Fresh (2022)
Disappointingly Flawed: Fresh Fails to Deliver
Fresh may have garnered praise, but it falls short of expectations, plagued by numerous loopholes and an illogical screenplay. Let's address the glaring inconsistencies:
Firstly, Mollie's failure to file a missing person report for Noa is bewildering and undermines the story's credibility. Her decision to not involve the police when confronting danger at Brendan's house is equally baffling.
Additionally, the characters' actions lack rationality. Noa's failure to defend herself with a fork during dinner with Brendan/Steve is inexplicable. In the climactic kitchen scene, the decision to spare Brendan/Steve's life instead of eliminating the threat is nonsensical and drains the tension. (They could kill him with a big knife, yaa???)
Fresh wastes its potential with a flawed narrative and questionable character choices.
IT'S AN OVERRATED DISAPPOINTMENt, making it a total waste of time for viewers.
Aarya (2020)
Big plot hole spotted in 2nd episode of 3rd season
This series disappoints with its predictability, glitches, and repetitive nature. The storyline is riddled with glaring plot holes, and the acting feels stereotypical throughout. Each season seems to offer the same formula, making it feel like a recycled experience. The series desperately needs innovation and a break from its repetitive patterns to truly captivate the audience.
The MOST GLARING PLOT HOLE I noticed in the second episode of the third season is...
Considering Roop had the pendant Veer gave her, which could trace her location through messaging and responding by pressing the pendant, why didn't Veer think of messaging her so Roop could respond, allowing him to find her location?!?!?
Dunki (2023)
What a messy and illogical movie!
The movie was dull, featuring subpar acting from Taapsee and SRK. Vicky Kaushal, a better actor, only had a brief role. The film lacked coherence and failed to engage the audience. The portrayal of the "donkey route" was minimal, seemingly included just to match the movie's title.
Despite attempts at humor with juvenile jokes, the movie dragged on for hours without delivering in action, romance, drama, or comedy.
Watching "Dunki" on Netflix while multitasking is viable; skipping an hour wouldn't impact understanding as the movie was entirely predictable and lacked significant substance throughout.
1 * out of 5 *****
Kutch Express (2023)
Why so low rating for such a beautiful movie?
I had the pleasure of watching 'Kutch Express' recently, and I was truly impressed by its remarkable realism and captivating storytelling.
The entire cast delivered performances that far exceeded my expectations. This film offers a modern and groundbreaking perspective on the complexities of married life, which I found incredibly engaging.
I must say it's a remarkably realistic and captivating modern Gujarati movie presenting a fresh perspective that truly caught my attention. I want more such movies.
I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire team for their exceptional work, keep it up!!!
OMG 2 (2023)
One of a kind movie - must watch for teenagers and people in 20s
In all honesty and without any bias, I must declare that this film stands as one of the most remarkable cinematic experiences I've had the pleasure of witnessing.
It surpasses the likes of Gadar 2, a film that can only be described as a clichéd and nonsensical endeavor. Regrettably, the box office figures favor Gadar 2 over OMG 2, a true disheartening fact, as OMG 2 truly deserves a more impressive reception. Yet, I comprehend the prevailing taste of the masses, and it's lamentable that they haven't embraced the brilliance of OMG 2.
I must also express my disappointment with the CBFC for affixing an "A" (Adults only) label to this film. It's perplexing that explicit content, obscenity, profanity, and innuendos, widely present on OTT platforms and in numerous other films, can be overlooked while this movie faces such classification.
Without a doubt, this film demands the attention of adolescents and those in their twenties, irrespective of their gender.
Kudos to the team behind OMG 2 for their commendable efforts. Their dedication to excellence shines through!
Hoon Tari Heer (2022)
It could be a better movie if...
Right now watching this flick and I felt like sharing my review about it. A toxic relationship is shown with beautiful locales and cinematography. Nothing new or exciting, to be honest. Also, frankly, the star cast feels improper except for the actress. Both male leads are unsuitable for the movie. I would complete the movie if there were other actors.
In the music department, they hired big names but honestly, the songs are not as good as expected otherwise movies could be watchable.
They tried to make a modern Gujarati movie and they partially did it by choosing European locations and some shots. The screenplay could be better and some scenes could be edited.
Again, both male actors are inappropriate and ineffective in the movie.
Only watch if you've some idle time to kill otherwise you can skip this flick.
Hun Iqbal (2023)
A good plot wasted by poor direction and jarring length
Let's summarize entire movie in points one by one:
1) Unnecessary smoking scenes, camera angles, liquor consumption by Police and journalist in dry state like Gujarat, wow!
2) Illogical scenes like all lookalikes on many traffic 🚦 signals and nobody noticed that? Nobody?
3) Why there is no handwriting expert in Gujarat Police?!? Nobody felt like matching fake Iqbal's handwriting with real Iqbal?
4) This could be a very good milestone in Gujarati film industry IF direction, screenplay and actors were better.
5) Ultimately, it's a wasted attempt to make a mystery flick in Gujarati that wasted my 2 hours 15 minutes.
6) Unnecessary movie length that could easily be trimmed.
7) 3 out of 10 stars are okay, not more.
Plot was good, execution was not!
Even they're planning Part 2 of this?!? It means extended mental torture.
