An Honest and Touching film about TFI
21 December 2011
I had watched this movie on DVD (It hardly ran in theaters) and it is now among my favorite Telugu movies.

Despite this being a very realistic and well made movie, it had very poor critic rating. Now, of course they would bash this movie, the director Puri Jagannath had criticized the (so called) Telugu movie reviewers. Please whoever is reading this do not read those useless reviews and miss out this fantastic movie.

Puri Jagannath gives an honest portrayal (probably semi-autobiographical) of an aspiring director (or any other technician) in the Telugu film industry. Despite facing many a hardship to get a footing in the industry, the sheer passion and love for movies that drives these guys is amazing. That is captured very well in the movie.

Ravi Teja is probably the right guy to play the lead, having struggled a lot to reach the position he is in today. I would rate this as his best ever performance.Sayaji Shinde as a producer, Subbaraju as the hero and Sairam Shankar as the fans association president were very good as well. The others played their part well too.

If you want to watch a very realistic, hard hitting movie on the working s of the Telugu Film Industry, this is the movie to watch.

Ravi Teja's best till date
6 March 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This is another blockbuster movie from SS Rajmouli. After Student No. 1, Sye, Simhadri and Chatrapati,Vikramarkudu is another masterpiece. This man is never tired of giving superb entertainers. There is typical Rajmouli violence but the surprise element was the amount of comedy in the movie. Of all Rajmouli movies this has the maximum comedy.

Story:

Athili Sathi Babu (Ravi Teja) is a smalltime thief in Hyderabad. A small girl comes to Sathi Babu claiming that he is her father. Later on it is revealed that there is a look-alike of Sathi Babu in the form of Vikram Singh Rathod who had an impeccable track record as IPS officer. His past in Chambal valley catches up with him. The rest of the story is all about how these look-alikes' take care of baddies.

However I would like to mention that the editing of the movie was not up to the mark. It could have been done much better.

All said, the movie is another blockbuster from Rajmouli and Ravi Teja. It is an ideal combination of Rajmouli's screenplay and Ravi Teja's histrionics.

Watch it only for it's comedy
26 January 2008
I watched this movie on TV and I thought it was OK. The main problem with the movie was its story. Same old storyline

Plus points: those hilarious one liners by the one and only TRIVIKRAM SRINIVAS. He is truly an amazing writer and after Nuvvu Naku Nachav, Manmadhudu and Mallishwari another fantastic work. Also the comedy part of Sunil, Venumadhav, Brahmanandam and Chiranjeevi. The comedy track saved this movie from being an utter flop.

Minus points: Mainly the story. Its quite ridiculous. And Sameera Reddy needs to learn to act.

Others: Mani Sharma's Music is decent enough. Bhumika Chawla is OK as an the NRI girl. Arbaaz Khan is adequate as villain.

Bottomline: Watch it only for it's comedy. The movie might entertain you but is not flawless and logical.

Victory Venkatesh's great performance
2 November 2007
A nicely made movie. The highlight of the movie was Venkatesh's and Kota Srinivasa Rao's Brilliant performance. Apart from this Trisha was also very good.

The story is somewhat common but the direction was very good. The comedy, the drama was very nice. However the ending though happy, was not very good. I thought it could have been better.

That said all the actors and actresses have put up a fine performance. It is one of those family movies which have become the hallmark of Venkatesh. His acting when his father dies is especially brilliant and mind boggling. Kota Srinivasa Rao also deserves a special mention for a great performance.

Overall the movie is fantastic and a SUPERHIT.

Mahesh Babu's best performance till date
4 October 2007
A fantastic movie. Mahesh Babu was simply brilliant. The director Puri Jagannath has obviously put in a lot of hard work into the script of the movie. And how he succeeded!!!!!

The movie VCD/DVD is worth a buy. All the songs of the movie, especially the title track (Jagadame) and "Deva Devuda" are good. The action part was slightly exaggerated but thats accepatable. Another highlight of the movie was Prakash Raj performance. Sayaji Shinde as the DCP was also very lively and the scenes of the press conferences are very good. The movie is slightly boring in the middle but that is made up by a thrilling finish. The comedy track was average.

Overall a must watch movie especially for PRINCE MAHESH FANS!!!!!!

Can be watched once
4 October 2007
As a fan of Nag I bought a VCD and watched this movie but it was extremely disappointing. The story is very predictable and it took lot of patience from me to watch the entire movie. Nag's performance can at the most be said to be average. The only good points in the movie was Rahul Dev,Raghuvaran's Acting an a couple of good songs by Devi Sri Prasad. The action part of the movie is also decent.

The trend of choreographers becoming directors may not be healthy. Prabhu Deva had started this and others have followed suit. I am very surprised how this movie became a success. 100 days in 74 centers!!! Unbelievable.

To make the whole thing clear, this movie can be watched once and that too only if you are completely jobless on a weekend.
