Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
REVENGE AS A VIRTUE
Obviously this last installment of Rambo is a love letter to all the fans of the previous movies.
You got to think about it not like another separete Rambo movie. Think of it like it's the final denaument of a very long movie... the epilogie of a lifetime story of Rambo of Stallone as an action icon. As i can see the "critics" are not capable to understand this. So just ignore them.
Full respect for Sylvester Stallone, for his indipendence that he never tended to be someone else, someone that he isn't. Not coloring his hair. Not covering age wrinkles. Always trying to teach us a simple lesson in the movies he scripted. In most of them the lesson is that you've got to fight for the things you want and love, also never give up and always stand up on your feet no matter how hard for you it will be. And damn he looks great and always with incomparable presence. Everytime i see him i got that safety~cosy feeling of comming home for christmas or when put your warm sweather on a very cold day.
He's aging the best way a real man should. Looking rough and tough. Got that Cliff where the waves are crashing everlasting look.
In LAST BLOOD we understand that Rambo is not a hero, not an ordinary guy living a sheltered life, but a victim of his own lonelyness, nightmares and oppressed rage. And the only thing that holds this painfull emotinal dam not to crumble is his niece which is almost like daughter to him because he don't have a family. She is now the only chance Rambo can bequeath any moral values or life lessons to somebody.
And when the things go wrong we witness what happens when the pain inside is the strongest and most successfull motivator that can unleashes the HELL (in the full meaning of the word) upon the one who attempt to get in his way.
The atmosphere of the movie is like slowly sharpening a knife and cut yourself several times but continue to sharpening it. Sharpening, and sharpening until you begin to want to kill something ...something alive, something with blood and heartbeat... and then suddenly to stab it, stab it, stab STAB, STAB no matter you know that the thing is already dead. And after all this you feel no releif or satisfaction just complete emptiness.
If i got to rank RAMBO: LAST BLOOD like a separete movie i probably give it a 7 out of 10. But it's not just a movie it's a lifetime achievemnet, it is a result to almost 40 + years of hard work and dedication so EXCUSE me so called critics but it's the easiest and best desereved 10 stars i've ever given.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Best in the genre. Crazy, raw and powerful!
I've seen a lot of action movies probably seen them all, but nothing quite like this one. Fast-paced, entertaining. Beautiful fit between the desert ambiance, the action scenes and the visual effects. It has got the non stop action and movement of Crank, the speed car chasing of Fast & Furious, Michael Bay type of explosions and dynamic scenes but shot in a Christofer Nolan way. What a perfect opener. It will blow you away from the start to the finish. A guarantied two hours never stopping entertainment. Roaring engines, speed, shootings, fire, rust, dust really a must see. Anything else would be waste of words. Just go and see it!
The Rum Diary (2011)
Colors of the rum
Hard to review a movie like this, because I can't even say what's the main subject in it. But i enjoyed this movie. I think that most of the women out there wont find it interesting or entertaining and rather rate it boring, but if you are a man in a lazy mood and you like: drinking, smoking, old San Juan and Puerto Rico, getting in trouble and at least once you have been at the wrong place at the wrong time, then you will be able to understand the funny pats of it
Mix these 4 - red, white, blue and gold - and now you've got the color of raw home made rum.
beauty with Red lips, wearing Red dress, riding fullspeed in Red retro car, waking up with Red eye, Red flowers - roses
rich people with White shirts, "El Monstruo" - the White rooster, empty White pages of future novel, White spots in memory
endless Blue sea, everyday Blue sky, old cracked Blue walls, tiny Blue car
Golden sunglasses frame, Golden sandy beaches, Golden "spy" telescope, Golden rusty retro motorbike ...and a couple trying to have sex, listening to an old vynil, with Hitler giving a speech...
Imagine different combinations with these. But all roads leads to getting drunk with rum.
Shark: Wayne's World 2: Revenge of the Shark (2007)
The smile hides the bite
The whole first season is absolutely and deeply touching. I've never watched such TV series. "Shark" is easy watching and daily drama at same. It describes the life of a hardworking man and a good father. Sebastian Stark is the SHARK at work, he is the best in the team, he is the guy with the ideas, he is the one with the ironic dictionary. But maybe one of the best thing in the whole movie are those father-daughter moments. He may be "Shark" at work, but at home he is the victim of his daughter, which is the "shark" that he really never can stop. Sometimes he is tough with her, but i like mostly the moments when Jules "stoned" him. And this James Woods Face is so... Looking at the same point and understanding that in this little kid lives a wise girl or better told woman.
The last episode is so to say the best when we talk about script. At the end man can really understand why its named "Shark". At first when you think that Wayne's gonna go free for second time i thought wow now thats a "shark" so to say a predator, which can't be stopped. Then after Jessica pushed him to the limits i thought that she is better than everybody in this building , also better than Stark, so that makes her bigger "Shark". But After watching the end dialogue between Sebastian and Wayne... no. The "SHARK" is only one and this is Sebastian Stark. The whole plan, the whole story ending, no way. And the ending scene with his daughter...I think that it also take an important part in the episode and in the whole season. After the win over Wayne, Sebastian sitting outside with Jules and understanding that his best win ever is going to leave. Now this is real movie
