Dirty Dancing (2017)
Much better than what most are saying
Sometimes it's hard to judge a movie on its own merits when it's a remake. Especially when the original was such a fantastic movie.
The story is the same, the difference where is the emphasis is placed. The original placed the emphasis in a faster a moving music and dancing with a background story to round it out.
This one emphasized the interactions between the characters. The story was the reason for the remake, not the dancing.
Personally, I found this one had more acting and realism than the original.
To me the original is the better one for the dancing, and chemistry between Johnny and Baby.
But this one is better for the supporting roles. The interaction between Baby and her dad, between the Dad and the Mom, and between the two sisters added much more to the story.
Outlast: Fire. Water. Flare. (2023)
Lacks real intentions!
I have only watched the last half of one episode and just watching another as I write this review. The second episode says it's day 32.
What is the definition of survival in this series?
Some seem to whine and complain about how some attempt to eliminate them from the competition. But did they think it was just trying to survive the elements? I admit I missed several episodes including the first, but even my housemates who have been watching can't seem to understand the concept.
How far are they actually allowed to go to win?
And how many or few is considered the winning team? Is it just two? Three? Or four?
It is intriguing in that it seems that the more ruthless members are the females.
Ok, now I see a bit of hunger games as they get packages, which unlike hunger games has mission requirements.
Leverage: The Tap-Out Job (2009)
It's Hollywood Folks, not Michelin or Zagot's
This is more a review of the reviews;
Being from the South and all the dumb hick expectations most folks have of the South as compared to reality is something I am well aware of. Get over it! Unless it fits you and that's why your panties are in a wad.
The show is what is supposed to be rated here. As a Leverage fan, I say it was good as most. Not necessarily believable, but I watch for the entertainment not reality.
As far as requiring 600 character reviews for a sitcom that is like most out of Hollywood; Wash, Rinse, Repeat. Money, Time or lack of it because of so many channels require so many shows it is very hard to get something truly new.
Lucifer (2016)
Very Entertaining most of the time
I must admit it is not what I expected. I didn't know it was based off comics.
For the religious believers like me, just try to keep in mind it is entertainment and not a biblical show.
The few musical episodes at first lowered my opinion and I almost stopped watching. But they do include some good storylines you may want to know.
