Hell Fest (2018)

Very good horror flick!
17 November 2018
Went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Acting, set design, and music was all great. Not very scary but entertaining. Could have used a couple more cool death scenes, but the ones present were pretty brutal. Overall, if you have an hour and a half to spare and want to be entertained, you'll be pleased. Highly recommend

Best Sequel In The Series!!!
30 August 2011
In the year 2000, the final destination series started with a great first installment. In 2009, the fourth installment in the series was released. While it did great at the box office, the film received terrible reviews from critics and fans across the nation.

In 2011, a fifth film was released. The film is what I would call and what others may believe to be the best sequel in the Final Destination series. It has everything that I could ask for from a final destination movie. It has the gruesome death scenes, suspense, stylish directing, a dark feel to it, great acting, etc. As the sequels were released they all started to lose that dark side. But this film brings the dark side back. The 3D was fantastic and was used perfectly. The ending is so amazing. I had chills the whole entire time.

If your a fan of the series, GO SEE THIS MOVIE. I swear you will not be disappointed.

Acting: B+

Story: A+

Death scenes: A+

Suspense: A+++

3D: A+

The Most Extrordinary Film Of The Year!
21 July 2011
Like many others, I'm a Harry Potter fan and i've loved every single movie released. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is the most unforgettable, remarkable, and magical movie I have ever seen in my life. In my opinion its the greatest Harry Potter film. There is not one single flaw about it. Picking up where Deathly Hallows Part 1 leaves off, the viewer is immediately immersed into an incredible adventure with laughs, action, and of course magic. I'ts hard to believe that there will be no new Harry Potter's after this. Iv'e grown up with it and it's a huge part of my life. The ending is a perfect heartfelt goodbye to this long running series. Expect to be blown away be this film. Goodbye Harry Potter. We will miss you!! 10/10

This really does come with guns, not flowers!
8 May 2011
I finally got myself a peek at the movie and it is by far my favorite movie i've seen this year. It went above and beyond my expectations. A ton of suspense, twists, and a pretty large body count. The acting was incredibly realistic. Rebbeca D. Morney plays the greatest mommy figure in any horror film i have ever seen. From beginning to end, the movie keeps you on the edge of your seat. The movie lets you use your imagination instead of using extreme amounts of blood. It leaves you depressed and sad but incredibly satisfied with what you witness on the screen. One of the best horror movies i've seen in a long time. This movie needs a theatrical release. Its so dang good.

10/10

An amazing end to and even more amazing series!
30 October 2010
What can i really say about saw? well for starters, its gruesome, psychological torture, with great twists. After seeing the seventh installment i have to say that I'm truly amazed. SAW VII was definitely one of my favorite installments in the long running horror franchise. The quality of the movie blew me out of my seat. The acting was pretty top notch, the traps were gruesome, and the ending was completely incredible. I got chills throughout my body when watching this movie. The traps actually really grossed me out in this one. I actually was squirming in my seat for the first time. And i have to say, the 3D in this was way better than i thought it would be. it was done well enough to were it wasn't cheesy. I loved this movie so much. I will miss the saw series. Its the best thing thats happened to horror!

OK Movie Experience!
29 August 2010
The Last Exorcism was not what i expected. I walked in expecting a movie that would scare the hell out of me from beginning to end. What i got was a movie that made me laugh so much the first 45min, and a movie that had me on the edge of my seat the last 40min or so. My problem with the movie was how long it took to get scary. Once the girl starts acting possessed, it is truly indeed terrifying though. Another problem I had was the ending. I think why i hated the ending is because we seen more funny things than scary things before it ended. If most of the movie was scary like the last half hour, I'm sure i would like the ending more.

All in all, the last exorcism is an OK movie. I wish that i waited for it to come on DVD though. The creators had a great opportunity to make something terrifying, but in the end it turned out like your average horror film. Had to many funny moments and not enough scary. Its kinda sad when u go to c a horror film, and laugh more than be frightened.

An Extraordinary, Perfect Film!
23 June 2010
I finally got a chance to see this film and I have to say, this is one of the greatest movies ever made! The two leads gave outstanding performances and showed amazing passion towards one another. I have never seen a movie that actually made me smile, tear up, and laugh all at the same time. I have also never seen a movie with a gay theme. More movies should be made like this. Its really hard to say how I feel about this movie in words. Its just so different than any other movie I've seen. It lets people know that being gay is not a bad thing. Its a great thing. I will definitely be viewing this film again. This is the kind of movie that I could watch again and again and still feel the same way towards it. I definitely recommend it! 10/10**********

Halloween II (2009)

Very different, but in a good way!
16 June 2010
This isn't like any other Halloween movie. Its completely different. I actually really enjoyed this movie. After not liking the remake to much, i was really worried about this one. I thought it would fail like the first did. Wow, was i wrong.

