Fantasy Island (2021)
Fantasy Island stories featuring women as the main characters must be showcased.
I understand now. Some fans of the 1978 Fantasy Island show from Generation X might feel let down by the absence of Mr. Roarke and Tattoo in the 2021 TV Show re-boot. I agree with TV show reviewers who discuss the positive changes in the 21st century, such as advancements in women's rights and diversity in media and society. The show's producers shared the same sentiment and were left with no alternative in Hollywood. Fantasy Island stories featuring women as the main characters must be showcased. The Fantasy Island narratives from the 1970s and 1980s delved into complex themes such as family dynamics, aspiration for more, overcoming illnesses, and seeking temporary escape from reality. The cast, directors, scene coordinators, and custom designer all perfectly match the vision for the 2021 TV show re-boot. Kudos for rekindling memories for Generation X fans and bringing a touch of fantasy to their children, part of the Zillennials generation that includes Generation Z and Millennials. I'll be watching season 2 after completing season 1. It is my hope that a season 3 will be scheduled for 2025. The 1978 original show lasted for 8 seasons.
The Golden Bachelorette (2024)
Joan Vassos departed from the Golden Bachelor show due to a sudden family emergency
What's interesting about this show is that Joan Vassos departed from the Golden Bachelor show due to a sudden family emergency. Her family was her top priority over the show. Gary and Joan were considered the perfect match by most fans until she left the show prematurely. She's the first-ever Golden Bachelorette and she embodies it with her energetic, kind, genuine, and giving personality. She is exceptional at caring for herself and her family, and now she deserves a chance at finding love in her golden years. I've seen two episodes of this incredible show on Amazon Prime and it's amazing. I'm excited to finish episodes 3 and 4 before episode 5 is released on October 16th, 2024.
FUBAR (2023)
If you're a GenX father with a Zillennial daughter, this show is for you
If you happen to be a father from Generation X with a Zillennial daughter, this TV show on Netflix is truly remarkable. The interactions between the father and daughter in this series are brilliantly depicted in the writer's script. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro have undoubtedly infused their real-life family experiences into the fabric of this show. The basis of this review is the first season, as the second season is currently being produced. The action sequences were highly convincing throughout the majority of this plot. Noteworthy actors such as Fortune Feimster, Milan Carter, and Travis Van Winkle brought a lively and stylish presence. The show is expertly crafted, with exceptional production, writing, and cinematography that particularly stands out in the fight scenes. It is well worth your time to watch all eight episodes in season 1.
Hit Man (2023)
The movie was truly exceptional. True events inspire this narrative.
The movie was truly exceptional. True events inspire this narrative, and I firmly uphold the notion of personal growth and adapting one's persona to align with their desired life path. The statement by Shakespeare, "The world is like a stage where each of us has a part to play," is so true. This movie script and the actors totally capture what Gary Johnson was trying to teach his students and everyone he knew. There are some really awful folks and some amazing ones you will interact with in your life span. Gary, a professor who does some side work for the police, gets into some sketchy stuff when he falls for a woman who hires him. The film offers an abundance of thrills and excitement that will undoubtedly captivate and engage you. The cinematography, sound effects, action scenes, and film locations were skillfully crafted to create a remarkably authentic experience. Glen Powell is one of my favorite actors of the 21st century. His skill in effortlessly portraying different costumes and dialects to disguise himself for each encounter was nothing short of brilliant. Job well done to the director, writers and stars in the amazing film. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Captain EO (1986)
One of my favorite Michael Jackson songs became "Another Part of Me".
