Death Note (I) (2017)
8/10
Honestly, I just enjoyed seeing one of my favorite tv shows get turned into something new
9 November 2023
And I understand why it's a problem for most people that this version of Death Note deviated so much from the manga and show. And admittedly, Light's actor has a couple iffy moments and kind of downgraded as a character, L completely changed character at the end, and Ryun kind of looks like a Halloween costume (but he is somewhat scary at first and William Decor's voice is amazingly fitting). However, I personally liked this new plot and would rather have watched this, then seeing this movie be a copy of the original. Additionally, this movie was very thrilling and exciting, and the ending was shocking and satisfying. So if you're debating on whether or not to watch this Death Note, ask yourself if you're fine with this Death Note being totally different from the original.

Dang, I never realized how good this movie is
11 October 2023
I just watched this movie on a long drive home, and it's much better than I remember the other. 2-3 times I watched it. The action is extremely thrilling, the characters completely capture you in their past and personality, and the last thirty minutes is so much more satisfying and entertaining than I remember it. It's a shame that Star Wars 8 & 9 weren't as good as this, but at least Andor is. Go watch Rogue One if you haven't already and if you have, it could be time to rewatch it and see if you're viewpoint on it is different than the last time you've watched it; I know mine is, and I'm glad I rewatched this gem.

I guess I don't find things over the top
11 October 2023
Most of the people that watched this movie hated it for being over the top, and I guess I kind of understand this. However, I suppose I don't find many movies over the top, such as Old, Black Adam, or the two Escape Rooms to name some movies labeled over the top that I really loved. Meg 2 is another one of these over the top movies that I found entertaining throughout it's never ending action, intensity, and decent amount of humor. If you're like me and rarely find movies over the top, then don't hold yourself back from watching the Meg 2 due to it's low ratings like I was going to do, for you'll have a fun time watching this.

Missing (I) (2023)
8/10
Mostly what I expected, although the ending was better than I predicted
20 August 2023
If you watched Searching and absolutely loved it then you may have had the same expectations I did about this film; Missing couldn't possibly be as excellent as Searching was, but it probably would still be pretty good. And it was pretty good. The film had a great pace, great twists, great thrills, and great actors. However, I thought the ending was a little lacking. It kind of went for a Get Out type ending, but ultimately ended up as an ok one. But I kind of expected a horrible ending due to other reviews anyway, so it's acceptable. In conclusion, compared to the pace, twists, thrill, actors, and ending of Searching, Missing is definitely the inferior film. Separate from Searching though, this film is still really good. P. S. Shout out to Javi.

Now, I know what you're thinking
11 August 2023
I rated KSI: In Real Life a 9/10 because I'm a hardcore fan of KSI, and not because of the quality of the actual documentary. Honestly, I don't blame you for assuming this; half of the people who rated this probably rated it a 10 or 1 because they love or hate KSI. I can assure you that I gave KSI: In Real Life a 10 because this documentary deserves it. Why? Mainly because of the parts in it about KSI's family. Don't get me wrong, the rest of the documentary was hilarious, and fascinatingly made me realize the type of person KSI is; not the good stuff I already knew, but the flaws. However, they can't compare to the parts about his family that hit home. Every time family was mentioned I could feel the water in my eyes trying to break free. I told myself as I watched: "I ain't crying in no documentary." I could not let a documentary be the 5th movie I've cried in out of 300+. But once JJ broke down, I did too. And I'm not talking about a tiny droplet that pushed its way just outside my eye, I'm talking about full on tears that went to my chin. Out of those 5 movies I've cried in, I had never cried as much as I did this time. The only reason this isn't a 10/10 is because most of the movie doesn't have an intense emotion, but the parts that do are sensational. In conclusion, if you are an old or new fan of KSI, watch this through to the end, for if you've never cried in a film, this could be your first.

Kang carries
1 July 2023
Honestly, he's one of the best villains in the MCU and in this movie he absolutely carries. This movie probably would've been my least favorite MCU movie without him. In fact, I was kind of rooting for him, something I've never done in any movie. Everything else but the comedy (which is quite underrated on IMDb) was absolutely horrible. Especially M. O. N. O. K. Or Derek. Any part that he's in pains me. I wish he wasn't a part of this movie. Most of the Quantumania people are forgettable too, but there are some good ones. The CGI is iffy in some spots but for the rest of the movie it's alright. Overall, Quantumania was half really good and half cheesy that I only recommend if you don't absolutely hate Phase 4 MCU.

