Garage Sale Mysteries: A Case of Murder (2017)
Not as good as the other Garage Sale Mysteries.
I'm a big fan a was real disappointed in this one. It eemed like a different movie -- same cast but the story was kind of lame. The writing not as sharp -- scenes went on too long. They just seem to talk about nothing. Also, big problem with the ending -- I won't give it away, but this movies always had really cool situations for Jennifer to escape from. She had to use her smarts. Not this time.
Garage Sale Mysteries: Murder Most Medieval (2017)
Best on Hallmark -- love these
The Garage Sale Mysteries are head and shoulders above the other Hallmark Mystery movies. I am a big fan of Lori Laughlin, she is wonderful and the supporting cast is superb -- especially Sarah Strange. The writing is consistently great on this -- funny and smart. They murders are always a surprise and takes some unravelling to figure out. Hope there is many more -- the whole family loves these.
Disappearance (2002)
Amazing, scary and smart
I recently saw this film on DVD was very impressed. Beautifully filmed, scary and suspenseful and CHALLENGING! What a concept for a TV movie -- it actually makes you think, it doesn't gift-wrap every answer. There were four of us who saw this movie and we argued about it for an hour afterwards.
What did this mean, what did that mean, etc. So many cool details, so many ideas -- and all in a TV movie! The old guy in the jail gives you all of the answers -- which one makes the most sense? If you stumbled across this little gem, watch it. Just don't expect to have it wrapped up in a neat little bow. You're going to have to pay close attention and use your brain -- and even then, I'm not sure the answer if definitive.
Did I mention it's also scary, suspenseful, and looks like a feature film?
