The Boat (2018)
There has to be a reason why this film cost $5M to make and grossed less than USD 100K
There has to be a reason why this film cost $5M to make and grossed less than USD 100K and actually, thats a lot...
I actually can't think of what USD 5M would have been spent on. Hiring a boat for a couple of weeks, $10,000, one actor, whats he get paid for that, although the producer gave it to his son (Keanu was busy apparently) then there was 20 to 30 cans of food which i noticed in the film, they would have had to go to the supermarket to get them, hotels for the camera and sound guy, oh, and the expensive bit, to hire someone to walk up and down the deck upstairs, although that could have been the sound guy.
Is asking me below, does this contain spoilers...Well, actually what ever I say here cannot spoil it more.
Stalked (2019)
loose-stooled efluent
I actually wanted to turn this off in the 10th minute as soon as the "lead" character starts to tell her less than 1 year old baby, that she wont be long, just popping down the shops and leaving her alone for a short while - kind of thing.
Viewing this was ultra painful. How the hell it made it to the screen is beyond me. One good thing about it, The baby, was excellent! by far the best actor from the entire cast and may even be nominated for an Oscar for Best Cooing Award at the next Film Awards.
Altitude (2017)
I am just AMAZED this did not win an Oscar ...
There has been great acting moments in film. Sean Penn's realisation that its his daughter found dead in Mystic River. Leonardo's portrayal of Kelvin Candie in Django, Dustin in Rainman, Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs, De Niro in Raging Bull, Nicholson in One flew over the Cuckoos nest.... But they could all learn something from the amazing acting of in this movie.
