65 (2023)
65 + 25
Great Dino movie!
The pacing is great. It just flows from one scene to the next
Plenty of Dinosaurs. I felt like we got some every 5-6 minutes, give or take.
I enjoyed the story of the father, crashing on a Different planet. While he has a dying daughter back home. Ect. The dinosaurs where the Cherry on top for me.
Visually it's very good.
It's dark, funny, fun, charming & sad.
Very good acting & chemistry
I loved it.
I felt very happy with it after watching it. Which does not happen often these days. I looked forward to watching again & i did the following night. Which again doesn't happen much these days
65 goes in my list of Favorite Dinosaur movies.
65 + 25 is my score for this movie. 90% 9/10.
Suicide Squad (2016)
FUN but clearly not the vision we're supposed to get
Its so obviously it was mot the version of the movie we were suppose to see
That said, its not a bad,Terrible movie
It's still fun overall
Characters are still fun, cool, funny, overall
Many scenes i still like
Like Deadshots "pleasure doing business With you" scene
Deadshots "yall joker's must be crazy" scene
"pep talk" scene
'deadshot & daughter' scenes
& many more
Leto as Joker is great. I don't get the hate. He's my second Favorite he feels so comic like and actually feels Joker like
I would love to see Ayers vision of this movie
Cause if i still like the theater. Cut...overall....then wow! I much looove Ayers cut.
Barbarian (2022)
Underwhelmed
I do think it's a good, solid movie, at the end of the day.
It has potential to be even better.
But it wasn't what i was thinking or hoping, or wanting.
I thought this would be the second most scary movie, I've, seen. Boy was i wrong, cause i don't think i was scared one.
I also thought majority of the movie was gonna be Underground & claustrophobic, with a terrifying Creature.....eh.....not so much. I feel like not even half of the movie is that
The Creature. Went from kinda creepy to lame as they explained her as the movie went on
I thought the end was lame too
Also too many weird moments, and they did a little too much, rather than keeping it simplistic and scary.
Acting is good.
I like the misleading, making us think one of the character is a Psycho.
It is nice to see somethings Different.
Its a solid movies overall, but i did feel underwhelmed. I can see myself liking it even slightly less as time goes on.
7.9.
Halloween Ends (2022)
THANKFULLY DGG's BAD TRILOGY IS OVER
I thought. You can't get worse
But Ends did
JLC was the best she's been since Halloween 2
The Pumpkin credits. Well Overall really cool, minus the weird blue font
everything else, is bad
It looks and feels like any modern movie, does not feel like a Halloween movie for the most part
the story is stupid
What they did with michael
was stupid and corny, didnt even feel like Michael
A lot of acting is bad
characters are Pointless
Too long
characters are still alive, that is Unbelievable
michael might as well have not even been in the movie, with how little he was in the movie
Just a bad movie.
Not just a bad Halloween movie, just in general. It's not good
2/10.
Hellraiser (2022)
TOO HORROR FUNHOUSE
The first half, i actually like, which i feel will be the opposite for most, but for me i prefer. The first half cause It's a slow burn
It's more creepy
More suspenseful
Then as the second half happens, the movie just starts, to do too much, starts to become more of a mess. The acting. Starts to take a dip.
A cliche twist happens, and it's a twist that isn't even needed, the movie can still play out the same overall, without it. Then it's less scary. Or a different. Kinda of scary. It goes from creepy kind of scary. With cenobites there, not there, in and out of darkness. Suspenseful. Is it real, not real? To...a horror funhouse. A Hellraiser version of 13 Ghosts. Which for me wasn't scary anymore and kind of Corny as well.
7.5.
Cool Runnings (1993)
KISS MY LUCKY EGG!
I LOVE and cherish this movie!
It's hilarious, emotional, fun!
Such a fun time!
The cast is perfect!
The characters are amazing love Sanka! Pretty much all of his lines, if not, all...are quotable!
