Ikiru (1952)
How did this amazing film lose to a turkish comedy film
What im trying to say is, how did this amazingly organized film that is meant to convey a meaningful message get lower rating compared to the 1974 Turkish comedy film "The Chaos Class" that is an adaptation of a Turkish novel of the same name.
This is a message to the turks, watch this film, it conveys a beautiful message that will stay with you forever, so much so, you would watch this film over and over and over.
While i did grow up with movies such as "The Chaos Class", or "Recep Ivedik", i highly recommend this to anyone that is living on the edge, and can make anyone's eyes become a waterfall.
Recep Ivedik (2008)
This movie is kind of great, but also not
The amount of bad ratings this movie has gotten over these recent years might come from a phonomonea that i call "lost in generation", where a film that used to be revolutionary gets rotten with the growing movie industry, and the company is still making sequels like its their mario, so this movie, from a 2008 perspective is great, but for a modern viewer, this would be weird for them, there has been greater films then this, and i always call this "Turkiye's Shrek", due to how edgy it is (plus the fart jokes), so if you like that sort of comedy, go for it, nobody is stoping you, but it isn't #1.
