Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Subspace Rhapsody (2023)
Never liked muscal but this episode is not so bad
I've never been a fan of musicals, so this episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds wasn't exactly my cup of tea. However, I have to say that it wasn't a complete waste of time. The gimmick of setting a Star Trek story in a musical was well-conceived, and I did find myself smiling in a few places. But in other places, it was just too much. The emotional beats were well-done, but the music was often overbearing. Overall, I'd say this was a brave, well-written episode, but I hope it's never repeated. We only get 10 episodes per season, and I hope they're used more wisely in the future. Overall, I'd say this was a mixed bag. There were some great things about it, but there were also some things that I didn't like. I'm glad I watched it, but I don't think I'll be watching it again anytime soon.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow (2023)
A classic with some drawbacks
A classic journey filled with time jumps and captivating storytelling. It's a delight to witness another step in the humanization of La'an, as the character continues to develop and evolve. Additionally, seeing Kirk back in action brings a sense of nostalgia and excitement to fans of the series.
While the episode maintains its entertainment value, there are a few drawbacks worth mentioning. Firstly, the series is titled "Strange New Worlds," yet in these initial three episodes of the new season, we have yet to see any glimpse of new planets. This feels like a missed opportunity to explore the vastness of the Star Trek universe. Second, it is disappointing how little presence there is of Captain Pike (which also happened in the first episode of this second season), who seems to be increasingly relegated to a supporting role.
Digman! (2023)
I stopped at the second episode
I began watching DIgman with modest expectations, and unfortunately, those expectations were met. The humor in the series is filled with cheap and immature jokes that fail to impress.
The only thing that made me laugh (sarcasm) came in the form of the portrayal of Italians in the second episode, which provided some amusement (sarcasm). It is, however, disheartening to see how poorly the writers depicted the people from the Northeast region of Italy, particularly the Venetians. Representing them with predominantly brown or olive skin tones shows a clear lack of cultural understanding. It is evident that the writers have not ventured far beyond their own homes. While some may take offense, as an Italian myself, I find the ignorance displayed rather comical.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Ad Astra Per Aspera (2023)
Virgil and Seneca would be proud of it
"Ad Astra Per Aspera" starts off with a touch of excessive rhetoric, but quickly transforms into an episode characterized by exceptional writing that leaves a lasting impact. While I typically shy away from courtroom-based narratives, this particular episode manages to captivate my attention due to its remarkable execution and the outstanding performances delivered by the cast.
Virgil and Seneca would undoubtedly have been proud to see how well a phrase they cherished, such as "Ad Astra Per Aspera," has been represented and written in our modern times.
Well done writers, really well done....
FUBAR (2023)
The trailer had misled me
Fubar is a TV series that caught me off guard in the best possible way. After watching the trailer, I had low expectations, assuming it would be far worse than it turned out to be. To my surprise, Fubar delivers an enjoyable and entertaining experience, thanks in no small part to the remarkable return of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who proves that even with age, he's still in incredible shape.
The casting for Fubar is on point, with the other actors also delivering strong performances. The chemistry among the cast members is evident, and they bring life to their respective characters.
However, it's worth mentioning that occasionally, the comedic elements veer into overly childish territory, which may not resonate well with all viewers.
Despite this minor flaw, Fubar remains an entertaining and amusing series. The engaging storyline and captivating performances overshadow any shortcomings, making it a worthwhile watch. Schwarzenegger's charismatic presence adds an extra layer of excitement, and fans of his previous work will undoubtedly appreciate his involvement in this project.
Overall, Fubar manages to exceed expectations and offers an enjoyable blend of action and comedy. While it may have its moments of overly juvenile humor, the series ultimately succeeds in entertaining its audience. Whether you're a fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger or simply looking for an entertaining series to enjoy, Fubar is definitely worth a watch.
Honor Society (2022)
Good if you have insomnia
After five minutes I had realized that it was a silly movie but my masochistic part said to keep watching it.
I lasted another thirty minutes and then I really had enough.
These kinds of stories by now we have seen them hundreds of times. Some of them make you laugh, some of them move you, but this one... just puts you to sleep.
Plot predictable, jokes ridiculous and stereotypical characters.
In short, it sounds like it was written by a five-year-old.
Thankfully Paramount plus offers other quality products because if it were for this movie I would have canceled my subscription immediately.
Prey (2022)
C'mon this is a parody
In my country we have a movie character who is a parody of an ancient warrior. He takes slaps as soon as he moves.
And this happens to this Predator, Wolves, dogs, human being anyone can beat him up.
All topped with embarrassing cgi from early 2000s consoles.
Enjoyable if you like 50s Sci-fi B-Movie.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
Go Leatherface go
Certainly not a masterpiece. But what do you expect from a gore film?
A group of know-it-all kids try to take over an old lady's property but .....
Some scenes are very satisfying, others very improbable (but remember it is a gore movie).
All in all a 6 star film +1 for the ending.
PS
BTW no one has learned the lesson that Tuco gave us in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly": "When you have to shoot, shoot; don't talk"
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa (2022)
Where is Wolowitz?
After an average first episode and a good second episode here Boba Fett falls back into the ridiculous.
They have one of the most iconic Star Wars characters and what do they decide to do?
Let's give them some scooters.......yeahhhh
Ahahahha for the whole chase (the slowest chase in movie/TV series history) I was expecting to see Wolowitz pop up.
The Book of Boba Fett (2021)
Average start.
Not much to say about this first episode.
Good flashbacks.
Rididolous ninja-style fighting.
Pathetic Prince of Persia style chase.
Good ending.
I think and hope it will improve with the next episodes.
Curon (2020)
Good show
Seven for the show + 3 bonus for those frightened by a kiss between two girls.
Good atmosphere, good setting, good acting but too much teen drama
Dracula (2020)
Just a pathetic parody
What can we say ..... for sure it's not Dracula .... it's just a pathetic attempt to parody, ignoring story and history.
Garbage.

Living with Yourself (2019)
An enjoyable clone of "Multiplicity"
An enjoyable unoriginal show.
The similarities with "Multiplicity" are obvious but thanks to the acting of Paul Rudd and Aisling Bea the show is really good.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019)
Here we go..we can dream again
These are dark times for those looking for stories that make them dream,
thankfully, combining old and new style, "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" leads us to dream again.
Recommended but not for closed minds
Another Life: Living the Dream (2019)
There are no words
An interesting start at last, but after a few minutes the conversation between the defense minister and the journalist / influencer makes this episode collapse in idiocy like the rest of the show.
Another Life (2019)
A bunch of hysterical crying people in the space
The basic idea was to create a mix of all the science fiction films of the last 50 years.
But actually we have the most important mission in the history of humanity and ... who is the crew on the spaceship? A group of people who do nothing but cry and argue hysterically between them.
It would be a star, but the vote rises to 5 thanks to Katee Sackhoff who, however, cannot do miracles.
The Nanny: Val's Apartment (1995)
Love it
When i saw the apartment I recognized it immediately.
This episode was a funny tribute to Laverne & Shirley.
Ainori: Asian Journey (2017)
First season 8/10. Second Season 2/10
First season was enjoyable but second season...orrible.
The whole second season was focused on a girl (a bully) and....
really in a love show do I have to see a sheep tremble with fear before being killed?
REALLY?
