Leo (2023)
Didn't expect I would love it so much
I can't stop crying. This is such an awesome show. Even it's a kid's show, everyone should watch it. I am a coach and I listen to people and help them, I guess Leo reminded me why I am doing what I am doing. Such a heart-warming story with all the awesome details. I especially like when Leo talk with the escaped pet zoo animals: they are a bunch of brats because you don't know them. That speaks so true for everyone. If you really are willing to spend time to listen, to encourage and to help, everyone has so much to show. Awesome story, writing, music. There wasn't one second I was thinking "eh stupid kid show." I highly recommend everyone watch it.
Falso amor (2023)
Terrible show. This is everything wrong with human being
I thought it was an interesting concept. But as I kept watching, I felt this is a sick show. No matter the video clips of people cheating on their partners were real or fake, the participants watched the clip with their partners faces in it. They all felt heartbroken, confused and pretty much everyone cried. Even they were faithful to each other, the image left an impression and we are not strong enough to get that image out of our heads. Every single person was there to break up the couples, the participants flirted with the singles and then were heartbroken when seeing their partners flirting(even though it can be fake). They felt betrayed.
Nothing in this show makes people feel good, it's everything wrong with human beings. Terrible show.
The Sinner: Part VIII (2017)
A great season
Unlike some reviewers, I think the pace is perfect. All the "boring" stuff are very important pieces of the puzzle. The pace makes me follows Cora's steps, looking for the lost memories with her, and untangle the clues to a straight storyline.
From the very beginning, I see how great the main character's performance is. As someone grew up with trauma, I immediately recognized Cora's resistance to sex is related to trauma. That's next level acting.
The storyline surprised me. I thought there will be a clear villain, but in the end it's just a series of mistakes made, with intention to protect. It's beautiful when Cora forgave the people she said sorry to earlier.
You: The Death of Jonathan Moore (2023)
This is real world
A lot of people here are mad that Joe is not dead and not being punished. But this is real world. Are you really that naive to think the rich are innocent and don't have blood on their hands? Just look at the world and how people have died mysteriously in prison, and everyone knew he didn't commit suicide. Rich are getting away with murder, you don't want to believe it, but you can't turn a blind eye.
I actually really like this season. I think it's brilliant. And I never feel Joe is bad, he is obsessed. I also really like that he found Kate, they are so cute together. Marianne is alive so that's good too.
You People (2023)
I understand
I feel surprised to see so many negative reviews. I mean yes it's not a great movie, but it's ok as a light hearted comedy. As an Asian, I can see similar things happen if I marry a white or black guy. Everything they said felt true. I felt related when watching the movie. Maybe it's not for everyone. But doesn't mean it's a bad movie.
I think it's good that they keep talking about race. We need this type of open conversation of how people can say wrong things from their cultural perspective. In the end, it is the young people's love help the parents to reflect, and I like the idea of it.
So yes, I understand.
The Wonder (2022)
Best movie of all time
I can't believe this movie. I am in complete awe. I just finished it and came to register and leave this review.
It's amazing. It started kind of plain, but as the story continues, you can't stop wonder. My brain didn't stop for one second. All the way amazing from start to finish. This movie has to get an Oscar, it is just way too good. I am so lucky to have watched it.
The movie didn't give you a clear reason but it doesn't need to. It's such a refreshing way of telling the story. If you watch the movie, make sure to watch until the very end, the very last second. You don't want to miss it.
