Human Capital (2019)
A Convoluted Mess
This is a terrible movie with no central theme to hold on to, using three different pov narrators, about ugly, stupid and confused people doing ugly, stupid and confused things. I watched it because Liev Schreiber and Marisa Tomei are fine actors, but they can't save this truly lousy script and movie. It's a convoluted mess.
Shirley (2020)
Awful
Unlike "Who's Afraid Of Virginia Wolf" which gives you some insight into why an ugly academic couple is saying and doing ugly things to each other and a young couple of academics , "Shirley" is just two people being ugly to each other and the young academic. If you enjoy watching sadism, this one's for you. I hated it. Hopefully, Elizabeth Moss will use her considerable talent to future work that is more interesting.
A Wilderness of Error (2020)
Pitiful Money Grab By Morris
This is a pitiful money grab by Errol Morris in a miniseries that has as many commercials as content, Morris draws out this miniseries, and an onslaught of commercials, utilizing a character and a bunch of hearsay unsupported by any physical evidence. Don't waste your time. Morris must be desperate for money to hoist this petard on the public.
Night Hunter (2018)
Gratuitous Violent Waste Of Time
This is a sick film written and produced by sick people for sick people. It's main plot device is gratuitous violence. If you aren't sick with a love of violent decadence, you'll hate this film.
Enemy (2013)
Awful
This is an aimless movie centered around a contrived idea of two identical men. It goes nowhere. A complete waste of time. Dull, uninteresting. Unsatisfying.
Nocturnal Animals (2016)
Lousy Film
This film has no coherent story and is a collage-like series of scenes with ultimately no discernible meaning. Meanwhile, there's a lot of preening by cliché characters. The connection between the two stories in the film is flimsy at best. Nocturnal Animals is a total waste of three good actors. It flopped at the box office for a reason. It's awful.
