Wander Over Yonder: The Wanders/The Axe (2015)
Both episodes are incredible and heartwarming.
The Wanders: The episode begins with Wander and Sylvia helping a little squirrel to take her to her family in a tree. The little squirrel enters a mysterious cave. Sylvia warns Wander not to go in but since we already know Wander; he cannot avoid the temptation to always do good no matter what. Wander enters the cave and finds thousands of his reflections in the cave crystals, however he would not realize that this would only cause all his reflections to come out of there stepping on Sylvia. Sylvia realizes that all of Wander's personalities shot out of the cave and are now scattered across the planet. Sylvia does her best to save her friend. At first she thinks it is impossible but she, knowing all the personalities of her friend, decides to get hold of him. This is how Sylvia manages to make all the personalities enter the cave and join Wander apparently with a normal Wander. However Sylvia notices that something is not right not only with Wander but that all his other reflections are still in the cave. Sylvia searches and finds a little Wander who feels lonely and scared by everything, but Sylvia helps him. She takes little Wander with the original Wander and this is how every part of Wander returns to its original self with Wander shedding a tear. In the end Wander and Sylvia block the cave so that no one else enters and the same thing happens to him as Wander and Sylvia ends up saying that is my favorite part of you. This episode gives us a valuable lesson to accept each part of us since that makes us special, unique and makes us who we are.
Now with the next episode. The next episode focuses more primarily on the antagonists of the series; Lord Hater and Peepers being this the first episode in which neither Wander nor Sylvia appear.
The Axe: The episode begins with Lord Hater angry as another villain; being Evil Sandwich, he had stolen one of his planets. Lord Hater thinks that Peepers is the one to blame for all this so he decides to fire him. Commander Peepers feels worried and is well since he knows that Lord Hater will not be able to achieve anything without him until he realizes that Lord Hater can easily conquer planets without him. After a sad scene with a sentimental soundtrack about Peepers retiring from his job, Evil Sandwich comes to claim Lord Hater for his planets and tells him how incompetent he can do nothing right without Peepers' help. Lord Hater chases Peepers in a space taxi trying to apologize to him and telling him that he needs him back. This is how Peepers returns giving his lesson to Evil Sandwich. The episode ends with Lord Hater making a statue of Peepers next to him with Peepers hugging him and Hater saying don't make me fire you again
I must say that both episodes are very good although if I would choose my favorite it would be; The Wanders which is one of my favorite episodes of the series. That doesn't mean The Axe isn't amazing though, because it is.
Wander Over Yonder: My Fair Hatey (2016)
My Fair Hatey
Galaxia Wander has always been one of my favorite series from my childhood; I loved their animation, their characters, their songs, everything in this series was great. And this episode shows just how great this series can be. The episode begins with Don Odión apparently wanting to destroy our dear furry friend; Wander, until it is shown that I only help him to ask for his help. Hate knows that Wander knows a lot of cheesy things about love, romance and all that, so he asks for his help. Wander obviously and for many reasons decides to help him while explaining to him with a rather catchy song called: Ask Her a Question. Meanwhile, Sylvia realizes that she too was captured and meets Peepers who tells her that he is forming a plan to stop Dominador once and for all. Sylvia and Peepers decide to team up to stop her while singing a song called: That's How We'll Get Her. Both duos go to Dominador's ship and prepare. Hate, Wander and the other Furyguards prepare to sing to Dominador my favorite song: You're the greatest, while Sylvia and Peepers follow their plan. However, it is revealed that Dominador never heard the song of Odion and this is how it is with an epic and memorable song; I'm The Bad Guy Reveals His True Intentions; capture each of the villains of the galaxy and continue with their plans of planetary destruction; where each of the characters are surprised, especially Don Odión who's heart was shattered. Wander and Odion are locked up by Dominador. Wander tries to cheer up Odión with his banjo with a sentimental song with the title of the episode; My Fair Hatey. Wander manages to encourage Odion so much that he follows his hate genes and chases Wander that he even meets Sylvia and Peepers who succeed in his plan and they all try to escape before Dominator's ship is totally frozen. The protagonists manage to escape, however in an unexpected plot twist, Dominador's ship restarts revealing that he can not only control the lava but the ice itself. The protagonists feel discouraged but not without finishing the episode singing one last song to each other saying how great each one is with the song; You're the greatest with Dominador interrupting them and ending the episode. I really just realized why most fans consider this episode to be the best in the whole series; it's well written, the songs are catchy and memorable and it really helps in the story arc.
