CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Under My Skin (2015)
Hope this isn't the ending (SPOILER WARNING)
Kinda sad to realize that this may have been the very end of CSI, but if this was it, they went out right. I was so worried the entire time that they were going to kill Stokes - that seems to be the thing to do on every TV show since 2000, and at this point that doesn't shock or stir emotion, it just feels contrived...so great job of not falling in line with everybody else on that matter.
On a side note, I loved that they used Brooke Candy's "Opulence" over that long establishing shot of the city that leads into the scene where Lexi picks out a dress for her sister - that song just screams "big city" and "shopping" to me!
House of Food: Cater to the Crowd (2014)
Will is annoying but this episode had me salivating
Ah this episode was so tantalizing to my tastebuds it was almost frustrating to watch! Appetizers are my jam, this was definitely some high quality food porn in this episode.
Also, what's up with Will being so over dramatic? I know Suki's comment was offensive, but when he's all "that literally shattered my heart" that's just ridiculous and he comes across like a pre- teen emo kid from the 90's. That over-sensitive thing is really annoying...plus he just ends up making up with Suki later, so it makes him look even dumber for making such a big deal out of it. Oh well. On a side note, I do love that they used "Saddest Day" by Nicholas Ruth during the make up scene, I really love that tune).
Really wish this show wasn't cancelled, it's pretty much the perfect combination of two of my favorite guilty pleasures, food porn and reality TV drama.
Hart of Dixie: Disaster Drills & Departures (2012)
hope this doesn't get cancelled
Really, really hope they bring this show back for a second season - it's been getting better all season, and I think it has potential to be another long-running series for CW if they would only let it grow. My only gripe with this episode is I thought it was silly that they had Zoe mistake Rose's appendicitis for love sickness - kind of far fetched and ridiculous if you ask me, but other than that great episode.
I really thought having Zoe's father come back to Bluebell was a good development, and Zoe deciding to take the fellowship without telling anyone is definitely prove she's not ready for the responsibility. Also, I loved the song that they used when Wade apologizes to Lavon and then learns of Zoe's departure, I looked it up and I guess it's a band called The Orbans and that song "When We Were Wild" has been in my head all week. Can't wait to see what's in store for this next episode!
The League: The Tie (2010)
hilarious
Pete has a really funny story line in this one, as he tells the guys at a bar how he was just given tickets to a Bears game...they are all skeptical about the person's motivations, something which never crossed Pete's mind.
Also glad to hear the song "Our History" by Layton in the background...perfect song for the scene, which you can watch at http://vimeo.com/16635311
Anyway, following the discussion with the guys, Pete gets paranoid that he may indeed be meeting with looking for love...and the rest I will leave for you to find out.