One of my most cherished memories of Michael Jackson is the time I visited Disneyland with fellow members of my fraternity and sorority sisters at the University of Southern California. The first thing we wanted to check out was the 1986 grand opening of the new Disney ride and attraction called Captain EO with Michael Jackson. Captain EO is a science fiction short film that was produced in 1986 and was exhibited at Disney theme parks from 1986 to 1998. Francis Ford Coppola directed the film, with Michael Jackson in the lead role. The movie was presented as an attraction featuring in-theater 3D effects. After the passing of Jackson, the attraction was brought back to the Disney Parks in 2010 as a tribute. The film made its final appearance at Epcot on December 6, 2015. In the film, Captain EO and his crew have to deliver a gift to The Supreme Leader on a really messed up planet. Captain EO's alien crew includes a little flying cat named Fuzzball, the double-headed navigator and pilot Idy and Ody, the robotic security officer Major Domo, and the clumsy elephant-like shipmate Hooter, who always messes up the crew's missions. Once they landed on the planet, the crew got caught by the Supreme Leader's henchmen and brought to her. The crew gets turned into trash cans, and poor Captain EO gets stuck in her dungeon for 100 years. Captain EO tells the Supreme Leader that he sees her beauty and he's got the key to unlock it: his song, "We Are Here to Change the World". The celebration goes wild with "Another Part of Me" playing, as Captain EO and his crew triumphantly leave and fly into space, ending the film. The action on the screen spilled into the crowd, with asteroids, lasers, smoke effects, and star fields that filled the theater. Because of these effects, the seventeen-minute film ended up costing millions to make. After going to the grand opening of this famous Disneyland attraction ride, one of my favorite Michael Jackson songs became "Another Part of Me".
Heart of Stone (2023)
It's worth checking out on the weekends when you have nothing better to do
Gal Gadot is this awesome Israeli actress and model. She was born in Petah Tikva, Israel, to a Jewish family who changed their name to sound less European (from 'Greenstein'). Everyone knows she's a sexy actress, but her characters are so reserved and proper, it's tough to watch as a movie lover and critic. All of her characters always act proper and reserved in public. That's why she might not win an Oscar for a while. Gotta admit, this movie had some Wonder Woman vibes with those killer action sequences. The movie's script is all about spies, action, crime, and thrills. Good news! This movie had all those elements. I love it when Gal Gadot's character actually shows depth and cares about others in the movie. It's worth checking out on the weekends when you have nothing better to do and need some cool action scenes to get you out of bed or off the couch for some quick weekend fun.
The Gray Man (2022)
The twist is that one of the assassins develops feelings for a family member
When the CIA's top agent stumbles upon some shady agency secrets, a crazy ex-colleague offers a $20 million USD reward to anyone who can take him down, triggering a worldwide chase by mercenaries from all over. The main justification for watching this film does not stem from the conflict between two individuals. The twist is that one of the assassins actually developed feelings for a family member in the dark secret agency. Before they're both destroyed, they need to protect the people they care about. Obviously, Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Billy Bob Thornton are absolutely insane in this film. They possess legendary status and demonstrate unparalleled expertise in their respective fields. However, the cinematography and action sequences featuring esteemed actors Ana de Armas, Dhanush, Alfre Woodard, and Jessica Henwick were undeniably exceptional and provided immense pleasure to the viewer. I was so into this movie, I was on the edge of my seat almost the whole time.
The Mother (2023)
Great Action and Thriller scenes with an awesome storyline.
I'm not sure why so many people are hating on this movie. Jennifer Lopez nails it once more in an action-packed thriller that gives you exactly what they said it would. A badass female assassin in the US Army who's now freelancing for cash. Like all mercenary stories, they have to make tough choices about money, family, and relationships because they think buying cool stuff is more important than traditional family values. The acting by Jennifer Lopez, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, and Yvonne Senat Jones was top-notch and totally convincing. The cinematography was top-notch and I loved the mountain scenes the most. Basically, this action thriller nailed what a good action movie should be. Action and Thriller scenes with an awesome storyline.
Back to the Future (1985)
Who wouldn't want to go back in time and witness their parents' teenage interactions in high school
In the summer of 1985, as I was entering my senior year of high school, life was fantastic. We would often go to the movies to watch films featuring actors our age who were experiencing the same challenges and experiences of growing up in high school during the 80s. Seriously, who wouldn't want to go back in time and witness their parents' teenage interactions in high school? The movie had a zany and out-of-the-box premise that revolved around time travel. The concept of exploring different time periods and the exciting adventures that awaited captivated both Generation X teenagers and their parents. The film fully engaging the audience in the nostalgic atmosphere of the 1950s. It displayed the iconic aspects of that time period, including music and fashion. The movie's combination of music, science fiction, humor, sentimental value, and themes of family made it a timeless masterpiece.
