For a Liverpool fan its good watch

Will is a story all about a 11 year old kid named Will(Perry Eggleton)and his struggle to reach Istanbul to watch his favourite team Liverpool play against AC Milan in the Champions league final.

Perry Eggleton has done a decent job as Will, Damien Lewis as Will's father has very small role but does a good job and Kristian Kiehling as Alek who helps Will in his journey has also done good job. Kenny Dalglish did a great job and showed in his brief cameo that he can act but Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher in their cameos showed that they don't have an alternate career in acting. Overall acting was decent but not overly impressed by anyone.

I would have to say biggest flaw about this movie is its script which is very weak and certain dialogues were good but actors did terrible job in executing them right. Cinematography was great and great soundtracks too and when "You'll never walk alone" was played it gave me goosebumps. Certain scenes were very emotional and surprisingly good.

Its a great movie to watch if you are a Liverpool fan but average for the neutrals and non football fans. I would suggest anyone to watch it but don't keep your expectations too high otherwise you will be disappointed. For people with normal expectations, its a good movie and you will enjoy it and you can watch it with your family too. I am giving it one extra star because i am Liverpool fan too.

Immortals (2011)

Good visual effects but script fails badly

Immortals is action fantasy movie based on Greek mythology.

Its about an evil King Hyperion played by Mickey Rourke searching for a powerful weapon, Epirus bow, which has the power to release the Titans,who have been prisoned in Mount Tartarus by the gods, and then to declare war against gods. To find the bow Hyperion must search for an Oracle named Phaedra played by Freida Pinto who can see things with her visions. Henry Cavill plays a commoner named Theseus who has been chosen by Zeus (Luke Evans) to stop the King Hyperion.

Tarsem Singh has done a decent job in directing the film but script is weak and fails the movie. Special effects are great and Gods are depicted in a different sort of way than has been done in other movies based on Greek mythology but it works great. Background music suits the scenes. Mickey Rourke as evil King did well, Cavill as Theseus also looked good but Freida Pinto as Phaedra looked great but her acting was poor, she needs to work on it, she looked the odd one out.

Immortals has its moments and failings too, best thing about this movie is the fight between the gods and the titans, its a visual treat to watch it and it only fails because of its script.

I would recommend anyone to watch it, just for its great special effects and brilliant fight sequences, but its only a one time watch.

The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption (2012 Video)

Pathetic!!!!

Scorpion King 3 has to be one of the worst movies of the year and maybe even of all time. I am only writing this review to warn people not to watch this piece of trash. If Scorpion King 2 was bad, then this film is million times worse. Their was nothing positive about this film, poorly written script, its like some kid has written it, and acting was also just horrible. This film is 104 minutes of sheer mental torture. Questions you will ask yourself after watching this film:

Why did i wasted my money and time on this?

How can anyone act so bad?

How can anyone make such a bad film?

Can i get a refund at least for bearing this torture?

Get lucky and don't watch it.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011)

Its like a game of Chess

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is slow paced drama and you need to be mentally into it while watching otherwise you will miss out on what is going on. This is not a kind of movie which will thrill you, or even entertain you its more like a game of chess which can be interesting for some and boring for rest. I don't think Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy utilized the talents of the great cast it assembled to its full potential. This movie didn't had any moments which takes your breath away. There were lot of complexities but at the end it disappoints you and climax was disappointing too. Pace of this movie doesn't change from start to finish and that was something that disappointed me the most.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is a movie that critics like to enjoy but not the mainstream audience and i belong to that category.

I won't say it is a bad movie but its not something to get entertained and IMO movies are supposed to be entertaining.

Real Steel (2011)

Not for Adults

It started off nicely but after after some time plot becomes very predictable and boring. Don't keep your hopes high if you were expecting it to be anything like transformers. Acting was average and that kid was very irritating in the movie and that dance with Robot was appalling. Father-son relationship doesn't touch your heart and merely bores you. Plot was similar to the Rocky but fails miserably and soundtracks were not great either.

One of the worst Hugh Jackman movie and one of the worst of the year.

I am giving it only 3 stars that too only for the robot fights. Can't believe its being rated so high by IMDb,its definitely a KIDS movie and unless you are a kid don't watch it,its a complete waste of money. I would say give it a miss and if i had known earlier i wouldn't have wasted my time on it IMDb ratings tricked me.