Looney Tunes Cartoons (2019)
THE CLASSIC LOONEY TUNES ARE BACK
I must say that unlike Wabbit / New Looney Tunes, this is a much better version and remains 100% true to the classics. I love that they brought back all of our favorite characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Yosemite Sam, Wile E. Coyote, Roadrunner and all the other characters that have always made generations laugh. I love his amazing new animation, it has that classic, fluid touch and can really get quite creative with his plots. I also really like his running gags; FREAKING FUNNY. The best modern Looney Tunes series without a doubt. Highly recommended for older generations.
The Looney Tunes Show (2011)
A classic and memorable sitcom of the Looney Tunes.
Always love the Looney Tunes. Its animation, its characters, its plots. This show, despite not being exactly faithful to the classics, can mostly be decent and great. I don't know how, but there is something that I love about this series. It is experimental. I really loved his two seasons. How sad that it has not continued with more episodes.
Wabbit: A Looney Tunes Production (2015)
Meh...
I've always been a huge Looney Tunes fan. I love his humor, his slapstick, and his memorable characters. I was always a fan of classic shorts that always made me laugh at the looney tunes jokes. I was excited to see that they would do The Looney Tunes Show which in my opinion was pretty decent. I wish the series had continued with more seasons. This is how in 2015 I realized that they would premiere a new series based on The Looney Tunes called Wabbit. I didn't know what to think, if it was going to be good or was it just going to be average or mediocre. Admittedly, the series has that classic looney tunes feel to it and the characters are still personable as ever. Regarding the animation, I don't think it's as bad as many say, in my point of view the animation is quite good even though it is not so flashy. I really liked the first episodes of the first season by bringing back Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam, Wile E. Coyote, The Tazmanian Devil, Foghorn Leghorn, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig. Strangely I only have one problem and that is that despite everything, the art style and the character designs do not fit in the series. At least I think the series improved a bit in season two by bringing most of the classic Warner Bros. Characters into the series.
So it really gives that classic feel to the show, even though I wasn't really comfortable with some things yet. I could still say that the series is meh. It is not exactly bad and of course it may not look like the classic looney tunes because you can feel uncomfortable from time to time with the character designs, but it can still be decently fun.
Get Blake! (2015)
It's a guilty pleasure of mine
I remember in 2015 I saw a promo for this series and it reminded me of many of my favorite series like Camp Lakebottom and Wander Over Yonder for their character designs.
At first glance this series seems quite funny and quite good ... but sadly it is not, since although the animation looks good, the biggest problem is the main plot of the series.
Yes, let's move on to the main story of the series.
This story focuses on Blake Myers, a young 13-year-old boy who is adventurous, brave and knows all kinds of skills and tricks like Parkour. His best friend is Mitch de la Cruz, a chubby dark boy. Both boys like to do all kinds of things that any kid at that age would do: playing, training, and having fun together. What they had no idea is that Blake in the future will become a kind of space ranger that protects the world from alien threats. Up to this point the plot could work but sadly it also sounds pretty pathetic upon meeting its antagonists, who happen to be ... Alien Squirrels from the future? ... Ok, listen up, the clichéd plot of aliens wanting to conquer the world is fine but Seriously? Alien squirrels ... Who in this world would create such pathetic stereotypes of villains? I mean that the creator has worked on series like Phineas and Ferb and Dr. Heinz Doof is an example of a pathetic villain, but he is a pathetic villain that does make sense in the story and at the same time is comical and it works. But why on earth would squirrel-shaped aliens be a good idea to be villains?