Only the Lonely (1991)
Is it likely for men who live with their mothers until 30 to make good husbands
That is the question most of us were asking when this movie was released in 1991. It coincided with the period when young adults from Generation X were getting married. Cultural norms and expectations play a significant role when a man and woman get married. It is common and widely accepted in certain cultures to live with one's parents until getting married. In countries such as the United States during the 1980s and 1990s, it was seen as a warning sign. Men who live independently and take responsibility for their own lives tend to be more mature and capable of handling marital responsibilities. Living with parents doesn't necessarily indicate immaturity, but it's essential to assess how self-sufficient and responsible they are. Individual circumstances vary, and it's essential to assess each person based on their unique qualities rather than making assumptions solely based on their living situation. Ultimately, a good husband is someone who respects, supports, and communicates openly with their partner. This is the reason why I adore this movie and find myself repeatedly watching it multiple times every year.
Downhill Racer (1969)
I'm looking for uplifting music, not suspenseful, for an Olympic sports film.
Here's what you need to know. I gave this movie a low rating because it lacked spirit and inspiration. I'm uncertain about the person responsible for the music, but they didn't meet expectations in 1969. I am comparing the passion depicted in the 1981 Olympic film Chariots of Fire and its exceptional musical score. The movie inspired both Olympic athletes and regular people to aspire to train for the Olympics. Gene Hackman's exceptional acting and a few thrilling ski scenes were the only moments that brought a touch of passion to this film. Kudos to the writers for creating a compelling storyline. Camilla Sparv's character was very realistic. The director consistently delivered their best, and the cinematography was outstanding. I'm looking for uplifting music, not suspenseful, for an Olympic sports film. The conflict among the players, coach, and the romantic subplot involving the main character were exceptionally well-executed. The conclusion could have been more impactful by incorporating the Olympic ceremonies.
Twisters (2024)
When I watch a movie sequel, I always look for how well the writers connect it to the original masterpiece.
When I watch a movie sequel, I always look for how well the writers connect it to the original masterpiece. Michael Crichton and Anne-Marie Martin originally wrote the Twisters 1996 film script. Creating a successful sequel or franchise in the Hollywood movie industry is a challenging task. In July 2020, Helen Hunt, known for her role in the 1996 film, approached Universal with her idea for a Twister sequel. She not only wanted to direct it but also star in it alongside Daveed Diggs. While her concept briefly entered the developmental stage, it was ultimately dismissed and canceled by the end of 2020. For years, Bill Paxton had been working on getting a sequel to Twister (1996) started. In the script, there was a connection to the original Twister movie from 1996 through Bill Paxton's son. James Paxton had a minor role as Cody in the film's rodeo scenes, which was a thoughtful nod from the writers and executive producer to the original Twister film from 1996. With the unfortunate passing of Bill Paxton in 2017, the writers faced the challenge of linking the protagonist, Bill Harding, to the development of the renowned tornado tracking system named Dorothy. The design was a vast concept by Dr. Jo Harding, portrayed by the lovely Helen Hunt, and Bill Paxton's character, Bill Harding. It would have been nice to have a family member connection with the Harding family. However, the Dorothy Tornado Tracker System in the movie was a clever homage, and at the Rodeo, Kate is seen wearing the same outfit as Jo Harding, played by Helen Hunt, in Twister (1996). The way the tie-back elements were incorporated into this amazing movie sequel made it special for me. The ensemble, the film locations, the excitement, the visual aesthetics, the audio, and the movie soundtrack were all fantastic. Similar to the original film, the writers found it necessary to incorporate a captivating love story to keep the audience invested in the purpose of tracking tornadoes and saving numerous lives in the tornado-prone region known as tornado alley in the United States. Oklahoma, located in the heart of Tornado Alley, has experienced numerous tornadoes over the years, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives and billions of dollars in damage. The chemistry and plot between Kate (played by Daisy Edger-Jones) and Tyler (played by Glen Powell) was truly captivating. Well done, team, on a fantastic job with the movie!
House of the Dragon (2022)
The entertainment in the second season of this show is absolutely fantastic.