Out of 298 movies, this is the 4th movie I've cried in
29 May 2023
So to make me cry is a massive milestone for any movie. And I Can Only Imagine achieved this incredibly by making me cry not only once, but twice, with my breathing starting to shake the first time I cried. In addition to the parts of the movie I cried in, there are other emotional, hilarious, and intense scenes. However, the two parts I cried in are what takes the cake for me, for I consider myself a tough person when it comes to crying in movies. I truly tried so much to hold my tears in, but this movie fought back amazingly. In conclusion, please watch I Can Only Imagine and don't let it be a movie that you pass by.

I guess there's nothing else to say about Guardians of the Galaxy 3
14 May 2023
So I'll just say that I thought it was better than the first Guardians of the Galaxy but worse than the third one, and I guess I'm one of the weird people that like the second movie better than the first one. Overall, this movie's ending wasn't as emotional as I expected; the emotion is kind of spread throughout the whole movie. If you liked this movie I would also recommend Bullet Train and Dungeons and Dragons. They're both similar movies to this one: messy but extremely fun. Personally, I found D&D to be better than Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and since it's in the theaters right now I need people to watch it so I can have a sequel. All in all, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is a fun, funny, crazy, and fitting ending to an amazing trilogy (if you've made it this far just know I'm not usually this bad at writing).

Edit: After truly loving rewatching the first Guardians, I know now that my list of this trilogy from best to worst is 2, 1, 3.

12 Angry Men (1957)
8/10
Watching 12 Angry Men for the first time in 2023 for ELA
5 May 2023
And it truly surprised me that it was actually good. I thought it was impossible that a black and white movie that truly looks and feels like it was made hundreds of years ago could actually still be good today. And sure, in my opinion 12 Angry Men doesn't deserve its #5 spot that it has on IMDb top 250 movies, but I bet it did deserve that spot when it was made. Anyways, the reason 12 Angry Men is so good is because of its idea and plot. The idea of this movie is spectacular and the plot of juror #8 slowly doing what he does throughout the movie is entertaining to watch. So while 12 Angry Men appears like some movie your grandma would tell you to watch, I'll tell you that it's actually really good.

If Guardians of the Galaxy 3 fails due to Disney, replace it with this.
5 April 2023
No but honestly this movie feels more like Bullet Train to me if you've watched that. Now, I understand why people hate this movie; the plot is very free flowing and a bit confusing. Plus, not every joke lands and the actors could be considered weak (although their overall personalities in the movie make them extremely fun). With that being said, I personally loved Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, because it was just so entertaining. I was engaged in the movie the whole time because every character and every situation felt unique and exciting. In the end, people are going to hate Dungeons and Dragons, it's just the way it is. But I, and hopefully you, won't.

P. S: I've never played D&D, I only know it from Stranger Things.

Edit: Guardians of the Galaxy 3 did not fail.

Good Omens (2019– )
8/10
I don't even know why it's good
4 March 2023
I haven't read the book, i didn't even know there was a book until just a moment ago from writing this review. Anyways, Good Omens doesn't even have a reason for being so good. It isn't super thrilling, the story is absurd, and I rarely ever laughed. But Good Omens is just really fun to watch. And it's all thanks to the two main characters, they just are entertaining. Anytime they aren't on screen the show goes down in entertainment, gets boring, and kind of becomes cheesy. I honestly would watch them do anything and be incredibly entertained. With that being said, the last episode is pretty good on it's own. Goodbye.

Season 2 edit: This season is just a tad worse than the first season. Yes, there is more focus on the main two characters and it had me laughing a little more. The side characters are equally bad, although Gabriel and the bug lady in the last episode were entertaining. The main thing that made this season worse was that the first four episodes were slow and it felt like the spark that quietly made season one a good show was gone. In conclusion, if season 3 receives the same amount of hate as this season has I probably won't be watching it.

How to teach your kids the definition of crazy, weird, and insane.
7 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Although if your kid doesn't know those definitions, I wouldn't show them this. Also, I wanna say sorry for not making this review spoiler-free, it's just kind of difficult because of what I wanna talk about. First off, the twist is actually really good, no matter whether you expected it or not. And something weird about the twist is that it wasn't cheesy and unbelievably. I think this goes to the fact that Jordan Peele acknowledged the insanity of his twist and that the buyers in on it actually have reasons, the only good one, but nowhere close for a reason to take a life, being the blind guy's. The twist definitely lives up to the weirdness and tenseness of the first 2/3 of the movie, something you don't often find. It may not be quite as good as the Sixth Sense's twist, but it's nowhere near the worst twist I've seen. Then after the twist we experience an incredibly intense ending. Speaking of the ending, I'm glad they ended it where they did, instead of dragging it on like many other movies do. In the end, this movie is just a tad bit worse version of Parasite, Joker, and The Sixth Sense, and that's saying a lot (yes, these are the only movies I could think of that slightly resemble Get Out, just because this movie is incredibly original).

