Tenet (2020)

This movie gave me a headache

It's been a while since I've seen this movie but i decided to add this review because apparently they are re-releasing it and i didn't want anyone else to suffer through this abomination.

First and foremost, nolan has added this weird static noise in the background of the whole movie that gives you a literal headache. All 4 of us who went for this terrible terrible movie came out with a splitting headache. Apparently he got criticism for it as well but decided to stick by this stupid decision and released it anyways.

The story is entirely too convoluted and it's hard to make sense of it sometimes. Don't waste your time with this one!

The Creator (2023)

This is a 10 on 10

I'm amazed at seeing an average score of 7 when this should clearly be atleast 9. This movie has everything - a fast paced plot, an interesting premise, amazing acting, a complex plot and incredible effects. I wonder if portraying Americans as the bad guys had something to do with the rating 😄.

I would love to watch it again after a few months once it comes out of streaming apps. It's been a while since I've seen a good sci-fi movie. I would even rate it better than Dune, the movie.

I wish they had an IMAX version of it given how well made the special effects are. Would highly recommend watching it!

65 (2023)

A terrible waste of time

There are just so many things wrong with this movie. I'll attempt to list them all:

1. The premise that of all the places a spaceship could crash, it crashed on a planet with breathable air that was about to be pulverized by a meteor

2. Aliens look exactly like us and have the same issues

3. The child actor seems to understand English sometimes and sometimes doesn't.

4. The storyline is basically the same as Jurassic park and all the dinosaurs are out to kill them. Also no other animals apart from dinosaurs seem to exist.

5. Nothing is ever explained properly including why they're going on the mission. There's no backstory and whatever story they mention doesn't further the narrative. It's just all random.

Don't waste your time. Don't get closer than 65 feet from a theatre playing this movie.

That '90s Show (2023– )

Terrible show

The new actors are just so bad. The acting is over the top and so fake. The storyline is lame. For someone who grew up watching that 70s show, this is torture. Whoever did the casting for this show really needs to find something else to do.

What in the world were they even trying to do with this show because it's just so terrible. Red and kitty made me nostalgic but the rest of it is just so lame. If you liked the old show and are expecting something similar, you're going to be sorely disappointed. It would just be better to watch reruns of the old show than watch this. I may seem repetitive but this show just is so bad.

Elves (2021)

One of the worst series ever

The storyline barely makes sense, the acting is terrible and the cgi looks like it's from 20 years ago. What a waste of time. This director should stop directing! It's a colossal waste of time. I won't be surprised if the show ends up with a before 4 rating on IMDb soon.

Midnight Mass (2021)

The slowest horror series ever made!

I cannot understand the ratings here. This was by far one of the worst horror series i've ever seen. Every character goes into a 10 minute monologue or a 20 minute conversation at the drop of a hat. The story advances so slowly at times, its hard to stay awake. This is truly truly a disaster like no other. I'm not sure i was ever actually startled or scared because most of the times, i was trying to keep my eyes open. I'm not sure the director even understands the genre.

The Profit (2013–2021)

One of the best shows for entrepreneurs to watch

I've been working for startups for the last 6 years and I was blown away by this show. Despite some of the criticism you might have read online, what Marcus says is simple and extremely effective. If people stick to the principles he says out i.e. People, Process and Product it's hard to see why a business would still fail. Marcus deals with many different problems on the show and tackles them with the same formula which is amazing in itself. The more you watch it, the more you understand the nuances of how his fundamentals work and the clarity this guy has.

I recommend this show to not just budding entrepreneurs but also anyone who is interested in just a great show.