The complexity of the House of the Dragon (Season 2) is truly remarkable. The HBOMAX series has consistently employed a talented group of writers for several years. Their brilliance is remarkable. From one week to the next, the scriptwriters have GoT fans guessing and pondering. In the second season, they reintroduced the renowned director and producer commentaries at the conclusion of each episode to clarify the complex relationships among the various families in the Game of Thrones universe. Based on my understanding, Team Black supports Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen as the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. On numerous occasions, King Viserys directly communicated to her his wish for her to become the next ruler, even before his demise. Sadly, Queen Dowager Alicent Hightower, who used to be her dearest childhood friend and is now her mother, cunningly manipulated the King into appointing Prince Aegon II as the successor to the throne upon his passing. In essence, the queen was speaking on behalf of the king, who was suffering from a terminal illness. He was unable to think for himself as he lay on his death-bed next to his wife, Queen Alicent. The Targaryen, Hightower, and Velaryon families are entangled in a complex and magnificent web, with brothers, sisters, and cousins marrying each other and having children together. The entertainment in the second season of this show is absolutely fantastic.
Brats (2024)
The Brat Pack label turned them into legends in the Hollywood industry
In terms of technical aspects, this documentary film can feel unpolished and inconsistent at times. The editor of this documentary struggled with the footage they received. The responsibility for that lies with Director Andrew McCarthy. Despite that, the music and video footage from the 1980s carry a deep sense of nostalgia for people from Generation X, just like me. Watching and reliving the past with my favorite actors and actresses from the golden age of the Brat Pack was an enjoyable experience. In all honesty, this documentary delves into the phenomenon of Generation X teenagers and young adults idolizing a group of actors and actresses known as the "Brat Pack," as highlighted in a New York magazine article written by David Blum. It has always been evident to me that this brand pays homage to the "Rat Pack" celebrity group, with Frank Sinatra serving as its designated president. Andrew McCarthy only understood the concept of this parity after it was explained to him by multiple figures in the Hollywood industry, including producers, film critics, writers, journalists, and book authors, from the 1980s. The term "Brat Pack" is a puberty and marriage rite of passage for Generation Xers. Between 1978 and 2000, a significant number of young adults in America, including myself, transitioned from a teenager into parenthood and became parents to the Millennial and Generation Z children. We were in high school when the Brat Pack rose to fame, then we entered college and coincided in age with the Brat Pack, and eventually got married just like the actors and actresses in the Brat Pack. As mentioned by Ally Sheedy and the other participants in this documentary, we all found a connection with the characters depicted in John Hughes' film scripts. Andrew poses the question to a few Brat Pack members, asking if they would switch their nominations in this celebrity status group, and a few of them are uncertain about what choice to make. Why? Because the "Brat Pack" label turned them into legends in the Hollywood industry, ensuring their amazing legacy for years to come.
You've Got Mail (1998)
Ironically, small independent bookstores were rapidly becoming unpopular in the 2000s too
The late 1990s saw a rapid transformation in the dating scene, as the internet had a significant impact on relationships and marriages. The internet swiftly became a detrimental force, resembling the black plague, in shaping the fate of relationships for Generate X. It's challenging to imagine the antiquated application interface that AOL users had to contend with, now that we're in the 21st century. It's amusing to think about the challenges we faced with the AOL platform for online dating. The internet spread like a disease across the western developed countries like hot butter over breakfast toast. In this movie script, the internet's effects on the innocent and not-so-innocent Generation X individuals were thoroughly explored, showcasing both the advantages and disadvantages. Ironically, small independent bookstores were rapidly becoming unpopular in the 2000s too. The beloved actors Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, known for their roles in Sleepless In Seattle, reunite in this heartwarming romantic comedy. Joe Fox, a successful owner of a large book superstore, and Kathleen Kelly, an independent book shop owner, discover love through the anonymity of the Internet, unaware that Joe is secretly trying to drive her out of business. This film is so incredible that we love watching it multiple times each year during various holiday family gatherings.
Sleepless in Seattle (1993)
Fairy tale romance was the essence of Generation X
Fairy tale romance was the essence of Generation X. By the time this movie hit the streets of Hollywood, we all were in our mid twenties thinking of marriage and having children. The Baby Boomer generation was exposed to numerous Hollywood romance films that often portrayed unrealistic relationships. All movies were censored by the government, and surprisingly, films from the 1920s to the 1970s were rated G. How can one create a strong romantic foundation for marriage with such a wholesome rating? It is not possible. Many romance movie scripts in the late 1980s and 1990s started to make movies more realistic like this movie. It is indeed possible to meet someone and instantly fall in love. What makes this film truly remarkable is its captivating portrayal of a Hollywood love triangle like in the movie "An Affair To Remember (1957)". In Sleepless in Seattle, one of the main characters yearns for a love story similar to the romance between Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr.