"ice..."
"im not smoking...I'm. Freezing!"
"how bout i draw a line down the middle of your head and make it look like a butt?"
"Tallulah...sounds like a two dollar hooker"
He just never stops, hes too funny. And the other characters have their hilarious. Moments too, just laughter. For me almost never stops
Its such a charming movie! When it comes to Comedies. Cool Running has got to be in my top 3 of all time. Easy.
9/10.
Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)
What Is The Big Deal?
I had Originally, planned to watch the Original movie first
However, my kid nephews visited me, they loved the first movie, as well as their mom. So i have heard lots about the movie. So my nephew's. Wanted to watch part 2 on their visit, i didn't want to make them wait, so i just went ahead & watched part 2 first
Didn't like it one bit, thought it was corny, lame, cringe, the story was uninteresting. I didnt. Like a single thing about it. Make me wanted what the big deal about the first movie is, if its anything like part 2
When the credits rolled, my nephew's. Said it was lame, and it was bad, and the first movie is way better. Now i don't even want to bother with watching the first film.
The Polar Express (2004)
HOT CHOCOLATE!
My favorite Christmas movie!
The animation is so good
The story is so good
So charming
So magical
It's near perfect.
My only issues is that is slows down for a moment a couple times and I'm having such a good time it always annoys me, I'm like let's get back to the fun!
It's a must watch every December. Alone with eating pizza! I don't know why put I'm always in the mood for pizza and snuggle up while watching The Polar Express
I need to read the book, I didn't even know it was based on a book. I recently fount that out, that the movie sucks compare to the book. If that's true... How good is the book then?! Cause the movies is the best Christmas movie ever! And I'm not even all that big in Christmas movies, just a handful that I like.
Beast (2022)
A FUN RIDE!
Very Good!
My favorite thing about this movie is the camera work!
Great tracking shots! I loved that
Lots of cameras movement
Just great shots in general
Many times, I was think man..... Whoever shot this, can they pleaser make an uncharted movie! They would kill it! Even the dreams felt Uncharted. Like when Drake is drugged in Uncharted 3. They would do an amazing job I know it
The CGI was way better than I was expecting. Think there was only one shot in the beginning, that I thought looked kinda bad, everything else was either very solid or amazing to where I wasn't sure if it was real or not
And a fun ride! Really felt like one.
Little things I didn't like...
A little bit of the dialogue I ride like. Not major, just a couple questions, and some dialogue at the end, that came off as too obvious, explaining to the views what happened just in case they didn't understand.
I don't care for one of the actor's acting overall. Didn't ruin the movie for me or anything
That's pretty much it.
8.5.
Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994)
REXcellent!
My personal favorite of the series
The story and concept is too cool
Heather somehow was good. I don't know why I dont like her acting in the original, but I do in New Nightmare, not just that. But thes so convincing at being a Mom. One of the most believable mother and son roles in any movie I've seen
And Dylan...so great. When Freddy isn't scary, Dylan is. Which I guess is still Freddy technically but ..still
Speakings of Freddy. Best look in the series. I think it's more along the lines of what originally Freddy was going to look like. With the face and coat. He's very scary too. Something different about how Robert plays him. Just like Robert says in the movie. It's true, least for me.
I love Rex! Who doesn't?
That doctor is scary! Which is really Freddy technically. But still, that part always scars me too
I just love this Nightmare movie, it's charming.
The CGI is dated.
And the end gets a little silly with the tongue moment., Freddy goes from really scary, to...more along the lines of Fma Freddy we would get in one of the later sequels. I wouldn't have done that. No huge deal though, it's brief and the end anyway.
A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
7.5 MORE MINUTES TO PLAY
I really don't hate this movie, or think it's bad.
Overall, it's a good horror movie, a decent....no, solid Nightmare movie
The CGI is bad, for at least half of the movie, but what's new? More times than not, GCI is bad in most movies
There's a couple of bad acting moments, again. What's new? Is there a Nightmare movie, where there's not bad acting?
