The Invisible Man (2020)
I love Elisabeth Moss !!
I'm a fan of Elisabeth for her role in The handsmail tales, so when I saw that she was staring as the lead in a movie I had to see it. It was interesting to see her at the theater because she's more a tv celebrity for me and she is what I thought she would be : Perfect. She is in almost every scenes and for a good reason. But I good actress alone cannot make a good movie. The story and the camera plans kept me wanting more. I suggest it to everybody who like a good thriller.
Brahms: The Boy II (2020)
A long movie for a short amount of time
At one point I was like " Is something going to happend ? ". I asked myself that 1 hour into the movie knowing they had only 25 minutes left to finished with something that makes sens.
The first movie really had an impact on me because I was not expecting the end at all and I was hoping to have the same feeling about this one. Or at least something that make sens with the end of the previous one. But I feel like they used the easy way out with that predictable ending.
Fantasy Island (2020)
Could have been better
They had an interesting story line but at one point I realized I was watching a movie I would have really like if I was thirteen years old. It's not that the punch is completly predictable, it's just boring and non memorable.
The Banger Sisters (2002)
One of my favorite movie
I watched this movie yesterday after many years not seing it and it's still so good. Some may say that's a movie you listen on TV a sunday afternoon and I would watch it every sunday. You wish to have this kind of friendship in wich you feel so free and feel like you can do anything whatever your age. This movie has one porpuse and it's to make you feel good after watching it.
Countdown (2019)
Not that bad
I've seen worst movie. I know that you can download the application and I'm scare to do it so the movie works I guess.
Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
One last bloody very very bloddy movie
I'm a Sly Stallone fan and he doesn't dissapoint with that one. It is exactly what I was expecting. An old man seeking revenge in the most possible bloody and violent ways. I want to see an eighty years old rambo still fighting like that.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019)
Basic
Basic story
Basic acting
Basic special effects
Basic movie
Ready or Not (2019)
Ready to fight
I expect something bloody and funny and that's exactly what it is. Don't take this movie too seriously.
The Kitchen (2019)
Not bad
They could have gone deeper in some aspects to justify the use of so much violence. The actresses are very good.
Can't Hardly Wait (1998)
Still good in 2019
I just listen it and considering every teen movie who has been out for the last 20 years, it is one of the best.
Annabelle Comes Home (2019)
Better than the first
I'm a big fan of the conjuring franchise and this one didn't disapoint. There's a lot of silent moments during the movie making it scarier. But I have to admit, I was expecting to see more of the Warrens. Maybe I needed more a third conjuring movie than a third Annabelle. With the end of the first conjuring, they had no choice to close the story of Annabelle and I think it's time to move on.
Anna (2019)
Great movie
It was slow to start. The part showing what was her life before all that is just not interresting , but great fights and good story in general.
What/If (2019)
Could have been better
I was already bored into the second episode. I'm suprise that a make it to the end. There is too much things that don 't make sense and it only gets worst. Half of the dialogues seems like the people in charge were out of inspiration to make them credible. The relationships between the majority of the characters are not belivable. About the secondary story with the psycho kidnapping the girl, this story doesn't make any sense with the show at all. It looks like it could have been on an other tv show. If the show is renew, wich will surprise me, i'm not losing time on an other season.
The Hustle (2019)
Not as funny as expected
It feels like Rebel Wilson is always playing the same character in every movie. It's getting old. An ok story. I did not see the male version but make me think of a charmeless version of Heartbreakers.
Assassination Nation (2018)
Killer girls
For most part of the movie I could relate to the story. But when people starts killed each other and the girls become a kind of commando, the fiction took the lead. But I have to admit it's at this moment the movie start become really good. Who doesn't like to see a group of chicks with big guns shooting everything ?
The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)
Family movie
This movie makes me feel like a child again. The story is good and the fact that it happens in the 50s brings more magic to it. Parents are going to enjoy it as well.
The Predator (2018)
Not the best
They need to go back to the origin with the saga Predator. It feels like the have to follow the patern from the othet movies and it's hard to give something good when you start with something really bad. The one with Arnold is the only who deserve to be watch. For the rest and this one in particular, don't spend your money.
A Simple Favor (2018)
Simple story
First of all, I didn't read the book. So I wont be comparing the movie to the book. Secondly , the movie makes me think of Gone girl. I couln't stop myself to make some comparisons during the movie. I was not expecting something as deep as Good girl, but,at one point, it looks cheap comparing what we have seen before. At the moment they found the dead girl in the lake , we already see the end comming : she fakes her death by killing her twin sister nobody knew , even her husband, she had and all that for financial reason . I cannot be sure if the plan to kill her twin sister came at the moment she realises her secret past could be discover or if it was all plan knowing she was going to meet her and kill her. Maybe the book is more specific on that point. When you realise you already know the end after 40 minutes into the movie and that you wait impatiently to see since the first trailer, you lose interest during the movie. But with all that said , what really makes the movie it's not the main story but more all the "meat" around it : The vlog of the main character, the french music , the attachment we devellop for Anna Kendrick's character. It compensates for the lack of imagination in the story.
Unforgettable (2017)
Exactly what I expect it to be
Since I saw the trailer I wanted to see the movie . I enjoyed Obsessed with Beyonce and Ali Larter and I was expecting the same kind of movie. If you liked Obsessed go for it either way don't listen it.
Peppermint (2018)
Saturday night movie
Is it the kind of movie you pay to go see? Not really. But when you catch it on tv on a saturday night you enjoy it.
Basic story, but it feels good to see Jennifer Garner back in action mode since Elecktra. She clearly has the face to play a badass women.
Dark Angel: Freak Nation (2002)
The begging of the end.
First of all, the series has been canceled after the season two by FOX and it's a very sad thing because a new life started for the "monsters". A new town and a big battle. The end of the series is incomplete. We know a little more who is Sandeman, but we never saw him. White is not dead and we don't know where's his son. In this episode, who is longer than a normal episode, more people know the real identities on Max and Alec, and we saw the Jam pony people's reactions and maybe the Manticore's guy could be accepted by the society of Seattle. There had again a lot of things who have can be told in the series, but maybe it was the plan of the director to give a lot of suspense.
