The Forgiven (2021)
a failed movie
This movie is a failed movie. It promises a lot and finally falls short. A real shame, because the fact of being behind John Michael McDonagh heralded a better result.
Emotions in frivolous environments with respect for traditional ritual; moral relativism with the strict fixation of customs.
In one, the superficiality, nothing really has interest, contrived actions and motives to configure the inner emptiness of its characters.
In another, empathy is forced around forgiveness, guilt, remorse, justice, compassion.
The best thing about the film is the performance of Ralph Fiennes and some scathing dialogue in the first part of the film.
Smile (2022)
The smile is the shadow that pain casts
It's been a while since I left the theater watching a horror movie that really left me disturbed, even if it was for just a few moments. For me it has been like seeing, measuring certain differences, on the one hand the structure of the plot in It Follows (better developed, with a much more agile rhythm and a truly suffocating setting towards the protagonist), and on the other hand, the theme Babadook background that I will not spoil for obvious reasons.
As a detail that fascinates me and makes me reflect, because I think this film makes it quite clear to the public, it is curious to see how fear and smiles are associated.
House of Gucci (2021)
A Fiction Story Badly Told
Maurizio and Patrizia's daughter have said that the story told in this movie is not the one that really happened, I don't know why they have changed the main course of events, I have only seen something good in the casting and nothing else.
The King's Man (2021)
I don't recommend it for truth seekers
A lousy script, very bad casting, Ridiculing history and what has happened in the past is not good, when we want to learn that doing something like this only results in a very poor job.
The Photography work only priced me something acceptable.
