Under the Silver Lake (2018)

Very solid work by director, actors and entire team behind this movie. Great suspense, kind of Hitchcock, really cool story. I had a feelings there were many of quotations of other films, which was kind of cool for a film bum like myself... Won't say anymore, watch it if you are cinema lover - you will really enjoy it!

Apparently review is too short, so to fill the 'blanks' I will add that this director made few more films - also very good, so you can put his name on the bucket list for movies:) Still not enough contain to submit a review:), well, it's a shame that film got only 6.5 stars, some terrible hollywood blockbusters got 7 and 8, and this fil deserves at least 7.5, hence I gave it 8, to level up.

It's witty, funny, twisted story, very well played, best Polish actors at that time! Beautifully directed, picturesque camera work, great acting, and really 'not your typical hollywood movie':). For movie buffs - a must see, like Apocalypse Now, several times, and each time you explore more and more.....a real treat!

I see 7 and 8 stars reviews..... well, out of big respect to Dave, I will be very quick:) - please read the title, and if you insist on watching it - remember I warned you, it will be very painful to see cool musicians trying to act and it in best moments its hilarious, and there is not many of them.

It was really painful to watch it till the end, and the only one good joke was actually about snare placement:), but very true.... not enough for 90 min film though...

House of Gucci (2021)

It is a mixture of class A actors with a lady gaga, really painful to watch after more then 10 min. Her truly amateurish 'performance' is something which drags this entire film down to class B video market film. You can get confused though, because in general it's pro job and some pro actors. I was thinking what reasons could be to put Gaga into the movie as actually main protagonist ?? I mean, she it talentless, has a charm of Gimli from LOTR, as well as a figure, actually, the difference is probably only the beard. When she 'acts' or speak with that squeaky terrible voice, you could think, why on earth Ridley Scott or whoever put her on that film ???? Irons was class, Pacino - ok, Leto - interesting, Driver - boring, and lady Gaga - actually weirdly entertaining with complete caricature of what cinema or acting really is.

Boring....boring....boring....good actors though, but boring. It just is not good directing, the story is original life of one of Polish gangsters, it could be really entertaining and interesting, it is not.

The directing is to notch, remains me of the classical cinematic masterpieces, camera work, light, acting, fantastic. Actors performance is as well delivered perfectly. The only thing I (personally of course) found agitating is the pace and/or lack of the story, but as it's based on the book, so I presume director followed the steps of the writer. Anyway great watch, would recommend it to cinema a lovers!

This is the worst Bond I ever seen, and I saw them all. It's a below-average action movie. If it wasn't the name - nobody would even noticed that in the ocean of average action films. So disappointing story, no character developments, cliche after cliche, it was hard to wait till the end, I think I left cinema 5 or 10 min before because I just couldn't take no more..... wasn't alone... if you watched the snippet - you have seen all best actions in the film already.

Remember I warned you, if you insist and go to see it!

The pace, the photo shoots, vibe of the film - amazing!

I didn't expect to watch such a good film. It has it's own very Brazilian vibe. Very violent, dark, complex, and with really good camera work. I will check other work of the director. Would say it's South American version of 'The Heat'. Kept me on the chair for the entire film.

Watch it! It's a good cinema, good acting and very good story.

I wonder how the main actor can get into film business??? He ain't handsome, not talented, small, and always playing same kinda boring not entertaining character... There are few pro actors in this production, but the movie is slow, boring really, camera work/edits like in the video market film....

Nanijani was absolutely amazing!, this guy with his nerd-like personality, and great lines, will make you laugh... I enjoyed it, unexpected it will be such a cool film! Bautista also did a good job, and both lads together (although it's nothing new, relation between 2 extremely different characters) made a great couple. Watch it, you will enjoy it, if you like weird humour and good dialogues

Women of Mafia 2 (2019)

This was a painfull experience watching those non actors, 'acting'... wooden acting, without a screenplay, terrible 'one liners' dialogues, a lot of swearing and gore, bad, bad bad, even funny sometimes, so bad:) old unattractive and ugly 50 something girls, with handsome lads, kinda more like England or Germany, not Poland, where usually in life it's opposite... The casting was also terrible, for example 'pantadeusz', the only pro actor in the team, who plays a mafia boss, and looks like sweet priest from small town:), he tries to be tough, but one look at his face and you see that sweet boy, it's good actor, but he simply cannot play bad character, it's kind of like imaging Woody Allen playing vicious mafia boss...the only good thing about it is camera work, nice pictures and good edits, the rest is low level vhs market; avoid, I warned you!

So yeah, it's new IMDB 7 stars for this 'production' seems like it was made in late 60's, considering a quality and editing, the story is hilarious, this is film for some hardcore Ugandans, other folks won;t be able to watch it:)

I actually had very high expectations, another film with real life story written, should be exciting. It really wasn't, acting was fine, although sometimes I thought Malik was overdoing things and it wasn't convincing....the other actors were poor... I didn't learn anything interesting about the band, not much about Freddie. It was 2 h flick and I really wanted it to end 30 min earlier, very disappointed all together. Had a chance to see Malek's other films and actor performance - he was great. Somehow I feel he was really annoying playing Freddie, and really unconvincing.

Cool to see my man Ghetts in the flick, but I couldn;t watch it more then 15 min, it is bad, it is not a film, not by definition of film I know anyway. There is a great opening track though, Trojan sound system, got nothing to do with film, but yeah, the only good thing I can say is the dancehall tune played at the party

Please be warn, save yourself 90 min, have a nap or walk, don't waste your time on this. Shame, actors cannot save that B movie flick. It is made in Mexico, terribly directed, no screenplay, poor story...I mean, besides Keanu there is nothing there, just empty void....please who gives me back 90 min of my life wasted????:(

This poor video production does not qualifies as a film, it lacks everything, acting is terrible, story is naive and poorly executed, camera work, editing, it's all like a handmade video off uncle Joe wedding party:). Save yourself time, and avoid it. 6 stars this??? and if you watch - be warn it is really bad video recording without acting.
