Detroit: Become Human (2018)
Yes.
Oh my goodness. "Detroit: Become Human" was a exceptional and solid piece. Starting with the storyline and the progression of the story itself: paced, natural and engaging. I really felt connected not only to the characters, but to the story itself you know, like I was part of it. The characters were very well developed and the progression of the story demonstrated their personality and uniqueness just nicely. Personally, I found the gameplay nicely balanced; the actual gaming parts and the "movie" parts. No words to describe the graphics.
Just my jam.
The Complex (2020)
A little disappointing, but still satisfactory.
I've always been interested in such interactive stories. I really like the concept of it and I hope these types of stories get more valorized.
"The complex" was all right. Found it intriguing and entertaining. But it felt a little disappointing after I'd played/watched "Last Shift" from the same company. The storyline wasn't very engaging and some "unsuitable", unrelated dialogues throughout the progression of the story only lead me to confusion. Found the acting pretty good , but some parts felt a little awkward. As for the story context though, found it a good and grounded one.
Worth watching; just grab a snack and don't expect a 10 stars piece.
Late Shift (2016)
Interesting experience; such a promising field.
I've always been interested in such interactive stories. Hope it turns out more valorized.
I found "Late Shift" a good and solid piece. Nothing to complain about the acting. Actually liked very much the protagonist's. When it comes to the story progression itself and the story context though, I found it a little rushed and unnatural. Wished the mid choices thorought the story had more impact, but I understand all this takes lots of work.
In terms of cinematics, from a guy who doesn't get a thing about it, found it nice; really felt like a tv movie.
Entertaining indeed.
