Horrible
1 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I've been enjoying this series up until this episode. Gordon was working very hard to make Ashley's birthday special, but all her friends were unbelievable a$$holes. They looked down on the ale, the food and treated Gordon horribly, as did Ashley. It was extremely uncharacteristic of the Ashley that had been presented previously. Not only were her friends all jerks, but they were unreasonable and were acting like a bunch of children. What group of late 20/30 somethings goes around destroying a business establishment and then acting like indignant when they are told to leave.? I've seen groups of 4-year olds be more polite and behave better. It seemed totally unrealistic. Then they all acted as though Gordon was the one who was out of line.

I truly hated this episode.

Men in Trees (2006–2008)

Awesome Show

I love this show.

Men in trees is an unassuming show that portrays ordinary life in a rural Alaskan town. While the filming location is British Columbia rather than Alaska, the backdrop is nonetheless stunning.

It is a bright, charming, show that introduces an assorted collection of multifaceted characters who are witty, endearing, amusing, and authentic. A few of them might be considered to be a little eccentric, but each of them becomes increasingly well-developed as the series progresses.

As is in real life, they each have their own strengths, weaknesses, and difficulties to overcome.

The writing and dialogue are excellent and the relationships and interactions between characters is engaging and believable.

You get everything with this show- friendships, romance, drama, adventure, comedy, and heartbreak.

I wish I had discovered this show prior to its cancellation.

The Lake (2022– )

Loved it . . . for about 3.5 episodes
12 July 2022
It started out quirky, funny, and promising. I love the first few episodes. The setting is great and the characters were likable. Then it started sliding downhill at warp speed. I'm halfway through episode 7, "Trust Issues," and I'm done. I literally can't even finish it. It has become beyond ridiculous. I no longer find any of the characters at all relatable or likable. I only gave it 2 stars because of the few good episodes. Now I'd rather watch paint dry.

Great except

I am enjoying everything about the show with the exception of the camera angles. A little would be okay b but, for some of us with ear/balance/vertigo issues, it's just too much. I can only watch about 15 minutes before feeling nauseous and then I just listen for a while before trying to watch again.

I used to love this show
20 May 2022
I adore Ted Danson and Holly Hunter but, if the powers that be keep the Titi B character, I'm done. Most shows have a moderately annoying character that you come to like or, at least find amusing, but this character is over the top. I'd take Fran Drescher, Rosie Perez or, Maggie Wheeler over her.👎🏻

1883 (2021–2022)

It started out good
10 March 2022
And I had high hopes. It started as a story about a family and a group of people facing the challenges of trying to get to Oregon, but just as like Yellowstone turned into a story about the annoying Beth, 1883 turned into a story revolving around a single annoying character, (Elsa.) And then, Taylor Sheridan decided he had to turn her into some sort of hero. Hollywood seems not to know the difference between a strong female and a negative, self-absorbed, b!*ch. I initially hoped there would be a second season, but now I'm just glad it's over..

2 things to the writers
12 February 2022
1. Have Love take about 40% off there. She can't keep bodies piling up at this pace. It's already becoming fairly hard to believe.

2. Please find a way to frame Sherri for some of this. I can't stand her. I don't think she should be killed, but if you're not going to make her suffer, I'd settle for her being murdered.

Who is this disgusting Miranda
17 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Look, if Miranda is questioning/exploring her sexuality, fine. I do, however have a problem with Miranda as a mother continuing to masturbate while talking to her young adult son through the door. It does not seem true to her character or to reality. Most mothers I know would not be able to remain aroused at that point. The character of Miranda took her motherhood really seriously. I found the whole scene to be, well, gross.

Keen is finally leaving.
9 July 2021
I'm so pleased about this. She adds nothing to the show. It would be hard to believe that she graduated high school let alone has the intellect to become a psychological profiler for the FBI. She misjudges every person and situation and, regardless of what emotion she is attempting to convey she employs the same knitted brow and whisper. I don't know if she's trying to be sexy or dramatic but it is nothing but annoying.

The story is good and the other actors are fantastic. The show will be even better.

It's hard to believe most of these characters graduated high school
4 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This could be a very good show, if not for the fact that most of the characters can not complete a full sentence without pausing, stuttering, stammering, winding off topic, then finally finishing the thought and then repeating it, sometimes more than once. Also, virtually every character, including guest stars react the same way when faced with a devastating situation. In the episode "Freedom: Part 1, a young couple are both being treated for cancer. When the young man dies, his girlfriend reacts by repeatedly crying out, "Don't say anything to me. Don't say anything to me." When Callie built legs for a patient who died, she kept yelling, "I made his legs, I made his legs, I made his legs!" These are only two examples of many. Shonda Rhimes must think that all people have the same reaction to grief/heartbreak/devastation because it is the response she uses so often. I find most of the characters to be self-absorbed, hypocritical, and egotistical. This is especially true of Meredith who I perceive as completely narcissistic, unbearably whiny, and her "cute" stammering, nervousness is incredibly annoying.

Loved it
23 December 2007
Although I have read all of the reviews panning this film because it follows the same "formula" as the original and that Justin Bartha's character spouts the "same tired humor," I loved the movie. I thought that all of the actors brought more depth to their characters than they did in the first movie.

I adore Justin Bartha's deadpan humor and thought that Nicolas Cage, Jon Voight and Harvey Keitel did an incredible job. The additions of Ed Harris and Helen Mirren brought a new dynamic to the film and I really enjoyed learning about the relationship between Jon Voight an Helen Mirren's characters. I thought the plot was intriguing, the dialogue was stimulating and the action exciting.

I will definitely buy it when it comes out on DVD
