Black Summer (2019–2021)

Best Zombie thing EVER

I absolutely loved it.

The acting is terrific. You can really feel their fear. I can't remember when I last felt that 'edge of your seat' tension from watching a movie or tv show. I thought Train to Busan was great. This is greater. Well done to everyone involved.

The ratings on here are ridiculous when you compare it to the dire, sleep-walking dead. I logged on expecting at least a 7.9 or 8, but 6.9? That has to go up.

Jurassic City (2015)
7/10
I was glued to my seat. It's better than The Blob (1958)

Everyone's been too harsh on this poor movie. It's a B movie, they deserve a different kind of respect. Do people know how hard it is to make a movie? If I made this I'd be proud.

The actors acted their wee socks off and a couple of them were really good. They even had that mad punk from Mad Max II & Weird Science. He's a legend. Looking a bit different but his voice gives him away, straight away.

The cinematography was good. Whoever did the special effects did their best with whatever Jurassic software they had. The story was... well, it's a B movie.

I was glued to my seat throughout, (went for a pee once). Watched it with my grandsons & they enjoyed it immensely.

The best bit is there wasn't too much gore or bloody splatterings to make it kid unfriendly. They could have made this a very bloody movie just for the sake of it but carefully held back. Professionals in the making.

This is a good popcorn B flick. This was 10X better than Sharknado 1 and 2. This is on a par with The Blob (1958). No, actually it's better. I will definitely watch Jurassic City 2, where hopefully we get filled in on why there were dinosaurs loose in the city.

Recommended viewing. 7/10 B rating.

My Way (2011)
10/10
loved it
21 May 2012
This is my first review. I'll make it short. Someone else mentions the shaky camera. That annoyed me for the first 15 minutes or so, (reminded me of that annoying zoom on Iris) but then I forgot all about it and enjoyed what was a great war movie that every film buff should try and see.

I'll give it 9/10. Hell no, make it a 10/10, that other point just because Kim In-kwon was in the cast and he was fantastic as usual. (I hope the South Koreans appreciate what a highly gifted actor he is. I grew up loving the likes of Bette Davis, Joan Crawford etc. I know what I'm talking about, i.e. screen charisma AND great acting skills).

Taro Yamamoto as Noda was another character played very well. For some reason he reminded me of Doug Hutchison's character Percy from The Green Mile. (It annoyed me I'd seen him before but couldn't recall where so I had to look him up. He was the card cheater in Kaiji and one of the older kids on Battle Royale.)

Back to the point. My Way = Epic movie. I loved it.