I love the color scheme in this movie. Its very dark and depressing. I think I liked this movie so much because it showed how the lives of the people from the first movie were affected by past events. Micheal is also very brutal in this movie. I think more so than the first. I also like the crazy hallucinations Laurie had. They were very creepy and very dark. Overall I give this movie a 7/10.

Halloween (2007)

Could of been amazing!
10 June 2010
I love the original film. It is a major classic thats still enjoyable today. When I first seen the trailer for the remake, I was so excited. It looked really good from the preview. But the final product did not turn out so well. This is actually a review of the directors cut of the film since i didn't see the theater version. So here we go: The movie starts out with a nice shot of Micheal Myers house. Then we see Micheal about to kill his rat, which was kinda creepy. But after this, the movie goes from good to bad in a matter of a few seconds. Micheal's family is now introduced. The family comes off to be the most white trash family on the face of the earth. The mom is a stripper, the mom's boyfriend is a lazy ass cripple, and the daughter comes off as a disrespectful teenage brat. This isn't a Halloween movie. The language used in this scene is also very disgusting.

You pretty much know what happens after this. Micheal kills his sister, his sisters boyfriend, and his moms abusive boyfriend. This was pretty much the highlight of the movie. This scene is very brutal and is very creepy and nasty. Exactly what horror should be like. I hated the characters introduced in the beginning except for the mom and Micheal. I could care less about the others.

After that, Micheal is put into a mental hospital and we see him deal with a lot of boring crap. Then it skips a good amount of years until Micheal is now a tall troll will long ratty hair. The next scene is what got to me the most. Micheal is in his room making masks when suddenly some security guards come in with a female patient and rape her right in front of Micheal. This scene was so unneeded and so out of place. It was disgusting garbage. I know the theater version didn't have this scene but i will always know that Rob Zombie thought this scene would of been good in the final cut. You know the whole story after that. It pretty much just is about Micheal killing people close to his sister Laurie. OH MY GOD...Shocker!

All in all, i really didn't like this film. If Rob Zombie hadnt of made the first half of the movie a backstory about Micheal, then i probably would of really liked this movie. Rob tried to make us feel sorry for Micheal and i don't like that. A few things were okay though. The music was really good and the acting was decent. The good things in this movie could not save it from being bad though.

Horrifying, Raw, Intense, and Disturbing!
10 June 2010
Let me start off by saying that I really am not a fan of the original. It was way to cheesy for me. When I first seen the previews for the remake, I knew that it would be good. I was 100% right.

This movie is good because it actually makes you have strong feelings about the characters. The overall tone of the movie is very depressing, but thats what makes this movie good. The rape scene is very hard to watch. Every time I watch this movie, I have to continue to turn away from this scene. But this scene is done very well. There's no nudity present in this scene. The emotional level of this scene is very strong though.

All in all, I think this is the best remake ever made. It was very intense and raw. The acting and directing was spectacular. No other movie has ever gotten to me as much as this. But thats what horror should do. It should make you get depressed and scared. Horror has been lacking this ability for quite some time now. I don't recommend this for young viewers though. Although I'm young myself, I still think it should only be scene by older viewers.

I give this movie an A+ on every level of horror there is.

Fun Freddy experience!
30 April 2010
People are saying that this is the worst Freddy movie ever. Some people are saying this is the worst horror movie ever made. My response to this is what f***ing movie did you guys see. This is far from the worst in the series and unbelievably far from being the worst horror film ever made. I really enjoyed it. The film had good death scenes, good direction, some good scares, good acting, a great look and feel to it, and last but not least…a fantastic new take on Freddy Krueger. Now that I've said the good about the film, let me address the bad:

-The jump scares were predictable for the most part. The original did have jump scares but they were done way better. The original would build up to the scares with suspense. This film however did not. For example: Nancy's looking at her cell phone. Then we hear a knock on her passenger window. BAM. FREDDY'S THERE with a loud noise in the background. That's not scary. It might get a reaction out of you, but you get over it.

-The EDITING. Wow. Whoever edited this needs to be fired immediately and should never be able to edit again. I've never seen a film with such horrible editing. For example: Kris runs into building. Before the door is shut we quickly see a shot of the interior of the building, then we see Kris standing still with the door closed behind her. I know it might sound stupid, but I wanted to actually SEE her close the door. The only good editing was the pharmacy scene and about the last 15 minutes.