I'll agree, I think it would have been better, if we got to see the characters first, be somewhat normal, & have fun for a while.
There was a missed opportunity, I think they should have followed through, with what they where leading us to believe. Think if Freddy had been innocent, it would have been different, and would have separated it from the original series. Especially if they had made more sequels to the remake.
Even though Freddy looked bad. He was still. I like the rubbing the blades together, Even though I don't think that's possible
He has good lines, Funny yet dark and serious
The actors I liked. I think I even prefer them overall, to the original.
Some very cool moments. Like the store scene. That was so cool.
I liked the online video scene
That class scene was very cool. Ain't gonna complete with the original, but I liked what they did. And I think that's one of the few moments where the CGI is solid.
The open kill is sick too
So is the jail scene
I just don't get how people make this movie out to be bad, and unwatchable. They gotta be comparing it, to the original, and Freddy to The original. But even then.... I still don't see how you can think it's a bad movie. It's very solid.
7.5.
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
THIS....IS GOD
It's a little boring at times
Due to the lack of amount we see Freddy. And the actors and characters just are strong enough, for when Freddy isn't there. We don't even see Freddy, when Freddy is killing.
Heather is bad in this movie. I've never been a fan of her a ring in this movie.
Other than that. The movie is amazing
The DP work
The Shots
The tone, it has this... little, dream.. twilight kinda hue over the film.
Freddy is his best. Scary, serious, even when he jokes is still creepy. Like..."this....is god" or when his arms stretch! The execution is still scary
The kills and dreams are grounded, unliek what we get in Dream Warriors
Great Horror Movie
9.0.
Back to the Future (1985)
8.5 GIGAWATTS!
I love it
It's awesome
So many amazing things about this movie
It's original
It's shot well
It's fun
Great story
Great characters
Perfect cast
I would give it 10
If not for the final act
I don't know what it is
But there's something about that last act, that I'm not feeling, I'm always checked out, don't know if it's the movie is just too long, or if I feel it's just dragging on. Or I'm not not liking it, or a combo, but for whatever reason, I'm always ready to turn it off. In that last 20 minutes give or take.
Other than that, and overall I love the movie. 8.5 Gigawatts for me.
WTH is a Gigawatt?!
Samaritan (2022)
A CHARMING MODERN SUPERHERO MOVIE WITH HINT OF OLDSCHOOL VIBES
I just thought this was charming.
A fun, popcorn, family kind of movie
It was refreshing in ways
1. Not once did I feel it woke
2. I didn't feel that I had to take this as serious as DC & Marvel films. It was nice to just kick back and enjoy a movie, in the way that I did.
I liked the action.
I liked the acting.
I liked the story. Nothing original. Very simple, may be predictable, but it felt different from what we usually get. Another thing that felt refreshing
Maybe it's just me, but there's a Hint of 80's/90's vibe to it. I could totally see this coming out back the as a B superhero movie. The vehicles definitely looked it. So cool.
I had a thought when I keep seeing the Samaritan, Nemesis, and that's, I would enjoy seeing the team who worked on this film. Make a Deathstroke movie. They reminded me of him for some reason.
Could have been like 5-10 minutes shorter
GCI could have been better, I've seen worst, and there's moments, where the CGI is very good so ....
And maybe just a bit more action
Other than that I enjoyed it. Fun film.
Not a mind blowing, Amazing movie. But far from being bad. It's a fun time. 7.5 for me.
Friday the 13th (1980)
The Scariest With Not Much Re-watch Value
I do think this is the scariest movie in the series
It's so dark, and feels real and isolated
It's shot the best.
It has the best killer of the series.
