Evaru (2019)
Gripping narrative, never knew the truth right till the end!
The movie never bores you. Sesh does a great job in keeping the suspenseful atmosphere alive. Regina does an okay'ish job as a victim yet her dialogues feel like a struggle. Naveen Chandra kills it in his angry cop role. Its a shame nobody is talking much about him.
Shooting the same scene from different perspectives helps the audience digest the different explanations and improvisation put forth by Regina's character even better. The bluish colour tone and dark atmosphere especially in the property scene was excellent. The story feeds us with falsity right from the beginning and we explore the truth along with Sesh as the story progresses, so guessing the plot twists is really difficult. The final twist is almost un -guessable and will make sure you leave satisfied.
We need more such movies.

Great concept. Could have been darker...
The plot is excellent. The movie is rightly paced (you will hardly ever find yourself getting bored in between). Doesnt waste too much time building romance between the protagonist and his love. Rakul's role is significant and empowering.
For all these pluses, i feel the movie suffers from a lack of emotional depth. We are not given a chance fair enough to 'feel' Aditya's suffering. Yes, I agree that he was shown getting repeatedly mistreated by the jailers and falling prey to jail 'politics', but hardly any of them boiled my blood.
Overall, the film was really great. This should have been in the theaters.
