Not my kind of movie
9 July 2021
It is not my type. I did not enjoy it. However I appreciated how they shot it during twelve years of period.

Well! That escalated quickly! Acting Sucks as well as Directing!
31 December 2018
Well, I am very happy that Netflix introduced this turkish series into the world's eyes now people with knowledge will know that actors and most of the directors in Turkey are there because of their influential contacts. I mean who is Hazar Erguclu (Zeynep), reading the script aloud without any emotions? Because she knows someone, that someone fixed that role for her. She is not an actress she does not possess the quality. I do not understand why Netflix did not revise the actors, I mean acting and directing suck truly except for Okan Yalabik (Faysal Erdem). About Cagatay, acting is not screaming, it is not. Really somethings have to change.

All three films are lacking Quality almost in every sense
4 August 2018
I think like everybody I watched the triology hoping to get the same affection as Lord of the Rings but did I get it: NO Because: the biggest problem is that it does not create the feeling that you are in the movie. I watched it as a cartoon. Another problem is that Gandalf does not have the control, even Aragorn in Lord of the Rings could not get before the role of Gandalf Scenes were created for the sake of the filling any gap, forexample in one scene suddenly an elf on the horse appears before Legolas summoning him to their country. Well at least they have showed him coming on the road in the far away camera before appearing. Another problem was composing, the music stole away the seriousness of the movie turning it into combination of the scenes where the outcomes were predictable. In the end, after watching the triology I had to check the director to see if he was the same Peter of Lord of the Rings.

Warning: Spoilers
In countries where etnic diversity is present more powerful one is always good guy, center of attraction and the hero in the movies. Other one(s) is the bad guy. I know of this from Turkey because for years they used the suppressed nation as the symbol of evil, ignorance and anti civilization. In this movie, I am not talking about whole Iranian cinema because I could not know, as I realized that character Babak(who was having affair) and the older guy with heart problems (who caused main character to be wounded on the head) are Azerbaijani Turks. Taking out a group of one ethnicity and turning them into negative symbol of everything that I talked about is very dangerous. It should be eliminated as soon as possible. May be that was not the issue at all and that was a coincidence but I felt that way. I like these kind of movies which is about normal life events not surreal and Utopias, lies etc..

As a foreigner in Turkey
4 January 2017
I am also far from my homeland and that is why when I started to watch the movie I remembered the hardships of a foreigner and I found closeness in the character of Sakip. However after they leave for Bulgaria, I do not think movie is developing towards good, it is not developing at all. Dialogues are not the job of professionals at all. Sometimes you feel that they put that scene to just fill in the blanks. Too much bad language, always drinking and anger in every situation puts audience in a bad mood as movie rolls. Swearing that much,I think, beats even "Snatch". Acting was good especially of Sakip (Saban), directing not so much, but I see that it was the first job of Ali Atay. Scenario is not great, it has a great beginning but not a good ending, dialogues are like the whole film crew were in a hurry. Anger and swearing killed that closeness that I talked about earlier. And I saw at the end of the movie it was dedicated to someone's father and wife, I would not send a present full of negativity (anger and swearing) to my loved ones. I would send a present where there was at least a little bit of love. Yeah love is the missing part in this move. I am not talking about that "love", I am talking about compassion. Anyway, aren't the most movies reflecting the spiritual (psychological) condition of the directors.

Very depressive, very depressive and unrealistic
18 November 2016
One cold blooded awful movie. So much unnecessary scenes and dialogues could have been written by an amateur starter. Director tries so hard to make the movie a special kind of art and ends up with his or her surreality. I am not so much fun of blood in the movie especially child killers. Movie misrepresents child behavior, child psychology and misdirects its audience. I do not know whether it is banned but it should have banned in all theaters. People who likes or approves this kind of very negative and depressive movie should make appointments with their shrinks. People who has not watched it yet, please do not watch it, movie literally mocks with mothers, children and teachers and praises depressive and psychopathic actions through justifying it with some very funny past events. There is no clue of compassion in the movie which is about 12-13 years of children.

Do not watch it!!!
18 August 2016
First I thought it is the acting that is lacking then I skip to the soundtrack from acting, but still awful. Then I came to the conclusion that it is the director and the script that is awful. Maybe there are people out there who would argue:"Hey man, this is his (directors) way, it is great in its way", but I am sorry. I've watched lots of movies and I know when the Movie is directed badly. When I watched this movie I felt like it was a first time try of a newly graduated director wanna be, or a porn director. I am still counting on the porn director. I mean in which country restaurant waitresses dress like Japanese schoolgirls. Guys if you do not wanna waste your two hours skip this movie. Art is lacking in this movie. But I have to say visual effects was not so bad. All in all it was one of the most awful movies I've ever watched and the most awful movie which had every available physical condition except the directing and the art. Do not watch it!!!