Atlas (2024)
Jennifer Lopez's acting in this movie was so powerful that it made me cry.
Jennifer Lopez's acting in this movie was so powerful that it made me cry. Unless you have exceptional acting abilities, it's quite difficult to pull off in an AI action fantasy film. "Jenny From The Block" has made significant progress in her acting abilities over the past 10 years, and I am filled with pride for her. She has made significant progress in her acting career. Of course, being an executive producer of this film can also increase her chances of landing a leading role in an action fantasy movie. I have been working in the field of information technology for 30 years, earning a living. This film script is incredibly convincing and has effectively depicted the fears shared by many developed countries for the past two decades. This movie explores the disastrous consequences that can occur when GenAI bots gain cognitive abilities and go rogue. On the other hand, the movie script also demonstrates the positive aspects of connecting human consciousness to GenAI in the afterlife. Envision a world where humans can live well beyond 100 years old, still cherishing family dinners and actively participating in enjoyable activities as cyborgs. AI is here for the long haul, which means we'll need to learn how to navigate it, just as we did when cars took over from horses as the primary mode of transportation.
Riviera (2017)
Season 1 was an incredible cloak & dagger ride
Back in 2017, I wanted to watch this TV show, but it wasn't available on Amazon Prime. With the show now streaming on Amazon, I couldn't resist watching all of Season 1, and it was an incredible cloak & dagger ride. The character played by Julia Stiles unintentionally becomes part of a Mob family on the French Riviera through marriage, without her knowledge. Julia Stiles' ability to add depth to her characters has always captivated me. "The 10 Things I Hate About You" is my favorite among all her movies. Since then, I've been keeping up with her movie roles, and she delivered an outstanding performance in the Riviera. The performances of Lena Olin, Dimitri Leonidas, Roxane Duran, and Iwan Rheon in Season 1 of this show were incredibly impressive, adding great depth to their characters as well. I was hooked and couldn't resist watching the entire first season, so I finished it in just 72 hours. Each episode had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation. One more exciting thing about this show is that Iwan Rheon, known for his role in Game of Thrones as a member of the Greyjoy bloodline, plays one of the Mob Brothers.
Coming to America (1988)
This script shows the status of African Americans who possess wealth in American society.
The remarkable aspect of this movie script is that it portrays African Americans in affluent roles, which were not common in cinema between 1920 and 1980. Prior to that point in movie history, Sidney Poitier was the lone actor who showed any form of affluence. Thus, this script demonstrates the status of African Americans who possess wealth in American society. Immersed in luxury and riches, courteous Prince Akeem, the refined heir to Africa's prosperous kingdom of Zamunda, summons up the courage to reject an arranged marriage proposal by the king on his 21st birthday. More than anything in the world, the noble bachelor yearns to be loved for who he is and not for his title.
It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
Life is already tough, and having kids increases the complexity.
Throughout the filming process, James Stewart grappled with PTSD and depression because of his time in World War II. Stewart's acting became notably darker after the war as he knew he had killed civilians in Germany and occupied Europe. This movie influenced and shaped the attitudes of both Baby Boomers and Generation X. The film's plot resonates with young adults who become parents and have to provide for all their children every day of their lives. Life is already tough, and having kids increases the complexity. This amazing screenplay reminds us that their survival relies on you, particularly during the holiday season.
It Could Happen to You (1994)
No one would pass up the opportunity for free money
During the release of this movie, a significant portion of the X-generation had reached their mid-twenties and were classified as young adults. Millions of Americans were thinking about getting married, starting a family, working multiple jobs, and trying to buy a house. Many production companies consider making a movie that focuses on the story of someone who becomes a multimillionaire through winning the state lottery. Before winning the lottery, Charlie dined at a cafe and was unable to leave a tip for the waitress. He jokingly promised her that if he won the lottery, he would share half of the winnings with her. It's hard to believe that anyone would pass up on the opportunity to receive free money that can be spent on a house, paying bills and supporting their family.
