Reacher (2022)
Great casting!!
Finally, I was so looking forward to this and I was not disappointed. Great adaptation and wonderful music!!! The flashbacks and modernization of the story line were skillful and true to the characters. Please keep it going for more seasons!
Super Hot (2021)
Funny not scary, great indie film
I always laugh at reviews that give 1 star and then talk about amateur actors, directors etc. These reviews are obviously not from people who ever tried to create much, let alone a film. This piece has much more going for it than against it. Consider "Slacker" with a horror twist. I thought the casting was superb and the setting frightening, suburbia at it's worst. The writing fit perfetly into the plot premise and lifestyle of the characters. I'm so happy to find gems like this being released on mainstream sites. I'll look for all involved in future endevours.
These Streets We Haunt (2021)
Excellent for an indie film
Considering the amount of big budget crap out there today I was really surprised and happy with the time I spent watching this film. Great acting! Congratulations, it was a hit with me.
Dracula (2020)
Refreshing
I've seen almost every vampire movie available. I liked the strong female lead and the clever dialogue. The writing is superb, acting as well. A treat for the new year.
Law of Perdition (2017)
Great job for a low budget indie
I laughed at the nasty reviews because I'm sure those people have never tried to film anything let alone make a series. It is not what you are used to seeing on the big networks. That's why I found it refreshing. Good plot, good effects, good acting. Nice job cast and crew!
Edge of Winter (2016)
psychosis in the north country
The acting was superb. The plot was vague at times but I found that intriguing and it added to the suspense as it didn't follow a typical psycho killer format. There were clues in the plot that give possible answers to most of the questions as to why a poor example of a father could deteriorate into a delusional killer so quickly and I liked the ambiguity of that. The camera work was quite nice too. The location as desolate as the emotions, but still beautiful. Remarkable work by the two boys. Mr. Kinnamen's character so painful to watch. Frightening but believable. Well worth the watch, for an intimate look at failed parenting and trauma.
The Walking Dead: Last Day on Earth (2016)
Last episode I will watch
Spoiler: I am a true blue Walking Dead fan, and Talking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, all episodes. However,I see enough sadistic behavior in real life. This last episode made me ill. Granted many episodes of the Walking Dead are fright filled and gruesome but this one was over the top and had no redeeming value whatsoever. Sorry guys, I love you all but this is no better than torture porn. All you actors are worth more than this, get another job and feel good about yourself. By the way to the writers: cliffhangers are OK but not this one. Too much emotional manipulation was involved and no release. With the camera POV I felt as if I was the one bludgeoned to death and all I could do was to turn off the TV and it worked! Suddenly I was safe. I'm not sure that was what the writers/directors wanted.