The score is some if the scariest, I've I never heard in a horror movie
The kills are and effects are great
Lots of good things about it
But the characters are dull. Maybe the most dull in the franchise
After a couple views it'll feel like there's not much point to watch it again
Cause it's basically a very basic who is the killer story. & wants you find out, it feels like oh ok. That was a good scary movie. Not much reason to watch it again, cause I'll know who the killer is, and the characters aren't interesting or strong enough and I'm the story is simple so..
I do love it overall.
Mortal Kombat (2021)
MULTIPLE MOVIES INTO ONE
First off, the movie feels like it was made my 3 different people, trying to make 3 different versions
Like one was in charge of The Beginning stuff. Another was in charge of the main MK characters, and the Cole stuff. & they all looked and vibes differently.
The beginning was so sick, and wish that was the whole movie.
When it comes to the main MK characters. Subzero was sick, and scary.
Kano was hilarious! He made it take around 3 hours, for me to finish the movie. He was killing. I had to pause the movie. Cause I could not stop laughing. Then when I calmed down, I would rewind it, pause laugh, rewind, pause laugh. Then movie on..... Until he said something or did some funny again. Which he does a lot in the movie.
Lao was perfection.
Kable was perfection.
Scorpion was good
The Cole stuff was not only unnecessary, his scenes were not of the same quality of the other scenes or the biggest, felt and looked was cheaper.
Jax, Raiden, and others felt pointless
There no tournament. That felt odd
The story wasn't very good, which is why I wished they just kept the beginning going. It's like they can tell great individual Stories of the characters, with these movies and series, maybe that's what they should do, instead of making a movies about all the characters fighting in a tournament.
The characters I liked most, get killed off
The score is not good. Very underwhelming.
Lots of things going for this movie, lots of cons, overall though, I enjoy it. 7.5
I look forward to the sequel, I hope they learn & improve with it, & we get at least a 8 star movie next time.
Halloween (2018)
UNDERWHELMING, BUT SOLID
Wasn't as good as I would have hoped. But not bad
Don't like Laurie's Role, don't like Karen.
Don't like that they kill all the good characters basically.
They ruined the potential of what of the characters
It takes too long to get going
JJC is great as Michael in this movie! He feels the most supernatural, without making it corny. The balance of human or not, is done so well. Best sense the original.
The off screen kills! Yes, amazing stuff.
Arron & Dana I really liked and wish we followed them more
I like Dave and Vicky
I like Oscar
Live the tracking scene, Halloween 2 vibes!
I liked the Doctor until they ruined the character.
Love the score.
Solid Halloween. Kills makes it seem way better too.
7.0.
Halloween Kills (2021)
A Corny, Lame, Cringe, Repetitive Mess
One of the Worst in the series
Dialogue is terrible, & repetitive.
They actors are incredibly cringe. It's like they were told to be so, cause what are the odds almost every one in this movie is.
Side plot is nonsensical, & too long
Some characters that are unnecessary
I don't even like Michael in this movie.... For the most part, he has a good moment or two. But... I don't like this version of Michael, where he's over the top with his kills. Leave that stuff to Jason. There's kills in the movie were I was like man... If only that was in a Friday the 13th movie. And that's not a good thing to think about. Too over the top.
The story is a waste of time. Nothing really happens when you sum it up. Michael escapes the fire, starts to make his way back home. The neighborhood finds out he's still alive, they want to go find him. Spend much time chasing the somebody who is so obviously not Michael, especially since he was on the news....hello...Then they lead him to his home, beast him up in the middle of the street. Which was also something so dumb about the movie. Seeing Michael in a street fight... Wow... Anyway Michael kills them, obviously. Goes inside his house. The end. Like really? At the end of the day... That's it? One of the worst storylines in the series too.
What was good about the movie. The flashback scene was well done. Some cheese in there too, don't like seeing the bully be bullied..that was weird, but overall well done.
