The Ark (2023)
Refreshing new show!
Finally, a new show with some refreshing content and it is getting better every episode.
The show shows us realistic issues with long distance space travel without becoming too scientific to make it a documentary style show. Well done!
I have been waiting for a show like this since my all-time favorite "The Expanse" has ended. Way too early in my opinion.
The show is good entertainment with a somewhat believable core. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you like sci-fi and haven't seen it yet. It is much better than some of the low ratings given here.! I will keep watching and hope that the story will continue to be exciting.
Santa Inc. (2021)
Good satire
If you like satire, by definition a style of comedy that is politically incorrect and pretty much makes fun of everything, then you will enjoy this show. While it isn't game changing, it is certainly funny and enjoyable when you are open minded.
It is certainly better than all 1 star reviews given by people who have no clue about what they are talking about. Good grief! People like you are the reason why most of the world is looking down on us for being intolerant.
Satire is meant to make fun of religion, traditions, racism and pretty much anything else there is. And, yes, satire is typically bright, loud, vulgar, and tasteless.
If you are on here giving a 1 star review because the show hurts your beliefs and feelings, I pity you because you are just intolerant. Nothing less and nothing more.
The Family Man (2019)
Overrated
I started watching a few episodes based on the high ratings, but it ended up being a waste of time. I am expecting spy movies to be exciting and this just isn't. It is kind of like watching James Bond working for a spy agency without any budget. No exciting cars or spy gadgets. The result is a mostly boring show with some action scenes. Nothing to write home about and certainly not something I want to watch especially when there are better shows out there.

Good Second Movie
I really loved the first move and so I had high expectations for the second one. While the CGI continues to be on par with big budget movies, the story line was a little bit of a letdown for me. I mean the logic that the AI would violently kill thousands of innocents to get to its targets just doesn't line up with the philosophy of the first movie. I mean the AI in the first movie was very considerate and the aliens followed a strict no intervention code.
If you can look beyond that the movie is a solid effort to continue the story of the first movie. I also like it that it shows how dependent humans have become on their digital gadgets and how easy it is for an AI to fool people. This is definitely the strong part of the story that I enjoyed. However, I doubt that a real AI would just use such a head-on approach.
In summary, the movie is much more action heavy than the first one, but if you enjoyed the first movie, you will like this one as well. Have fun!

Excellent Sci-Fi Movie!
I was blown away by the refreshing story line. It brings on some impressive CGI eye candy that can keep up with big budget Hollywood movies while giving viewers a great introduction to people living in Russia including a closer look at day to day life including some Russian culture (e.g. music). In case you are wondering: They aren't too different from Americans or Europeans.
At the core, the movie is a love story between one of the aliens and a human girl. The actors have done a great job to put some life and comedy into their characters. I really enjoyed the confusion the alien is causing in many everyday situations. Well done!
On the downside, I feel that the movie could have been shortened by about 20 minutes. Some scenes didn't add much to the overall plot and could have been skipped.
Anyhow, if you love sci-fi movies, you should watch it. It combines an interesting love story with some unexpected humor caused by an alien not being familiar with our human day to day customs. Enjoy!
White Wall (2020)
Excellent Show!
I really enjoyed the first season. While the story itself holds enough mystery to want me to see more, it also very accurately depicts the conflict of doing the right thing vs profit at all costs we can all see so often these days. On one hand, we have a corporation that is building a "solution" to "solve" the nuclear waste problem. They are supported by employees that do their bidding by hiding a discovery that would stop the opening of the nuclear waste facility. On the other hand, we see people wanting to hide the discovery because they are scared of what it might bring. There is some erratic behavior along the way and the usual cheating husband side story. Both don't add much to the story. In fact, not having them would have accelerated the somewhat slow story plot.
For the second season, I am hoping to see some more focus on the main story line. I would like to know why the child has been having some kind of connection to the white oval. What is the connection with planet Mars? Who told the child not to tell anyone?
Anyhow, I enjoyed the show and will keep watching it. If you are looking for an intelligent sci-fi show that includes some realistic human behavior, you should watch this show. You will enjoy it!
