The Tuxedo (2002)
Inspector Gadget meets Jackie Chan
I like so many others like Jackie Chan, and I decided to rent this one out to watch Jackie do his usual martial arts and comedy mix. But all through the film I couldn't help but think it reminded me of Inspector Gadget. The tuxedo with its many gadgets, thankfully no hat on Jackie or roller skates on his feet. The martial art scenes were the usual thing that Jackie goes in for, as for Jennifer Hewitt best to watch the outtakes its more funnier than her acting in this film. Overall not one of his best and not a patch on Rush Hour 1 or 2. Wait for Rush Hour 3 instead of hiring out The Tuxedo.
The Last House on the Left (1972)
How Times Change.
In 1972 this film was made to disturb, shock and upset the viewers...But 31 years on in 2003, and many cuts later all this film left me with was boredom. Compared to say, I Spit On Your Grave which also was set in the countryside I was more shocked and upset with I Spit On Your Grave than I was with Last House on the Left. Yes, I admit the reason I watched this film was because it was Wes Craven's cinematic debut and with Wes Craven you know what you get, but sadly not with this film.
**********SPOILER ALERT**************
The two victim's murders were rather weak in horror. One getting stabbed to death and the other being raped than shot dead. You don't see much of the killing, just a quick flash and its over.

I felt the music was a way of softening the blow of what your going to view in the film, and I admit it did give me that feeling. Overall I've seen better horror films with horror content and I've seen better films in the shock content. Average start to Craven's career.
Cradle of Fear (2001)
Horror that will please fans of old.
This is a film that is just pure horror. If you like your films with loads of blood and gore than you will like this. Why? well the body count will rise and rise as the horror moves on. Fans of the band Cradle of Filth will like this for the lead role is played by the lead singer, and the rest of the band are in cameos. I also feel this film works on what has gone before, and kind of pays tribute to that. The sort of stuff I'm thinking of is Hammer Horror and B-Movie type films. Worth viewing if your a fan of the band or if you are a fan of B-Movie's and Hammer.