The Devil's Hour (2022– )

Sixth Sense + Loki + Christopher Nolan = The Devil's Hour/A better version of The Watcher
2 December 2022
And it literally feels like all of these movies and people's movies got combined to make the amazing Devil's Hour. The Sixth Sense is in this movie because of the child with an unique ability, Loki because of the Sci-fi and detective part of it, Christopher Nolan because this just feels like a movie made by him with all of the insane ideas, and a better version of The Watcher because these shows are similar but The Devil's Hour is just better. But along with these movies is a ton of originality, good acting, the feel of a high budget show, scary pieces of horror, and an insane last episode. I also have to mention that The Devil's Hour doesn't have a single episode that is bad or is a filler episode. All of those inspirations, along with someone's owns brilliant ideas and execution, create the Devil's Hour, a show that might be my new favorite.

P. S. If a more seasons don't come out then I'm unsubscribing from Prime Video. There's some motivation. So come on guys, watch this show because it's actually an insane and because I need more seasons.

I feel for Manti
23 August 2022
The first episode is good and all but the second episode really hit home. It makes me feel so bad for Manti, and frustrated at the people that destroyed Manti's life. And it makes me feel amazing that Manti found hope in his dire place.

P. S. I don't want to talk about Ronai.

The Gray Man (2022)

I am saddened by how low The Gray Man is rated
26 July 2022
Because it is amazing. The action is at least. Whether it's guns and explosions or Cobra Kai style fighting it's some of the best action I have ever seen. The rest of the movie is ok, but good enough to not ruin the whole movie. So if you watch this expect some of the best action you have ever seen, nothing else.

Just in case you don't know where to find this short, it's on YouTube
6 July 2022
And it honestly isn't that bad. Christopher Nolan accomplished a mediocre twist (that's still a twist) in 3 minutes without using any words at all. I'm gonna do something else now instead of writing a summary that takes over 3 minutes.

Stranger Things (2016–2025)
10/10
I've watched 32 shows in total and Stranger Things is my favorite
4 July 2022
Stranger Things is filled with suspense, chuckles, tears, excitement, thrills, surprises, and even sometimes non-cheesy romances (don't get Nancy involved).

Season One: Everybody likes season one. Its the season that started the whole show and is filled with suspenseful twist and turns. I love the style of everything adding up in the end. The only negative is Nancy's romance.

Season Two: This season is pretty much a copy of the first season. Although I would consider it narrowly below season one's level of amazingness.

Season Three: This season is very controversial for many Stranger Things fans. I don't understand what makes this season so bad for some people. For me, having a little bit of chessyness in order to have comedy and a very emotional last episode is a decent trade. This season is the tinniest step down from the last seasons, not a massive step like some people think.

Season Four: This new season is much different than the other seasons. This season takes a more horror route than Stranger Things did before, and has a few episodes that stand out as truly amazing (episode 4, 7, and 9). The only downside is the length of the episodes. I feel like Netflix caused this, but it still doesn't make a huge impact to the season overall. Thinking about it I truly think this is my favorite season.

If you've read through this whole review congratulations, I would've skipped it because it was to long. Now, stop reading this review and go watch Stranger Things!

There's good and bad
19 June 2022
Jurassic Park may have a very messy plot, lots of plot holes, and no emotion, but the movie still manages to excite you as long as you don't have massive expectations.

Meh
15 June 2022
The first half of the show was pretty boring and had cheesy romances, but had its moments. The second half had relatable (though not cry-worthy) emotion and wasn't boring. Overall the show was decent.

Sure this episode came in at the wrong spot where the whole story was climaxing. Sure this doesn't do anything to the overall plot. But I still enjoyed every part of it.

DO NOT READ ANY MORE REVIEWS
8 May 2022
Because you will regret it and suffer the consequences for reading the reviews on The Sixth Sense. Whether the review shows they have spoilers or not do not read them. Many of the non-spoiler reviews spoil the epic plot-twist of The Sixth Sense, and if you know what the twist is, then your enjoyment watching this amazing thriller and one of the best movies I've ever watched, will be ruined. Do not read The Sixth Sense's reviews or you WILL suffer the consequence.

Very strange
7 May 2022
And also very original. Doctor Strange 2 is a movie like no other. That being said the whole plot and storyline were messy and sometimes this movie went over the top, but most of the time it was a solid sci-fi horror experience. Overall it was pretty good.

Don't understand the 8.8
21 April 2022
I truly don't understand how this show is rated so high, maybe something to do with Cartoon Networks. Most episodes are pretty cheesy with the only good episodes being the ones with the woodsman and the Beast. Overall I would recommend watching other shows.

This ending was depressing and thrilling. I know why some people didn't like it and I understand them but to me the ending was satisfying, emotional, and deserves to be called the last episode of Death Note.
