When Calls the Heart: Starry Nights (2023)
Returned to its roots
WCTH is WCTH again. It was "tinkered" with the last two seasons and strayed from its roots. Glad to be able to watch my favorite show again. I haven't watched in two years. The new show runner apparently did her homework when she binge watched the previous seasons and it shows. Never in a million years did I think the show could redeem itself from the damage that John Tinker inflicted, yet here we are. I'm so happy. If you're a departed Heartie like I was, come back to the fold. This season has been the best season I can remember having seen in a very long time. Beautiful story set to rights. Well done.
When Calls the Heart: Don't Go! (2020)
This is the end of a good series.
This episode was probably one of the finest that WCTH has produced. It finalizes the beautiful love story between the Mountie and the school teacher. This is one I could watch over and over. I consider Season 7 to be the last season of WCTH. Season 8 is trash. For your own good, stop watching after this episode.
When Calls the Heart: The Kiss (2021)
If you love the original WCTH, please don't watch anymore.
This season was a complete travesty to the show I've loved for years. The show runner came in and did what the majority of fans asked him not to do, he ruined it. It went from a solid, beloved hour of entertainment to nothing more than a soap opera. I will never watch it again and I'm also done with Hallmark for allowing this BS. If you love Janette Oke's When Calls the Heart, do yourself a favor and skip Season 8. I'll be sticking with books from now on, they're written far better.
