Fortress of Sin (2022)
Impressive Indie
Paul Chomicki's concept for Fortress of Sin handles an important issue of human trafficking without exploiting graphic violence, which shows sensitivity to the issue. Personally, I don't care for reviews that tell too much of the storyline as I want to experience the film on its own merits. So, I will keep it simple: the storyline revolves around a down and out father searching for his daughter. I thought it was a fresh take that the search doesn't occur in inner cities but in a vast deserted area. The locations make for a very impressive Indie film with some nice cinematography. The sound quality and score adds a nice suspense throughout the movie. If I had to find any criticism, I might have deleted two scenes in the movie and then tried to utilize more of the amazing locations to lengthen the film. In one case, I might have switched character roles but this is just one reviewer's opinion. After watching this movie, I found out how much of a joint effort this was by Paul Chomicki, Dave Campfield , Christian Voss and just about everyone involved in the film. They all came together to produce a fantastic Indie film that is worth watching more than once.
