Corner Gas Animated (2018–2021)

First of all, it's amazing theories. The humor is amazing and Brett is great comedian, and very dry. I put it up there with the Simpsons (The animated version).

My only gripe is the series finale which reminded me of the final episode of MASH. So the part which defiantly would have done differently is the final scene when Brett is hollering Lacy's hand and she asks him "how long are you going to hold my hand". There are several times in the series when Brett show that he is attracted to Lacy. But it never really goes anywhere. I thought this time would be different.

Lacy is a complicated character in so much that she never quite fits in. This is virtually no conversation about "Ruby" the aunt. I found that interesting

Brett did so many things right that it was hard watching only one episode at a time.

Kudos-this is a classic.

That '90s Show (2023– )

Chill out. It works

Leia is terrific. She is very convincing and kind of reminds me of Amanda Bynes. In fact it's kind of a mashup of "What I like about you" and "That 70s show".

The cameios are fun and probably needed in season one. But so what.

I think the plots are great and the comedy writing is very funny.

Spoiler alert. This is not MASH nor does it try to be. It's also not that 70s show in the 90s. Well that is a matter of opinion.

It tough for writers, directors and producers to introduce sequels if the audience is going to jump down their throats after three episodes.

Spoiler alert. It's a sequel. It is not trying to hide that.

Some of us need to grow up.

Ghost (1990)

Brilliant and Perfect.

It's an awesome movie about the love between Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore's characters. Whoopi Goldberg is Whoopi.

This movie is comparable to Casablanca. The directing and editing is wonderful. Great plot. Not usually a big fan of supernatural but this is a big exception.

Besides being a romantic comedy, and supernatural movie, it has aspects of drama and adventure.

The movie completely captures the viewer's interest and attention throughout. There's really only four main characters and it's easy to follow the plot. Sometimes I find movies have too many characters and subplots, and I end up having to look things up in Wikipedia to see what I've missed.

In closing, I would say that, like Casablanca, if they do a remake, it will not be anywhere as good as this 1990's original.

Full disclosure-I am a baby boomer.

Blockbuster (2022)

Cute. Doesn't try to do too much

I'm on my fourth episode. I think it's pretty cute. I like the characters. I think it's funny that Netflix would do a series about a business that they destroyed. Worth a watch.

The character development is adequate, the characters aren't overly complicated.

If you're looking for something that won't stress you out, this might be a good choice for you. This is not a business series. This is a situational comedy. If somebody doesn't understand the difference between the two, maybe they should be doing reviews.

I think the appeal here is for people who grew up with blockbuster, but it also appeals to millenniums and younger as it has a lot of references to things like TikTok.

The Cube (II) (2021– )

Kind of stupid.

I watched ten minutes during the ALCS rain delay.

It did not capture my interest. But in fairness the only sport I love is MLB.

It's kind of reminds me of deal or no deal but not sure why.

It's hard to come up with a new game show. Seems like everything's been done. That's why I gave them three stars and not zero stars. It's because they're trying. They were overdo it with the lighting. They try to create excitement that's not really there.

And this particular one that I watched, the couple was involved in helping disadvantaged children, and we're going to use the money for that. I have a lot of respect for them and hope they win.

Medium (2005–2011)

Horrible

Like a bad soap opera. My wife is watching it. The acting is terrible. A bore. The writing is poor as well. If you have ensombia this is for you.

The Great Debaters (2007)

A great movie of courage and resolve

This movie is about justice and courage, while reminding us that doing the right thing is seldom easy or convenient. If we silence the past, and not learn from our mistakes and injustices, we will repeat it. Denzil Washington once again delivers an award winning performance. This is a must watch.
