or Team Stephana (or whatever Stephan and Elena are called), and grip, bitch, and moan anytime Elena shows her feelings for the opposite brother. Helloooo people, the love triangle is at the absolute centre of the entire show, so get over it. I love the tension that it creates between all of the characters and how one girl's choice effects everyone around her. Julie Plec Kevin Williamson and all of the other genius, brilliant writers who work on this show, keep doing what your doing. Your ability to constantly send me on an emotional roller-coaster ride with every new episode and keep all of the twists and turns fresh and mind blowing make this show what it

I don't write these reviews often, actually this would be my first here, but after seeing the show and then seeing the rating I had to react. First of all I'm not sure how this show got green-lighted at all, it's a genuine example how things in TV today are totally "bonkers". Seems there is no story left, that US shows won't apply a "contemporary twist" perverting the original in a unwatchable mess). This show is basically a sacrilege to the Arthur Conan Doyle's timeless story, everything is wrong including setting, tone, atmosphere, time and also last but not the least casting. Horrible, horrible casting choices made for both characters, probably to "appease" a wider viewer base. I see a lot of 10s in the reviews below, well it makes you think, it's no wonder that poor excuse for literature Twilight is popular, since it seems anyone can write a script or a book these days and get acclaim from public. A lot of excellent shows probably got canned to allow this uninspired nightmare to stay on air. I gave it 4.5 instead of 1 since production quality is good, other than that bad beyond words.

Degrassi: The Next Generation is a really good show that I highly recommend watching. I'm only 13, and it came out when I was only about five or six back in 2001, so obviously I haven't watched it very long, but for the months and months that I have watched the show, I can tell it's probably one of the greatest teenage shows out there - it deals with teens and all problems they may face during their tough high school years, in a realistic way. Pretty much all of the characters, I believe, are from Canada. Canada has some talent, and the creators of Degrassi found the perfect people to play their characters. At least some of the old characters. However, I'm not a fan of some of the new characters, like, Mia, Alli, and Claire. Mia to me just seems to force things, like she did Peter. Peter (Jamie Johnston) had originally been in a relationship with a beautiful girl named Darcy (Shenae Grimes) until she moved to Kenya to help build a school for poor children, or something. Right there, that's another thing I get annoyed at. The lame excuses for the characters leaving the show. Shenae Grimes actually left the show because some Beverly show stole her. I was a big fan of her's. Anyhow, Mia gets upset just because Peter still misses her. Alli and Claire are some of the younger ones and they are really annoying. Alli is a wanna-be Miss Popularity...and Claire is this stupid private-school-girl that goes to a public school in Degrassi. All she cares about is schoolwork. Nobody likes someone like that. The characters I have really liked over the years have been Manny Santos, Spinner Mason, Ellie Nash, Craig Manning. I've also liked Sav and Anya - out of some of the newer characters. Manny (Cassie Steele) is a great singer and actress, and always looks to have fun. She has a great smile and she is very attractive. Spinner is great because, if you look at him, he looks pretty tough, but really - he's just trying to do the right thing, and he's pretty funny. Ellie and Craig fit together - I saw that after watching "Degrassi Goes Hollywood" earlier this summer. It's a shame they aren't together. Well you've heard my two cents. Degrassi's a great show, highly recommend watching it.

I have quickly gotten bored with this show. I was FAITHFUL in tuning in every single week and had my box of tissues right next to me. I have just never been able to stomach Merideth, watching her storyline alone became exhausting and repetitive. After the season with the hospital shooting, it just fell off after that. Then after Merideth and Derrick adopted a black baby, I had enough. I am tired of shows depicting what other celebrities are doing or trying to keep ratings by going with a trend. It ruined it for me that my beloved George and Izzy are gone, which I still think was the producers biggest mistake letting them go. Hopefully I will regain interest soon, I am hearing good things.

I love this show. It's about real people and about their real / normal problems we can relate to. There's currently nothing like it on television (Brothers & Sisters got cancelled in 2011 but the show had a terrible last season) so Parenthood came in just at the right time. It was about time somebody did a genius little show about a big family that's about relationships and about situations we know from our lives. So kudos to the writers who create these story lines week after week and make us feel special while watching it on TV. I hope it sticks around for a few more years.
I don't mean to sound fruity, but I gotta say there's something about this show that draws me into their world so well. Each character is unique and flawed by design which gives so many topics to write about. This is not like any other show to me. It's very inspiring and hopeful and sad at the same time. Very relevant material and ill be sad when it's cancelled.

Alli's parents find out about her rebelliousness over the years (multiple boyfriends, scandalous photos) and K.C.'s mom tries to convince Jenna that she doesn't live in a fairytale world.
All in all, I though it was a good episode. Melinda Shankhar gave a good performance and you can tell that she has gotten better in the last three seasons. This is proof that the tenth season has really redeemed Degrassi seeing as season 8 and 9 were awful. We've had enough character development with the new generation that we can actually care about these characters. She finally realized how much her actions were hurting her, and dealt with it. Before she just kinda made mistake after mistake and shook it off. This was the time where she decided to change how she lives her life. She really thought that boys were able to control her emotionally. One thing though...Aislinn Paul's crying scene ... *cringe*
Jenna's storyline was admittedly less...interesting. The thing is, Jenna still has not redeemed herself from last season so it's hard to have any sympathy for her. She's a backstabber, none of her decisions so far revolve around her unborn child, not to mention that Jessica Tyler is not the best actress on the show in the least. She has improved though...
So a generally good two-parter that did not disappoint!