Having Loomis back. Not just that, but making him look like Loomis. Man I could have cried seeing him again. Stupid lines he had.... "What happened, did Michael kill again?" Gee...I wonder what happened..... Ugh
The only other thing I like about the movie, was the scene of Michael killing the couple at the beginning. Man.... F'ed up, simple, not over the top, great shot, suspenseful. Intense.
For few reasons I give the movie a 3.0
Man these new movies have been so underwhelming. Kills is so bad it made 2018 look so better. Elevated to another lever or two.
I'm sure Ends will be just as bad. Man if I could, I'd take the risk, and trade in this new trilogy, for Returns and see where they would have gone.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022)
SHOCKED I DIDN'T LIKE PART 2
I really liked Sonic, so I thought of would, either like Sonic 2 just as much. If not more.
But, I wasn't feeling it, I want to fast forward, & turn it off
It's too long, way too long.
There's many scene that just.... Feel unnecessary.
There's characters in the movie that feel unnecessary, and they are in the movie way more than they should be pointless stuff in this movie.
The story is not good
It's too family friendly, so comes off corny and lame, which is what I thought would be the case for the first film, but that movie had the perfect balance. Really felt like it was for everyone. I didn't get that with sonic 2
I didn't even find Jim funny. Or least not nearly as much as I did with the first movie.
3.0.
Halloween II (1981)
Randomly Grew On Me!
When someone first told me, Halloween 2 takes place in a Hospital. I thought wow! That's gotta be scary! I gotta watch it!
On my first watch, I was so bored and let down.
But early this year. I watched it again, in a long time and.... All of a sudden I loved it.
Love that it has a much similar vibe and tone as the first, which I don't think I appreciated at first, being too distracted with how bored I was. As well has the same locations. I just had fun with the story all of a sudden. So strange. I even just threw it on, to listen to in the background. Once. It's so good now to me.
Still a little bit slow.
I still not a big fan Michael's look or Warlock's overall portrayal. But not terrible either, least he's the right size, and keeping it simple enough. Unlike some of the sequels.
7.6.
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)
THE MTV HALLOWEEN
I know it's a fan favorite
But I just can't get into it. The Vibe is too much the "MTV" of the series
I do not like Michaels Look
I do not like how Michael moves
I don't even like the kills. I don't think these one kill in this movie, that I like. A thumb to the forehead? Lame
Michael sitting in a rocking chair, holding a shotgun, stand up and spears a girl to a door with the shotgun.... Seriously? Too much
The Brady kill was lame
Oh, yeah. The Bucky kill. Michael tossing a dude up in the air alone, is so bad
I don't like that all of a sudden I have several new chapters thrown at me. Like I don't care about Rachel, Jamie, Beady, New Sheriff, or this love triangle, sister drama.
Michael's death is so bad
There's just next to nothing about this movie that I like.
The open cretin shots are nice!
Loomis in the beginning is good. He's good in the whole movie, but especially in the beginning.
So I'm giving it a 6.0
Because it's not a bad movie at all. It's shot well, actors are fine. Decent story.
It's just not a good Halloween movie too me. Almost all I don't want in a Halloween movie. I don't want my Halloween to look over produced. I don't want my Michael to look like he got a costume from a dollar store. I don't want my Halloween to have over the top kills. Simple and grounded.
It's just not for me. I can see why, fans love it though. Just too 80's MTV vibe. Just too much for me.
The Black Phone (2021)
GOOD, BUT UNDERWHELMING
It's not Bad
But, really... Not much happens when its all said and done. Also ends shortly it starts getting good, and it takes a while to get going. I was getting bored. Almost frustrated, felt like the movie was half way over, and... Nothing really going on, & I was expecting more than that.
Its also underwhelming, because.... Its nothing I haven't seen before.
Its like they took a little bit from IT, Took a some from Stranger Things, sprinkled some Sinister in there, mixed it up, and you have Black phone. The things is, all those movie's do it way better.
Shame, could have been something much better. Worth a watch. Its solid, and worth giving it back try. I'll never watch it again personally.
