The Flash (2023)
Really enjoyed it, however DC made some misses here!
The movie was really good! I mean the story, acting, characters and everything! I do think Ezra Miller could have done a better job with the crying scenes but regardless he performed really well!
So the first thing I'd like to put out is how great the comedic elements were! Especially with both the Barry characters, they nailed it! So good man, they really timed it well even in the action scenes. Batman was shown in a light mood for the first time, I think that went well for me too. The story was quite well put out, Michael Keaton was great as Batman, a little skeptical about Sasha Calle, would go as far as to say, her character was a bit unnecessary, but i guess a Super was needed to face Zod.
I really appreciated the fact that they presented real danger. As in danger of death, and showed it aswell, because that makes the story alot more powerful. Especially when the ending isn't ending all happy go lucky, and positive for the main character. When the main character compromises to achieve an outcome, it just builds a better connection with the audience I believe, they feel the character's struggle.
A little about the misses now. I don't get why Supergirl came back after Zod saw her the first time. She literally let Zod kill a couple hundred people for no reason. Secondly, the cameos, they missed the most important ones. Why was there no Cyborg? No Val Kilmer? No Joker cameos? Would have really loved if they somehow got characters from the Nolan verse to do cameos but oh well.
Finally, they had the stage set for a sequel's premise, but there was no indication of any. I mean, why was the end credits scene wasted like that. I would have really enjoyed it if they had it going somewhere, but it was just a scene.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)
I enjoyed it but it still disappointed
I loved the satire and comedy scenes of the movie, the timing and acting was just great, as was expected of a cast like this. The story was good too, and after watching the last couple disappointing ones from Marvel i was hoping for better. However, they didn't improve on some things.
First of all, what was the point of Adam Warlock. I literally did not get his characters point in this movie. The omni-potent Adam Warlock who was literally a God in the comics, was passed out half the film because of an explosion, and by the end of the film, had forgotten his mother was killed by the antagonist.
Secondly, Rocket's friends were very irrelevant for the story line. I would have felt a lot more emotional if they had been given a story, but nothing. They just called Rocket 'friend' so we should feel sorry for them. Have you seen 'The Boys'? You know why the audience feels for Billy and his wife? Because they gave the audience something to connect to.
I got alot of other things to say but let's just keep this shorter than it should be. Anyways, I did enjoy the movie and i'm looking forward to future Marvel movies, just not expecting Kang Dynasty to have even nearly the same level as Endgame.
Ms. Marvel (2022)
Inaccurate Pakistani culture portrayal, weak research and scriptwriting
I've been a Marvel fan since the very first Marvel vs Capcom games came out in the late 90's. I've been following comics, animated tv shows and whatnot.
This show is probably the first ever that happened to be disappointing to the core of it. I mean the research of Pakistani culture is weak. I am a Pakistani myself, there was absolutely nothing in this show that was near what Pakistanis are like today. Especially when the dad came in room dressed up as Hulk and went 'Chak de Phatte', i just facepalmed through my face.
That being just one of the reasons why this show was disappointing. Another reason was the plot, so so bad. I mean the main antagonist wasn't a real threat, it seemed like a family oriented drama show, aunties jealous of another. Forced character for Fawad Khan, absolutely bollocks backstory for Mehwish Hayat's character. I just didn't understand what was what.
I feel it was poor direction and poor script.
Deewane Huye Paagal (2005)
So Underrated!
The point of me writing this review is to state that sometimes movies are nonsense and larger than life, but that's their point anyways. In the 2000's most Akshay Kumar starrers were similar to this one. However, this seemed to be so over the top i still laugh when I watch it. Everytime that stupid background noise comes in when Akshay Kumar appears, I love it.
Sunil Shetty's Paraplegic character, Paresh Rawal's dumbness, even Shahid Kapoor with his lover boy antics. It's such a crazy mix, especially for those that saw this movie in their teenage years, absolutely madness i'll say.
The only thing i found unnecessary and annoying was Vivek Oberoi's cut scenes. Otherwise an absolute masterpiece this movie is!
