Gigli (2003)
I wish I could build a time machine and keep myself from renting 'Gigli.'
This movie was so horribly wretched I can barely put it into words.
But I can try.
Larry Gigli is supposed to be this really tough mafia guy who is told to kidnap the brain-damaged brother of a federal prosecutor. His boss forces him to pair with this lesbian mafia chick called Ricki. The two are supposed to keep an eye on each other, but instead grow to care for their brain-damaged kidnappee.
Can you imagine it? Some executive out there that thought this would make a GOOD movie? By the way, using a brain-damaged character for comedy relief is the stupidest idea ever.
Did Hollywood learn nothing from Jar Jar Binks?
Stripperella (2003)
WAAAAY better than I thought...
This show is a great spoof of both the spy and the superhero genres. I was a little anxious at first, but I was laughing like a high-schooler by the time the show had ended. As a matter of fact, I think this was a better spoof than the last Austin Powers flick. That's right. I said it.
Keen Eddie (2003)
Spectacular "Fish out of Water" type series.
As I said in the summary, this is a "fish out of water" type series. Eddie Arlette is a disgraced NYPD detective who is forced by his best friend/district attorney to go to the UK and redeem himself by tracking down the head chemist from a huge drug operation that will flood the streets of Europe with OxyContin. Eddie must adjust to his new surroundings, his new roommate, Fiona, and to his new partner, Pippin.
All in all, I'd say that this certainly a show worth watching. 9/10 stars.
Batman & Robin (1997)
Stupid Film.
This movie was nothing more than a poorly written toy commercial. A complete waste of my time. While I like Clooney, he was a ridiculous Batman and he made this movie a terrible addition to the Batman franchise. The only good thing about the franchise was Michael Gough.
The Boondock Saints (1999)
Brilliant
From top to bottom this film shines with comedy, action, and drama--creating a mix of genres that anyone will love. Willem Defoe's performance is, in my humble opinion, the best performance of his career (and the studios wanted Bill Murray to play Smecker). Of course, the actor who stole the show was David Della Rocco. He was an excellent actor who, I hope, will show up again in other films. The film raises several moral questions. They kill people who would kill good people. The Saints kill mobsters, pimps, and thugs. Are their actions truly harming society?
Who knows for sure...