Respect (2021)
Jennifer Hudson is brilliant in this biography picture of Aretha Franklin
Jennifer Hudson is brilliant in this biography picture of Aretha Franklin. Over the course of two decades, she has proven herself to be one of the most remarkable black female performers I have ever witnessed on screen. The intensity of her performances on screen is so remarkable that you will shed tears multiple times in each of her movies. She is a gifted individual who brings joy to all fans of Hollywood; myself included. I came into the world in 1968, just three months prior to the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. My mother loved Aretha Franklin's music and acting. I was unaware for four decades that Dr. King had a close friendship with Miss Franklin's family and her father, who was a Baptist preacher. When she was 16 years old, Aretha toured with Dr. King and eventually performed at his funeral in 1968. Aretha Franklin serenaded the funeral procession as it made its way to Morehouse College, singing the iconic song 'We Shall Overcome'. It's astonishing how many historical details you can still be unaware of, even if you were born and raised during the tumultuous 1960s and 1970s in the United States. Both my parents and Aretha were born in the 1940s. Every day of my life, our home was filled with the music of the Queen of Soul. The years between 1950 and 1980, when the movie Blues Brothers came out, were filled with countless memories in the movie "Respect." At 56 in 2024, some of my childhood memories with my parents have become faded. Emotions overwhelmed me as I watched the biography film "Respect," reliving the ups and downs of Ms. Franklin's extraordinary life. I discovered something interesting - Ms. Dinah Washington, who called herself the Queen of the Blues, was actually friends with the Franklin family. Surprisingly, she was quite angry with Aretha Franklin for performing her songs when she started her career in blues clubs during the 1960s. Well done, Bravo Film Crew!
Hitsville: The Making of Motown (2019)
Fierce rivalry among the renowned 1970s boy and girl R&B bands are absolutely captivating.
Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson, the two founders of Motown Records USA, narrate this documentary. The incredible narratives about the Jackson 5's early beginnings, Stevie Wonder's remarkable start at the age of 12, his romantic involvement with Diana Ross, and the fierce rivalry among the renowned 1970s boy and girl R&B bands are absolutely captivating. The hit songs of the 1970s by R&B groups were often chosen for promotion across the country through private meetings attended by Berry, Smokey, and various office staff members. Between 1950 and 1980, radio DJs owned the airwaves, playing albums that were available for purchase at record stores, appealing to listeners of all ages. I was born in 1968. Streaming media and social media channels were not part of our lives back then.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024)
Movie script captured the essence of the (1984) original Ghostbusters film
This movie script perfectly captured the essence of the (1984) original Ghostbusters film, pleasing lifelong fans of the franchise. The Spengler family reunites with the original Ghostbusters at the iconic New York City firehouse, Hook & Ladder 8, where the Ghostbuster organization's journey first began. The writers included some old 1984 ghosts in this film as well. I was impressed by how the film crew and editors skillfully included Harold Ramis in the Afterlife (2021) film. The passing of Harold in 2014 left all his fans deeply saddened. Now that we know Dr. Egon Spengler's family has inherited his super-natural-scientific talents, it is game on for the next generation of Ghostbusters. The cameo characters of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts and William Atherton were brilliant. Seeing those characters again in the movie script was extremely satisfying and resonated with me as a member of the Generation X fans. I'm not finding Finn Wolfhard's portrayal of Trevor Spengler convincing in this iteration of Ghostbusters. It's as if his personality took a complete 180 compared to the script of the Afterlife film. In my opinion, Finn portrayed the character with more depth in the Afterlife (2021) edition of Ghostbusters. It could be attributed to his involvement in script writing, but the portrayal of the 18-year-old brother in the Spengler family didn't resonate with me. McKenna Grace, Paul Rudd, and Carrie Coon nailed their parts in the Spengler family business.
Damsel (2024)
A captivating story because Elodie has an intense aversion to death
For those of us who love fantasy and the acting professional by the name of Millie Bobby Brown, this Netflix film is for you. Damsel (2024) A dutiful damsel agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. What makes this story captivating is that the character Elodie, played by Millie Bobby Brown, has an intense aversion to death. Elodie embraces her destiny as a member of the royal bloodline, but her life is not solely determined by the existence of dragons, royal families, and obedient villagers. This movie plot is the quintessential story of a hero's journey with her family, royal bloodline and friends by her side.
