Fear the Walking Dead: Odessa (2023)
Pure Crap
The subject-line says it all. But if you are simply a glutton for terrible writing, plot holes, outrageous story-line contradictions and inconsistencies, then this is the show for you.
I only continue to watch this phenomenal failure out of loyalty to the original show and with the sincere hope that the plot of Fear somehow circles back around to Rick, Michone, and the original TWD story. Anything short of that could most certainly be the catalyst to the mass psychological break in those who once considered themselves fans of the genre, especially after the complete crap-fest that was TWD: World Beyond.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005)
Just not my type of humor
This movie has wonderful actors, funny moments, and the best intentions for a humorous return on my investment of time spent watching it. Unfortunately, the writing and plot try way too hard, forcebly smashing half-jokes together with what seems like purely random nonsenssical silliness in the hopes of creating a dogmatic "Hitchhiker's" universe. This movie has a cult following who, I'm sure, would disagree. I respect their love of the movie. It's just not for me.
Scavenger Hunt (1979)
An Unsung Classic
This movie has not been given the credit it deserves. An all star cast, well written script, and crazy situations makes this movie a classic, in my opinion.
If you enjoy movies like "Rat Race", "It's A Mad Mad Mad World", and "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", you'll love Scavenger Hunt. It is very dated (1970s period) but it is definately worth watching. By the way...keep an eye out for several camios including a very young Meatloaf and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Man of the Century (1999)
Most entertaining movie I've seen in a long time
I just finished watching "Man of The Century" for the second time on the IFC channel. I just love this movie. Gibson Frazier is hilarious as is the rest of the cast. What a wonderful idea this movie was. I hope to see Gibson Frazier in more films in the future. I like his style.
