Justice League: War (2014 Video)
"Justice League: WAR" Has Battle Scars
2 February 2014
Greetings Superhero Fans!!

I just wanted to let you know that I was one of the fortunate ones who was able to watch this latest animated gem from DC and Warner Bros. in addition to being at the premier, to which I was able to interview some of the incredible talent behind this latest endeavor...including the incredible Andrea Romano.

Justice League: WAR is based on DC Comics' "New 52", which means brand new origin stories and character depictions...if you're up on the current issues, well then only you can be the judge on the quality of these new story lines.

For me, who was never really a true "Comic-Book Geek", only a semi-Comic Book Geek, I am a little disappointed on this latest animated offering...which is sad, because, up until now, I have been nothing but incredibly impressed with all things DC Animated.

Now, please do not get me wrong, the movie is fun, and visually stunning...it is just not what I had hoped in as far as story, character development and execution. "Justice League: THe Flashpoint Paradox", "Justice League: The New Frontier" and "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths" I felt were better offerings and I have incredible hope and confidence that DC will continue with those as their guides for their future productions.

With all of that said...would I still watch it again? Sure, again, it was a fun watch, and even my 15 year old son, who loves these animated movies just as much as I do, enjoyed watching it and would watch it again...so...go out and get this DVD, which is officially on sale as of Tuesday, 02/04/14 and have yourselves a "Superfriends" time. ;)

The Twilight Zone (1959–1964)

Twilight Zone - Ahead of its Time.
27 January 2014
Greetings Gang,

For those of us who grew up either in the 60's or 70's, the truly Golden Age of Television and Entertainment (or at least influenced by that Golden Age), you knew of and as I did, LOVED Rod Serlings' "Twilight Zone".

Here is a man who created something so incredibly deep, thought- provoking and globally relative to all who occupy the wacky planet, that it truly was ahead of its time and an incredible influence to many of us who are in this wild and insane industry.

Mr. Serlings' collection of poignant stories of life, humanity and the lessons of our past still hold true to this day. Each episode was magic and entertaining, in addition, many of the famous stars of the late 60's, 70's and even the 80's got their starts on Twilight Zone! Cliff Robertson, Burgess Meredith, Robert Redford, William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelly (all three later went on to star in Star Trek), Charles Bronson and Elizabeth Montgomery, again...just to name but a few.

I know I'm kind of gushing within this review, but I cannot help it, I was truly influenced by Mr. Serling and Twilight Zone as a child and as a person who is involved in this industry as an actor and as a writer. For those of you who were as influenced as I was, or even if you were not, I would love to hear what you think and if you like, please list some of your favorite episodes, mine are as follows: "He's Alive", "Cesar and Me", "The Howling Man", "Changing of the Guard" and "Time Enough at Last". And again, these are just a few of the brilliant stories told within the five years in which Twilight Zone was in production.

Thank you to Mr. Serling and to all of those involved with the Twilight Zone for those five incredible years, thank you for contributing to some of the greatest moments of television for not only the Twentieth Century, but for what is now timeless.

True Detective (2014– )

True Detective has True Acting and Storyline!
26 January 2014
I am now into the second episode and I am very impressed with this vehicle that Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have attached themselves to. I have always been a big fan of both of these actors and can see some incredible chemistry between the two as the story unfolds and more is revealed in regards to their characters personalities and the lives that revolve around them.

I look forward to seeing how this series plays out and what other projects Matthew and Woody can team up together on.

HBO really is the home of some of my favorite shows, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood, Game of Thrones and now...looking like I am going to add True Detective to this list.

Thank you HBO.
