The Night of the Hunter (1955)
Finally saw this movie on the big screen
I have seen this movie on DVD and finally got to see it in theaters tonight. This is a perfect movie. The acting, the visuals, the emotions that it pulls. Everyone needs to see this. This was the only movie the director ever made, well he could never top this. It's such a beautiful movie to watch, and it pulls all the emotions. It is terrifying, it is sad, and it truly makes you feel love at the end. Lillian Gish is perfect. Robert Mitchum is not only terrifying, but you can understand the feels of one of the characters at the end *he is sexy as hell*. The river seen will make you cry from the beauty.
Shining Vale: Chapter 10: She's Real (2023)
What a fun episode for horror fans!
This episode is full of Easter eggs for horror fans. It is packed full of laughs and surprises for those that are paying attention. I truly enjoyed every second of it. "Terry" had me cracking up. The balance of Comedy and Horror in this show is something that I have not seen before. I can not wait for the rest of the season and am hoping for a season 3. I loved season 1 and season 2 has completely taken me by surprise by outdoing season 1. I am hoping to see some of the characters from the 1st season come back, like the shopkeeper that Pat visited. I am also happy to see that "Jake" is getting a bigger storyline.
The Fall (2006)
Gorgeous, unforgettable movie
This movie is a true masterpiece. It draws out all emotions and is so beautiful to watch. Lee Pace is spectacular. The costumes are breath taking. This is a must see. So a little research on how the movie was made before viewing and you will be even more impressed. Can not recommend this movie enough. Wish I could have seen it on the big screen so I could really take in everything. The DVD and Blu-ray are pricey, but well worth the money you spend. This director also directed The Cell and Lady Gaga's 911 video which all share a common artistic line. In my opinion, this film takes the cake. Love it.
Shining Vale (2022)
A horror fan's comedy
I love this show and can not wait for season 2! There are several references to the great horror movies and giggles along the way. The sets and lighting are spectacular. Courtney Cox is fantastic! My favorite is the dog, I want more Roxy! I am a big fan of horror, and this show did not disappoint. There are some scary moments, but they come a bit later in the season. The last episode is a cliffhanger and really sets it up for season 2. I am hoping they will release it soon! The cast really seem to vibe well. Give this show a chance, it will truly shine for you. There really isn't anything out there like it.
