Don't bother!
10 January 2010
I decided to give this movie a chance, some low-budget homegrown movies can really surprise you. Unfortuantly this one did not. The movie went on for an hour and a half and still to this day I have no idea on what the point really was. I get that it was a 'coming of age' movie about a young boy finally being set free but it was a bore in pretty much all aspects.

The actors weren't the problem and did an okay job considered what they were given. Rebecca Gibney played an alcoholic stressed single-mum and did a good job but she was about the only real highlight of an otherwise pointless movie.

My advice? Don't waste 90 minutes of your life- it's not worth it.

Elvis and Anabell
10 January 2010
Being such a low-budget film I wasn't expecting much from Elvis and Anabelle but I'm glad I was proved wrong. Both Blake Lively and Max Minghella's performances were excellent. They portrayed characters who both hid dark secrets but also kept the believability of each character at an all time high. Joe Montegna stole the show for me playing the physically and mentally challenged father of Elvis( Max Minghella). His witty one-liners and the love he showed for Elvis and Anabell will touch your heart in such away that you will think about this movie for a long time after the credits role.

With such a quirky storyline and characters you will surely fall in love with,Elvis and Anabell is a terrific must-see film!