6.5.
The Batman (2022)
THE BATMOBILE PUT A SssMILE ON MY FACE
May Be My Favorite Batman Movie.
God I love the Tone, the mood, the vibe. Mmm so good.
I love Batman. I'm still not sure, as a movie. Which is my favorite, but when it comes to Batman himself. He's my favorite version of Batman, in this movie. No question.
I love the detective work. Can step it up a bit for the sequel. I HOPE. Wish we got a bit more of it, but I'll take it!
I love that Batmobile. I didn't think I would. But for whatever reason, that scene just puts a smile on my face, I can't help it.
Riddler is a 9.5 so good! And creepy!
Catwoman is badass. Love that it's a black Catwoman. That's how I prefer the character for some reason. And her fighting was awesome she can kick ass She's fast!
My favorite Gordon so far. Felt closes to feeling like a Gordon to me. Loved him.
I think the ending is so cool.
The score! Maaaan! It's gotta be my favorite, I've felt felt that way when hearing the score in a movie before.
I think it is just a bit to long
I don't like the Mayor. Angle, I want the mayor to be corrupt by some dude who you just want Batman to pound into the ground. Or hang over from top of a building, by his ankles, like in Arkham city. Not that nice lady running. That's not interesting.
& Of course you gotta throw in that white privilege line, it's so throw away, why even bother putting in? Besides the obvious. So that I didnt like
& I don't know how I feel about the Dropheads. When whatever that club scene, A part of me was like...kinda cool. Yet feeling it's kinda lame at the same time.
8.7!
Can't wait for the sequel.
Uncharted (2022)
NOT TRUE TO UNCHARTED
As an Uncharted movie...No.
Terrible Nate, Terrible Sully, Terrible Chloe, the vide & Tone, is not even close.
Half a** & rushed of all the Uncharted adventures, blended into one story Which i terrible.
How there no Elena, or even a end credit Tease of her.... I'll never know, unless I missed it.
But as a movie in general, sure, it's fine, a cute adventure, popcorn movie.
It's so strange though. Speaking of it not being True to Uncharted, It not feeling like Uncharted. Besides one scene! The flash back scene to when Nate & Sam were kids. Wow! How they got that right, but not the rest of the movie..I have no idea. From the looks of the Actors, facial expressions, cadence of the way the talked, the set, the tone & vibe. All damn near dead on.
7.0 on it's own
2.0 as an Uncharted movie
I usually don't like doing that with movies, I'm usually like who cares about looking at it from certain views. Either it sucks, good, or awesome, but this is one of those exceptions.
The Dark Knight (2008)
MAYBE THE BEST PERFORMANCE EVER
When the Joker is not on the screen, I'm not really interested, to be honest.
Bruce & Dent wanting
Rachel to pick them, love triangle stuff, just am not interested in.
I'm not feeling Two Face
I'm not sure why that is, but I feel he's boring? I dunno...just something about him...dont know if it's the actor, the story, or Joker is just too good that I just don't care. Maybe combo? Not sure, but...
I don't even like The look of Gotham. It's way too realistic for me. Doesn't feel like Gotham at all.
I'm just like let's get back to Joker please! Cause when he's on....oh my gosh. How brilliant that Performance is. It's gotta be the best I've ever seen. It's hard for me, to think of a better one. He's so incredible. I wanna give the movie a 10 or 100 just based on Joker alone, I've seem so many say, people only love the Joker in this movie, because of Heath Ledgers Died...for a a long time, I thought, i wouldn't be surprised if that's true, but BS!... how anybody can watch that man. Work, & say it's only cause he died...i'll never know. However, as a movie.... outside of joker, it's shot well!....that's probably the only other thing, I like about the movie.
Dont get me wrong, it's not bad. Just a lot of things about the movie, don't work for me. Big different between it being bad, and I'm just not into it. I just gotta be honest.
8.0.
