Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015)
Thomas is an Idiot!?
The main character (Thomas) wastes so much time - in ALL three movies - looking behind in extremely critical situations that it isn't believable that he would survive any/ALL of them.
I actually enjoyed the entire movie series, but I am always stunned at the stupidity the main characters show in apocalyptic scenarios where their lives are on the line, yet they perform highly questionable acts which would easily cause their demise.
Thomas continuously displays a constant example of a character that would easily die in the first scene of ANY movie. Yet, he manages to defy all odds and become the hero. Ridiculous!

Do NOT Pay Attention to These Numerous Poor Reviews!
Over the years, people have been watching movies and rating them based on a "pole vaulting" type basis. Every movie that comes out MUST raise the bar; that is, be bigger and better with regard to Fx, the actors, directors, and producers involved. Ninety percent of these people can't just sit back and enjoy the movie and and all that goes with it for what they are.
This is a GREAT movie! A lot of action scenes, great CGI, humorous at just the right points, and is a feel-good film.
I grew up reading ALL of the great super hero comic books, and though no, most of them don't stay true to their original form for same, in their own right, most of them are extremely entertaining.
My advice...do NOT base User Reviews as a guide for whether or not you should watch a movie or not. Instead, if you like a movie's (script) writer(s), actors, producers, etc., just give it a go. If you've enjoyed movies from any combination of the above, there's a good chance you'll enjoy it.

"We gotta go!"
Actually, other than a couple of stupid choices made by its characters - though a flaw by nearly ALL apocalyptic, dystopian, and zombie movies - I love this movie series; I've seen all three back-to-back at least three times. The only thing that grates on my nerves is hearing "We gotta go!" 100+ times throughout all three movies. There has GOT to be another way of implying this same thing without this redundant phrase. Without even thinking hard on the matter, I can come up with at least ten ways to say this. And I can't believe several people didn't bring up this fact during the filming of these three movies. It just slaps me in the face.
Again, I love the series...but redundant text really irritates me.

Data Goof
I didn't see this listed as a goof for this episode, and correct me if I'm wrong, but at 43:18, Data uses a English Contraction..."She's correct, sir!" I've watched every episode and movie with TNG cast and can't recall a single time Data has done this. His brother Lore, on the other hand, DID use Contractions. I don't know how I missed this, having seen this episode several times over the years.

I Find It Hard to Believe!...
...that so many people would behave so foolishly in an apocalypse. Would all of these people make such foolish decisions in their situations?!? Did they learn nothing from watching the numerous zombie movies? There are very specific rules...i.e. Zombieland. :-) You NEVER leave a door open after entering it - unlocked, yes, but not open! - and you NEVER trust an unknown person that you come upon.
Yes, I kind of enjoyed this series, but there are so MANY idiotic decisions made, that I just had to laugh and say that most of these people deserved to die.

Sorry if You Don't Get It...It's a Generational Movie
I loved it! But unless you're between the ages of 53-60 (or so) and had grown up watching the original series as an 8-15-year-old, you're just not going to get it and understand the hilarity of it all.
Yes, there ARE several crude moments - what do you expect when watching a WF movie?! - but as usual (WHEN watching his movies), I laughed heartily throughout.
Sadly, due to the very slim timeline for which the original series was popular with kids - and even then, I doubt it was hugely so - this movie never stood a chance regardless of WHO starred in/wrote it. Luckily, however, I grew up within that generation and loved the movie.
It wasn't a mistake, Will...it was awesome!
Lost in Space (2018)
Not As Bad As Most People Say
It amazes me at how much people have become ridiculously critical over movies/series. I suppose that's because when a masterpiece comes along - and many have done so - the measuring stick gets raised higher-and-higher. That's sad, because there is a lot of good content out there...not 10s, mind you, but enjoyable just the same.
This has very few similarities with the original, so don't expect that. Still, it's fairly enjoyable as SciFi series go.
(minor spoiler...42 second's worth)
The one point, though, that seems to be confusing many people here is about Dr. Smith. No, they did NOT place a woman Dr. Smith in the series; she's just using his name. The REAL Dr. Smith is/was a man - a cameo by Bill Mumy (who originally portrayed Will Robinson) - in whose identity (and coat) was stolen BY said woman.

Most Reviewers Are Idiots...Don't Trust Them!
Never, I repeat, NEVER trust IMDB ratings OR reviews made by either professional critics or the average person, as well.
Sadly, we have grown into a world of I want bigger-better-more-realistic-but-an-unrealistic/impossible-Fx/CGI-epic movie that leaves most movies lacking at the box office. Based on this premise, 90% of all action/adventure/fantasy/sci-fi movies are going to fall incredibly short.
Okay...so I can't possibly deal with the short-sightedness of the idiots that claim that BE should have a 1-star rating. My recommendation is simply to look for films that have your fave actors in it. And if they've put our some pretty nice movies, trust that all future ones will be, at minimum, fairly enjoyable. As was this one...
Hell, Travolta's sarcastic alien laugh, alone, is worth the watch. And his right-hand man Ker - Forest Whitaker - was played quite well.
Was this an awesome film like Terminator (2), Gladiator, X-Men, etc.? No! But seriously, people...stop being so overly-critical and just enjoy the movie and what went into it. And seriously?!?...razzing on L. Ron Hubbard?!? Get real! I'd like to see you put out ANYTHING at a minimum at a 0.5-star rating for a film or book that even 1-5 of your closest friends could appreciate and then try critiquing a film like this.
Okay, so what I'm saying...as critics, 99.9% of you suck at this, so NEVER quit your day job. And you professionals should never have started...your career is nearly over. :-)

Awesome Movie!
The top user reviews I read were positive. Seeing such a low rating and especially that by supposed professional critics - as usual - affirms my low confidence in trusting said professionals.
This is a highly entertaining movie in every way. And an avid movie/TV series buff dating back to the 60's, I find very little to criticize about this flick. Thereto, I would be hard put to even compare it to any other movie I've seen. The script is well-written and the acting is both genuine and at a high level.
Watch it and judge for yourself. And for future's sake, NEVER trust professional critics OR even other viewers.
