Good at so many levels! Behind the curtains of youth and politics.

Short description of the movie promised me to show around Pridnestrovia through the life of locals - a land that I knew nothing about except name and conflict of it's existence. I don't know how a Westerner would treat and understand this film, but as a man from Europe's Eastern block, a man born in Soviet times who lived up to independence - this blew me away. Everything is so well known, familiar and experienced on so many levels. Beautifully shot, well constructed, capturing, extremely well integrated camera work. The young actors are purely charismatic and they deliver both comedy and tragedy in a very authentic way. I can give only my best recommendations if you want to understand the struggle of people in regions close to russia or failed regimes. It let's you re-evaluate current war in Ukraine and people trapped within. By the way, actors are speaking mainly russian, sometimes switching to Ukrainian, while country is tied to Moldova. Very unique and interesting to observe.
