The Penny Black (2020)
Is it really worth finding out the mystery sometimes, even if it has no merit?
I just watched this film. I've been into stamps all because of one of my top favorite movies, "Tommy Tricker and the Stamp Traveler". After loving this so much when I was younger, this movie had actually gotten me into the hobby of stamp collecting. So, being into stamps I was curious about this film. I found the whole premise of this film to be totally pointless. They keep talking about how he was the son of a con man, and this made it seem like the director had something in mind with the character, but it had nothing to do with it from what I've seen. It was not even important to mention it, really.
Basically, the guy thinks that there is more to this stamp collection, and they go about it by making it appear that it may have even belonged to someone who has been killed which was not even at all tied to this person, I don't think.
So, after 2 years or so, he decides to try and find the guy who gave him the stamps to look after, but he kept one small binder for himself, I think.... I lost interest and was watching this picture in Picture while multi-tasking as it was just something to give little attention to. I get it, Willy was curious about this guy and the mystery of the stamps, but why keep the one, and clearly the guy wasn't going to come back for them after 2 years after saying he was coming back in 2 weeks and never showing up for them.
Pointless documentary , really. He was just as well off to keep the stamps and leaving the mystery behind, as there was nothing good coming out of it even if he had found out the truth, as it could have most likely led him to his own demise. Should've just kept the lot of stamps and forgotten about this story.
Freaky (2020)
"Friday the 13th" Meets "The Hot Chick"
If you wanna see a little more graphic version version of "The Hot Chick" starring Rob Schneider, than maybe you should check out Vince Vaughn playing Jason Voorhees, only DON'T! Omg, what has Vince been reduced to by allowing himself to be taken in absolutely dreadful plots like this? The man should retire with dignity. Great actor, and I won't let the poor plot of this destroy his reputation, but if he keeps doing these, than he will do it to himself. Lol
The headline says it all -- this is "The Hot Chick" plot with a slice of horror, only the hot chick was way better. Not much thought gone into the title, either. That same little amount of thought went into this film.
The Bubble (2022)
This movie makes even less sense than the Covid Bubble...and that's sayin' something!
Another dumbfounded story line. Comedy, yet nothing is even funny about this movie , except the writer. Whoever come up with this is the biggest joke in all of this. Unreal, many of the comedies this generation. 80's and 90's had the best comedies.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
This should of been called "Mad Maxine" Charlize Theron was the real star in this!
This movie was pretty good, I must say, and I Love most of Tom Hardy's movies, but this wasn't a movie for Hardy. His acting was poor. He barely even spoke. Not that Max was much of a talker, but it would make you wonder if he had his tongue cut out at first. As the headline says, Charlize Theron was the true star of this film and gave it a world. Aside from her role, this movie would be rather boring, as it had many dragged out scenes, but all in all pretty good movie, but they needed a better max. Hardy just didn't cut it at all.
Karmouz War (2018)
I actually sent the report to Netflix thinking it was the incorrect movie.......
Saw Scott Adkins on the cover and thought this was going to be a solid Adkins film; after watching and watching with the terrible dubbing, I was like, this is sooo not the correct movie. So, after fast forwarding and still no sign of Adkins, I sent the report to Netflix stating it's the wrong film. The biggest disappointment was, it was actually the right film with a whole 5 minutes or so of Adkins in it. What a trick! They market the movie with Adkins all over it, and he is barely even in the film. No idea why he even made the cover for this film with the little cameo they gave him. Terrible film at that. Pass!
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
Really good movie! Ignore the reviews and see for yourself.
Ignore the negative reviews, this movie was really good! I went into this movie expecting it to be half decent at best, but this was actually a really good movie with a great story. No idea why people gave this such bad reviews. I enjoyed it, and I say you will ,too.
Lost Girls and Love Hotels (2020)
A great movie and a realistic approach to girls who have found themselves in a similar situation.
After seeing the low rating, I felt the need to leave a review on this film. I really enjoyed it and it actually does resemble very much so, the behavior of girls who have feelings of deep angst.and a dark background that make them feel the way they do about themselves and they go for the bad boy type and end up getting attached to the wrong kind of person because of how deeply warped there mind is with a very dark past. With all of that in mind, it doesn't mean things cannot change for any single lady who does have those dark feelings about themselves and a bad past. Things can change. Sometimes we all just need to see the bigger picture, and with the right experience , there is hope for anyone going through very jaded and cynical feelings. This film will definitely relate to many females who went through or still going through a very similar experience.
Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
What a disgrace for the final film of the franchise. I expected so, so, much more.
This movie had so many flaws and had totally re-arranged the whole story of John Rambo. Major plot holes all over that contradicts the whole Rambo Franchise. To me, I had to pretend that this film doesn't even exist because it totally defeats the whole premise of the Rambo films. Here are just a few major flaws that has no concept of the story of John Rambo: Rambo was a lone wolf, with no family, no friends, just a survivor of war, and knows no other way of life and is scarred mentally. So, they suddenly decide that he has family? Why change the whole plot when that's not even the story of Rambo? Ok, another major flaw is, Rambo would never set himself up to get killed and walk right into that confrontation where, in reality , he would of been killed just like that. Again, that's not Rambo. Rambo has a plan, that won't fail, and would never be foolish enough to just walk into a possible trap. They needed to eliminate the family that he never had, simply because he never had any family - that's Rambo. My writing for this film would involve Rambo hiding out off of the grid and hiding from enemies off war that were hunting him, and he ends up meeting up with a buddy from war whom he thought was dead after all of these years and they both team up for a one final battle of last blood for the finale of the franchise.
That's what I would of done. They ruined and disgraced the franchise with this false representation of Rambo.
Untraceable (2008)
Unwatchable! Had to fast forward through this terrible film.
Boring! Any and every crime show I have ever seen on tv was better than this film. Very predictable plot, I just wish I could have predicted how bad it was actually going to be.
Det sjunde inseglet (1957)
One of the top 200 movies on IMDB??? More like the top 200 worst movies ever!
I have no idea how anyone can give this movie a top rating to make it one of the top movies of all time. This was one of the worst movies that I have ever seen in my entire life. Actually, it may be the very worst. This movie made no sense, and was an absolute ludicrous depiction of the actual description of the movie; they showed no happenings of the possibility of judgement day being remotely close. If they are going to try and convince the audience about the 7th seal, add a plot that involves it. This movie reminds me of something that William Shakesphere would write, only it would make a little more sense than this. How can anyone call this movie a masterpiece? I cannot believe how bad this film is.
Death Proof (2007)
Movie Death Proof... Yep.
I had to fast forward through this Tarantino 70's theme style garbage. Why would Kurt Russell even agree to starring in something as terrible as this? Have some pride, my buddy lol.
The Blacklist: The Cyranoid (No. 35) (2021)
The Blacklist meets The X-Files. The Terminator is next to appear on the Blacklist lol
I enjoy most of the ideas they come up with, but from time to time they come up with wild and ludicrous ideas like this episode with The Cyranoid. Lol
It would of made more sense to have the villain be a Hologram designer or something. This was something I would expect to see on The X- Files. 😄
Slap Shot (1977)
What a disappointment! Worst Hockey movie I had ever seen!
I love a lot of hockey movies (Miracle on Ice; Miracle; The Mighty Ducks; D2; Youngblood; Goalie - Terry Sawchuk; The Rocket - Maurice Richard) so I had to finally watch this so called classic, and after all of the great reviews I thought it was a shoe in to be great. Boy, was I ever wrong! The beginning had some great humor at times, but got old during the middle and end to which it not only lacked humor , it lacked everything! This movie was pure garbage! I loved Paul Newman in "The Hustler" and "Cool Hand Luke" , but his character had not much to go on here as the story had zero plot, and just a story that makes no sense of absolutely nothing going on. It's just like a hockey spoof movie, only a spoof would of been much better. This was absolutely meaningless with random fights that were poorly directed. The best thing I liked about this film was that the coach was actually a player, too. It was a different approach to hockey that can actually make sense in real life, as the coach playing can guide them during play opposed to time outs. The thing they actually did that wasn,t supposed to make sense, actually makes sense to me. Well, that's this movie for ya. Don't expect much lol.
Lady Driver (2020)
Surprisingly a very good movie. : )
I wasn't expecting a lot, but this movie had a lot more to offer than I had expected. I enjoyed the lead actress and supporting actors in this a lot. Great movie.
Uncut Gems (2019)
Sandler played an awesome role, but the plot was just terrible.
I gotta say that I loved how Sandler played this character, and did a fantastic job, but you cannot blame an actor for terrible writing and a terrible plot that failed to close. Movie had much potential to be good, especially with the great job Sandler did, but poor writing, directing = poor film.