All in all, I did enjoy the film very much.As a Freddy fan, i am extremely impressed. All the negative reviews are wrong. This is a very entertaining movie. Jackie did a great job at reinventing Freddy. He made it his own. Other than the predictable jump scares and horrible editing, I actually wasn't bored. This is about the 2nd or 3rd best Freddy movie in the series. I've seen it at least 3 times all the way through and enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time. This film definitely deserves a 9/10 for me. It wasn't perfect and it wasn't atrocious. I really hope there is a sequel. I really want to know if the makers learn from their mistakes.

Saw VI (2009)

The best one!!!
25 October 2009
The saw series has been my favorite series for a long time now. When I walked out of Saw V I remember being satisfied and disappointed at the same time. I didn't blame the director, I blamed the writers. When I walked out of Saw VI I was amazed. Just when you think they have done it all they amaze me with something like this. I was disgusted and pleased the whole time. The writers did a great job. Kevin Geurut did very good directing. Saw VI was amazing. The storyline was great and there was never a boring moment. The traps were very gory and the movie will pleases fans. This is the best saw movie yet. Lets hope Saw VII will please me just as much.

Very surprised!!!
17 October 2009
I'm rarely ever scared by movies, but this movie got me jumping and screaming. For the last couple of years i have been trying to find a movie that can actually scare me. I found many disturbing and graphic movies but no scary. That is until I saw paranormal activity. Paranormal activity uses ghosts, a hand held camera, and people that can act to make one hell of a movie. From beginning to end i was on the edge of my seat. What made this movie scary was the unknown. Ghosts are scary because people don't know much about them. Each night the ghost(demon)got more violent. As you watch the movie you get to see how the couples relationship is being affected by everything that is happening. This movie did not need gore, violence, sex, and nudity to be good. It just needed a good story and good actors. This movie is worth seeing in theaters. Don't wait till it comes out on DVD. It's scarier at the movies. 10/10

Exactly what I expected...Fun for the whole family!!!
13 September 2009
Just got done watching the new movie and I have to say that I was very impressed. The acting is better than you would expect and the story line is decent. Since I was real young I've always loved Scooby Doo. When I found out they were making another live action movie I got really excited. Then I found out It was not going to the movies and I started to worry. Then when I found out that Fred was not blonde and Velma was Japenease(something like that)I freaked out. But after watching it I realized the new Fred and Velma worked. The only problem I had with Velma was how she said Jinkies. My favorite part of the movie was the ending. How the makers remade the opening credits of the cartoon. That was really cool. This movie is very entertaining for all people who are fans of Scooby. I highly recommend it. 9/10

No suspense and nothing new!
30 August 2009
Warning: Spoilers
VERY MINOR SPOILER Just got back from the movie and I am disappointed. The 3D was awesome, and the deaths were gory but there was no character development. Probably because there's a death scene every 5-10 minutes. You really don't get to feel the emotions the characters are feeling. It never makes you feel sad for anyone. When Hunt died the cast didn't even get upset or cry. I know he was an ass but still they were friends with him and must of had feelings for him. It seemed like everything was just edited and thrown together as quick as possible. I think the creators were just worried about the 3D and nothing else. There was really nothing new to the story. The creators also gave away everything in the trailers so we knew who would die and when. There was no suspense. It is definitely the worst in the series, but worth a watch.

Not amazing, not bad, but OK!!!
22 April 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I was really excited when i found out their was going to be a remake. I was supposed to see it on opening day but it turned out i couldn't. So i waited and waited for a chance to see it. Finally i was able to. When the movie ended i was disappointed. I was expecting way more from it. The movie would of worked better if they used the characters from the first 20 minutes for the whole movie and had them camping and then have Jason get them.I liked those characters more. The first 20 min was more like a Jason movie than the last hour of it. So the movie wasn't bad or amazing it just could of been better than it was. By the way the new actor playing Jason was perfect.

Chaos (I) (2005)

Wrong On So many Levels!
21 April 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Sad, Sad, Sad. "Chaos", is horrible. It was very disturbing and not well written. The movie focuses on two girls who get lured away from a party by a man who will give them free drugs. Then are beaten, raped, and murdered by his dad, his dads girlfriend, and their friend. The part that got to me most was the rape scenes. The scenes were way to graphic. Another problem was the plot. The plot was very predictable and was not even scary one bit. The creators of this film take the plot of another movie,"The last House On The Left", change a couple of things, and claim it all their own. Which by the way David DeFalco LHOTL is a great movie unlike yours. This movie was sadistic and the director tried to hard to make it the most disturbing, graphic, disgusting movie ever made. When the girl gets her nipple cut off and is made to eat it proves that David DeFalco is a sick, twisted man. The only reason i gave it a star is because the acting wasn't bad. Everything else was very disturbing. I love horror films that are graphic and disturbing but this was way over the top.
