2nd Only to CAGED

All the performances were excellent in this movie, except maybe the head prison matron played by film veteran Jane Darwell. This film was exciting from the first moment with a very early rock 'n roll song TOM'S BEAT to the last scene. Prison scams, girl fights, threats of violence at every corner, a prison break, lesbianism, all adds up to an entertaining film. Stand-out performance by Adele Jergens as a gun moll.

The First 30 Minutes
10 July 2017
I think they should have thrown out the first 30 minutes of this film. What a waste of color film. After that, the film was very good. Exeter was good. Faith D., the leading lady was great. The monster was well done. I like the photography. It was imaginative for the 1950's. What did the rest of you think of the first 30 minutes?

Performances

I thought Heather Ames had a stand-out performance as Meg. Although Yvonne Lime was very cute in the movie, the director seemed to have her overplay her role as a sweet innocent girl. I also thought Rhoda Williams as the teacher was a solid performance. I loved the movie. I think American International Pictures have been given a bad rap because they catered to teens.