Anyway, three of these alien squirrels known as The Squaliens are sent back to the past with an important mission: Get Blake and prevent him from fulfilling his goal of being a space ranger.
At first glance you might think that the series contains a lot of action and comedy and from time to time it works. But sadly the plots of the episodes are not so original and it relies too much on doing all kinds of clichéd plots like:
An episode about being shrunken, an episode about switching bodies, an episode about traveling back in time to the prehistoric times, or an episode where you are turned into an old man.
I have noticed that many of its plots are only taken from other children shows:
And to top it all off many of the episode developments make absolutely no sense at all: for example, in the "Get Inked" episode, the Squaliens happen to switch bodies to Blake and Mitch with an octopus and a penguin, which is absurd and it doesn't make any sense.
I find it sad that this series would not have been so good.
However, I must admit that there was a time when I liked to watch this series.
The series would have been better if they had been more original, with more sense and with less absurd aspects.
Wander Over Yonder (2013)
One of the best cartoons of all time
One thing I love to see in cartoons is that they make an effort to be 100% enjoyable. But this cartoon is no exception. Wander Over Yonder is one of those cartoons that I'm sure will remind you of cartoons from the golden age of animation like Hannah Barbera and Warner Bros. Animation. This cartoon has it all, a colorful, attractive, fluid and simple animation. Adventure, impressive and entertaining plots. Silly jokes that remind you of Looney Tunes and incredible creativity everywhere, from the backgrounds, the character designs and even the episodes can be creative (See the Void for example)
Wander Over Yonder is simply an awesome cartoon.
Now let's talk about the characters; Wander is my favorite character for simple reasons; He is very nice, friendly, kind, he likes to do good, he likes to see good in everything (even in the most evil and selfish people) and it is very funny that with all his witticisms and antics he will make you remember Bugs Bunny.
Sylvia is another one of my favorite characters and she proves not only to be Wander's steed, but his best friend. There is one thing that I really like about the chemistry between Wander and Sylvia and that is that they both learn something new about each other in every adventure they go through; Wander is crazy, curious and does his best to do good, Sylvia on the other hand is safe, rude and wants to do things in a somewhat violent way.
Wander teaches Sylvia that not everything has to be done with violence and that you don't always have to be rude to others despite everything they do to you and Wander from time to time also learns a little from Sylvia. Their friendship is something that I value very much.
Now let's go with the antagonists that I am sure and without a doubt are the best characters in the series:
Lord Hater is simply a fantastic villain and everything he does I'm sure will make you laugh. From time to time, Lord Hater acts like a clumsy child, but most of the time he can be terrifying and incredible, especially with his powers.
Commander Peepers also counts as the right hand of Lord Hater and because he is so short he makes you think that he is funny and cute at the same time (the same I say for the Watchdogs). His voice is also funny, besides being played by one of my favorite actors; Tom Kenny. (SpongeBob's voice).
Now that I talk about the protagonists, let's talk about the episodes: oh yes, this series has a bit of everything and they do it in an incredible way, especially with their creativity.
Writers and animators can manage to give us many moments of healthy fun and creativity.
They can get by by making a full episode being a catchy, colorful musical (My Fair Hatey), an epic action-packed and suspenseful episode (The Battle Royale), and an epic Season finale (The End of the Galaxy). As for the regular episodes, they can give us sentimental moments (As in The Axe, The Black Cube, The Bot, The Flower and The Wanders for example) and give us many funny moments in most of the episodes and the best thing is that of From time to time it can teach you something like learning to treat people well and help them, to see the good in others, to have fun with your friends and many valuable lessons.
Many of these factors is what makes this series so special and unique.
I must say that Craig McCracken is a legendary animator and everything he does, he does for everyone ie: colorful characters, action-packed storylines and adventure, and many valuable lessons that adults can appreciate.
My final verdict: this cartoon is amazing. I think I already said a lot about this series and I really recommend it.
