Midsomer Murders: Blood on the Saddle (2010)
Worst episode ever of Midsomer Murders
This episode was without doubt the worst episode we have seen of the Midsomer Murders series. It stands out from all of the other episodes because we have rated most episodes as 7's and above - but we rated this episode a 2.
Overall the Midsomer Murders production team is very professional and produces episodes of a high standard so it is unbelievable that the Producers allowed this story to see the light of day and surely the cast should have said something during the shooting. We found the story was completely implausible and there were so many flaws in the development of the murder investigation it isn't worth singling out any.
Damages (2007)
Season 2 has lost the plot
We enjoyed Season 1 immensely - the performances by the cast especially Glenn Close were superb and the writing and production were of a high standard. There were unexpected twists - each episode moved at a frenetic pace and there was genuine suspense.
Season 2 was written and produced by the same people and follows on from Season 1 - however for some very strange reason the producers decided to introduce flash forward and flash back. Why? It certainly has not added to the story telling - and proved to be a major irritant and a complete distraction. So much potential down the drain because the producers decided to be too cute and follow an unfortunate trend that has surreptitiously crept into some productions.
We won't bother with subsequent Seasons - we don't appreciate the arrogance of treating your audience like a ping-pong ball.
