The line between acting and reality blurs
I enjoyed this psychological suspense movie and the portrayel of the complexities of the main characters. In the movie they are actors, but where their acting begin and real life start is all too blurry. The story is set up well but the run time could have been a bit longer. Thje chemistry between the two leads is phenomenal yet it needed more buildup. At the end it left me with a feeling of unease and I think that's where the success of the movie lies. The acting of the two leads were extremely convincing and I hope the movie gets more appreciation.

Not so Dystopian
The series depicts a dystopian version of Korea where the rich and the powerful manipulates the masses for their own benifit. Democracy and justice have become tools of manipulation of the said rich and powerful. In this context rises a "Devil Judge" who through the power of live court and public opinion serves justice.
The premise of the series is intriguing and captivating. It is a court room drama that spills beyond the court. It shows a 'dystopian' reality which is not so dystopian. The absolute collapse of the 'system' and leaders as manipulators are nothing uncommon in our world. Hence it will animate the viewers imagination in finding real life parallels.
Production is impecabble. The sets, costume, lighting all support the script. Cinematography and the visuals of the dystopian Korea is impactful. Specially the long shots of the city and the car scenes. OSTs are orginal score that would need a separate review of its own. They are fitting and gets the message through.
Acting of the lead and support casts are supreme. Specially Ji Sung playing the role of Kang Yo Han (the devil judge) is masterful. Each and every gesture he makes conveys some truth about the character or situation. Kim Min Jung in the role of Sun Ah is also worth mentioning. She has portrayed a villian with which one will also sympathise at times.
This drama captivated me and I was feeling all sorts of emotions raning from anger to happiness while it aired. I highly recommend it.
