The Art of Travel (2008)
Let the Good Times Roll
I went to go watch a film called "DOT.COM" at Memphis Onlocation Film Fest last Friday night, which won best of the fest opening night of the festival. When I arrived to the screening I was informed that it was cancelled and that I should check out this film. I had no clue what it was about and the title suggests that it's some type of documentary about traveling. I'm not much into doc's but I thought since I came a ways to support the festival I might as well watch something. By two minutes in you realize that it's not a documentary but a feature film and then before I knew it the film was over 90 minutes later! The Art of Travel is a really fun film to watch and now I'm a new fan of Christopher Masterson who really surprised me in this roll. The rest of the cast was as entertaining and interesting. I've really never traveled out of the United States but now I'm going to make it a priority to experience an different culture in the next year! Anyway, great movie and what I heard people saying after the screening was that this film should have taken home an award. Watch this film!

Fun film to watch
Saw this at the Memphis Onlocation Film Festival and really enjoyed it. It's set in New York and all the acting was very good and the story kept me into the film. The film is actually pretty short so the story just keeps moving.
People seemed to really enjoy the film in the audience and the festival people really said great things about this film. It's always fun to watch a movie with a suicidal psychiatrist and in parts I was reminded about the film "What about Bob". The ending also doesn't disappoint. It's nice to see Scott Cohen again and his performance is really good! So if you have a chance to see this film go see it.

Interesting Film
It's an interesting film but I'm still trying to really figure out what the film is about. I watched it at the Memphis Onlocation Film Festival with the filmmakers in attendance and they did a Q & A after the screening. It's their second feature film, so I'd be interested in watching their first film which they said was a zombie film that takes places at a handicap ranch??? I sounds pretty original. Anyway, this film felt a little long in places but it also had some great scenes too. The sister relationship in the film is kinda different for what I've seen in usual independent films. It's a hard film to comment on but it's worth a look if you come across it.
