Love movies, mysteries, westerns, intelligence/police/spy type, historical, some documentaries, even Christmas flicks during the season and the occasional comedy depending on if it's funny vs. lame.
I watch movies because I want to be entertained, I'm not watching them because they have any socially redeeming value.
Big fan of Gale O'Grady, Audie Murphy, Kris Kristofferson and numerous others...even some of the more liberal ones. Hate their politics but can overcome some of that because their movies are the type I enjoy....so I lower my standards a bit to accommodate what I like.

A Christmas Visitor (2002)
Goof
Another typical Christmas movie...
I would like to point out an obvious goof that hasn't been identified.
When Devane goes to the basement or garage...I forget which, he goes to a box and pulls out a medal in its case. The medal is the Distinguished Service Medal. The ribbon above the medal is NOT the ribbon for this medal. The ribbon closely resembles the ribbon for the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal! That's a significant screw up given this medal is the #2 medal for heroism....very poor prop planning seems to me. If you're going to include military items in a movie you should hire someone who has the knowledge to ensure you don't embarrass yourself and our country. I almost choked when I saw that ribbon laying there above the medal. It was so out of place.
The Man Who Saved Christmas (2002)
Another Goof
The movie was fine and enough has been said that I can't provide anything new. However, there was another goof not identified. Near the end of the movie where the Marine sentries can be seen, they are wearing chevrons that include the crossed rifles...the crossed rifles are obtained when the Marine is promoted to Lance Corporal...these didn't come into being until about 1959! Also, one Marine was wearing a white hat with a black EG&A emblem...I don't believe the black emblem was authorized with the dress blues, rather a gold one was. That was WWI, so I could be wrong, but I'd challenge it. I could probably challenge the ribbons but would need to see them in more detail...but first guess is they might be inaccurate or incomplete.
